I am a fan of Katy Perry’s hit single “I Kissed A Girl” and her hilarious song “Ur So Gay”. I love it when an artist has a sense a humor! So I decided to give her album One Of the Boys a listen, which is a full-length follow up to Katy’s debut digital EP, Ur So Gay. I pumped up the volume when the CD opened with “One Of the Boys”. Let me tell you, B. Scott was jumping up all over the place! I think many people can relate to “Waking Up In Vegas” after having too many shut yo mouth potions and not remembering what happened the next morning. “Thinking Of You” is a beautiful song, because I have been in a relationship when I was dating someone but I couldn’t help but continue to think about my previous partner. I can’t stand when someone is “Hot N Cold”. They seem to never take a stand – always wishy washy, that’s why I like the song because I will not be with someone like that. Her lyrics are very descriptive – she is a great story teller. “I’m Still Breathing” is a very sad song yet beautiful. You have to listen to it. If you are looking for a mid-tempo/up-tempo CD, then this is the CD for you. This pop/rock witty inspired album is the way to go, so take a road trip with your girls and blast the CD.
