Sam Sparro’s released his self-titled debut album Tuesday and it is at a store near you. His debut is a joyous, glad-to-be-alive and utterly delicious mix of lush soulful vocals, electro pop beats and killer choruses. It makes me want to paw paw right now! The album shows off Sam’s voice in a full spine tingling effect while highlighting his wildly eclectic musical tastes. His lead single, “Black and Gold”, is a track that typifies Sam’s signature sound – as Sam would it put it, “classic soul meets classic funk mixed with the kind of music I listen to now,” including contemporary influences SWV and Hot Chip. His song “Black and Gold” has been watched about 5 million times on YouTube, but I am just now hearing the song! Peaches, this entire album is meew meew hot! I recommend “Sick” and “Pocket”. The latter is a very good life lesson! It hits good!

I love it! He sort of reminds me of Daniel Merriweather (if you don’t know his music, check it out too!).
