June 29, 2008 New Music: Beyonce – Honesty
I know today there are about 3 posts that include Beyonce, but now you are about to get a fourth one. A leaked track surfaced as she does a cover of Billy Joel’s “Honesty”. Beyonce’s version is very haunting and sad and I like that. I can’t tell if it will be on her upcoming November album or if it was just a track left off from previous sessions, but I think she did a wonderful job. I want to give a big thanks to Willy for letting me know about the track! Would you jam it or slam it?

If this were a new artist I would be impressed, but for Beyonce it was only ok for me. She seems to just vocally take a break on this song.

Beyonce sounds amazing as always, it’s so emotional (better than the original). I wish all her stuff would stop leaking though. It can’t be good for her. I can’t wait for her next album though.

I think Beyonce did a great job on this song. With her voice being as strong as it is, she can sometimes over-sing on slow tracks. she didn’t do that here. She kept it nice and mellow.

This is my fav Billy Jole song and she sings it like an angel! A GOOD SONG IS A GOOD SONG!

I think she did a great job on this. Not everyone can sing that was 1st done by one of the “greats” like Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Barbra, Celine, etc,etc.

Anything Beyonce does is gonna be great because she’s a hard worker. She loves music and never wants to disappoint her fans, that’s why she always brings it. Can’t wait for the CD to come out.

This is old, it was on a Japanese version of Dangerously in love album or something out that time, it is a cover of Billie Joel’s song, It wont be on her album.
