June 23, 2008 Ellen Plans Her Wedding!
Ellen DeGeneres must be on top of the world right now. She has a hit daytime television show, won a daytime Emmy award, and now she has set a wedding date with longtime girlfriend Portia de Rossi. When asked about how she felt about being able to be married she stated:
“I think someday people will look back on this like women not having the right to vote and segregation and anything else that seems ridiculous that we don’t all have the same rights,” DeGeneres said.
Take me higher lord and speak the truth Ellen! Thoughts?

I love Ellen, I wish her nothing but the best, they look good together! Even though I’m not into the same sex marriage thing, I must say to eaches own, love really doesn’t have a title!

She seems like such a sweet and down to earth person. I think it’s great that she can finally get married, too. Her and Portia seem like a nice couple and I think they have as much a right to get married as all us heterosexual couples. It’s good to finally see that America’s giving EVERYONE rights, no matter how slowly they’re doing it. That was an intelligent and well put response, as well.
