Lil Wayne is the guy to be right now at this moment with his hit album Tha Carter III selling over 1 million copies in its first week of release! Not only that, he will be appearing in Cassie’s new video for her first single “Official Girl” from her upcoming sophomore album.
“Puff surprised me with it,” the singer said of Wayne’s verse. “He laid the verse. I had no idea. I got on the phone and said, ‘Thank you.’ It’s great. With how he’s doing now … he’s platinum today, and he decided on his platinum day to be here with me. It’s great. He’s one of the best rappers out right now.”
Lil Wayne made the record so much better! Thoughts?

first and foremost, she sounds nothing like an angel. I love me some lil wayne but he was sipping on some sizzer doing this video shoot. 2nd Cassie is so last year. She needs to stick to modeling and leave the singing game alone. Especially after that video got leaked of her the bootleg/porno music video she put together.

First of all I agree, Cassie do be trynna pull of that Aaliyah stuff. Like that hardness she wuz trynna do in the video. It looks like they tried to do the song Aaliyah made wit DMX called “Back In One Piece.” Cassie is a pretty girl, and she has the talent. But honestly she needs her a new identity. me an you is ‘06. But she’s a good singer, she ain’t the best. And NO, she will never be Aaliyah….period. I think it’s cool she was her main influence..but low key it HAS gone to the point where she tryin’ a little too hard. Like Missy, Tweet, and Ginuwine said in “Take Away” the song dedicated to Aaliyah, there will NEVER be another girl to fill Aaliyah’s shoes. Not CASSIE, not CIARA..nobody period. They can try all they want to wit makin’ her the next Aaliyah but she can never match up to her, or live up to everything she had accomplished in her life. I mean Aaliyah was from the hood. Cassie went to a Prep school, and it really don’t look right when she try to do that hard thing. Cause she’s not puttin’ enough “mmph” into it ya know? But I like this song and the other ones she has made…and if she’d put a little more of her own creativity into it, she’d probably drop that “Aaliyah” image and vibe, and evolve into something better like Ciara did. I do get the Aaliyah vibe, but Aaliyah was and still is untouchable. Cassie is 22 yrs old,[coincidentally the age LiLi was when she died] I think it’s time for her to lose that Aaliyah thing and break into her own element. She ight though. But NEVER another Aaliyah.

And what else is also 2 eerie is how Lil wayne says Cassie’s voice “sounds like an angel” the same thing we have said about Aaliyah’s voice over the years..There’s 2 much stuff between Aaliyah and Cassie that is just way too eerily similar. Not just the image, the pics and the comparisons as well.
