Sorry to get all technical on everyone but Senator Obama won the majority of voters that will be voting in the General election! Let's not forget that PR cannot vote in the GE and the math that the Clinton camp was using does not include the caucus states.

I never said what you are because I didn't even know you were mixed, so don't put words in my mouth! I simply explained to you why people call him "black" and not "mixed raced" or "bi-racial". And I'm not talking about mixed race people who are obviously that like Rashida Jones. I'm talking about mixed race people who have a "black-looking hue" to their skin lke the ones I named. And quite frankly, noses nor skin or eye color mean anything. I know plenty of people with 2 black parents with green eyes, high yellow skin and european noses. That's massah mixing his blood in with the slaves, not necessarily parents of different races. He identifies himself as black, but that doesn't mean he doesn't acknowledge his white mother or grandparents. His African father left when he was 3 and he was raised by his white grandparents and he ALWAYS talks about them in high regard. It's self-identity and social standards and labels, nothing more, nothing less.

matt, sweetheart, I have news for you. In American society, if you're half black and half white, you're considered to be black. Alicia Keys, Halle Berry, Barack Obama...the list goes on. I mean, if you saw him on the street and didn't know anything about him or his parents, would you not say he were black?

Let me start off by saying that it is horrible for Democrats to act this way. As a Hillary supporter, I have been through hell and back--from people telling me that my Black card has been revoked to them saying I need to just die. I love Mrs. Clinton and I appreciate her for all that she has done; however, if you're going to dislike her do it because of YOUR own thoughts...not others'. Barack Obama receives my full attention. He is not the ideal person in my eyes, but neither is McCain (dare to dream) McCain has made it clear that he WILL NOT pull our troops out and was clearly against MLK Day...he even went as far as to debate against it. I am a democrat and Obama needs BOTH Hillary fans and "Democrats." It would do him good on the other hand to have her on the ticket...they share so many of the same views..98% like someone said before me, why not work together?! She would have chosen Barack Obama because she would have wanted the African American and young people vote. Either way, I will miss her campaign and will be there for Barack in November. No pun intended for anyone...just my thoughts. Crystal, please re-evaluate yourself and the things you have said, Hillary fans are not that mediocre nor are they without knowledge. She lost, and now we must secure the Democratic seat in the White House.

I figure we are all adults here and so I refuse to accept this I'm going to take all my toys and leave if I don't get my way game.

I can only imagine how the Hillary supporters feel...i would be totally bumbed if Barack were not nominated. I would be beyond bumbed...but of course for me as an African American I would naturally think...I guess we're still not good enough to the majority of Americans, because to me Barack is equaly qualified regardless of his ethnicity.

At the end of the day this is now not a Barack thing or a Hillary thing, it's a democrat thing. We want people in office who are going to support a democratic platform and if we do not unite we get the beautiful and talented John McCain...great.

We need each other. Had Hillary one, she would have needed the african-american vote and couldn't have won without it. Mccain's vision is not good for this country and hopefully democrats/independents will focus on that instead of the constant back and forth.

I've called no one a name...you're wrong just like her James, Be clear, Barck only needs democrats who support the party and all 18 million do not think like you two...many have already turned the page and got on board..I'm just calling it plain as day.

I repeat a democrat voting for John McCain is not really a democrat...the end.

Hillary did not loose...she almost won.

She's right Democrats 18 million of them are Hillary supporters and BObama does need them. Name calling goes both ways, it's the supporter not Hillary or Barack who is doing the name calling. It accomplices nada. Obama would be honored and happy to have those 18 million.

It doesnt matter if i agree or not..i repeat Obama and democrats need democrat supporters who support the party not people who support Hillary period and not the party...

We have a platform that we stand by and those that say they will vote for McCain are not Democrats...that's the bottom line we will find others to replace and the majority of Hillary Supporters are good dems...it's just a few NOT 18million faking like they are democrats...Any good democrat will know that we are standing for something not just some body.

Any democrat who is voting for McCain is just contrary...period....so bye you're against what Democrats stand for....you were with us for Hillary only....don't need you....Barack doesn't need Hillary supporters who are breaking away...because he knows what he stands for, and those who support him know as well.

As I was saying...

Hopefully Barack will NOT choose Hillary as his running mate. She is basically waiting for the assassination of Barack to become the Democratic candidate, or to become president. That's pretty much why she won't concede. If Barack has any sense, he won't choose Hillary for that reason. She makes those snide comments too often, and I would fear what she has up her sleeve.

I don't even want to get involved in the arguing going on concerning the Obama Clinton debate. My only issue is the Vice Presidency.

I wanted to say to some of you that I am glad to see so many people tuned into the campaign this year. I wish we had been this energized back in 2004 so we could have kicked Bush's ass out of office then, and look at the mess this country is in now. And what does Mccain have to offer? If anyone reads his platform, he is offering more of the same Bush foolishness. As a Hillary supporter, it would be a disgrace and a total slap in Hillary's face to vote for a candidate with totally opposite viewpoints on: Healthcare, Gay Rights, the war, the mortgage crisis, etc.

I am looking forward to joining the Obama supporters and getting to work on battling Mccain. I am energized to think what we can do once we all come together, the republicans are worried.

Now I am sure you are going to see some former supporters of Hillary talking about defecting to Mccain. As I have said before, let these folks go. If Obama and Hillary are similar on 98% of the issues, then what is the real reason these folks are not willing to vote for Obama? I will leave that up for others to figure out. I have my gut reason why, and folks are trying to find any reason (even dumb ones) to justify it. Take for example this video that one poster continues to speak of. That Video which I am sure all of us saw was not an illustration of the man's penis for godsake. Obama at that point had never been dressed casual on the campaign trail. You always saw him dressed in a suit and tie, that was the point of the media making light of his casual appearance. How anyone could read more into it than what it really was is mind boggling. I hold all of these candidates to the same level, not just Obama. I expect the leader of this country to have integrity, and will fight for the people of the country and not just the well off parts of the population. This video that one person talks about doesn't set race relations back at all, but I don't know if celebrating a birthday on the day that new orleans was underwater and people dying really helps with race relations either.

I really hope that Hillary extends her support for Obama in the right way. I swear both camps could really give the republicans a hard time this election!

Crystal you are dumber than a bag of hair. Please go away.. you are giving me a headahce. I dont think you represent Clinton supporters. For the most part they have much more intellect. You are what my European friends would call a "Dumb American.. You represent those people that voted for Bush because he seemed like a guy that they would like to have a beer with. You just keep on digging your self deeper with every post. I hate myself for even responding but they are just so banal, and beyond stupid. Your fake issues are laughable, you should consider getting a job for Fox news, I heard there research department is hiring.

Let me make myself clear and explain the importance of the erection video. Whether or not you choose to see what's going on in the video, it doesn't change what's going on. This video offensive is because this man is representing all black people, including the ten percent that didn't vote for him. I hold him to a higher standard than McCain or Clinton because of this. All black people should hold him to a higher standard. Anything that he does is projected onto all black people. It's not exactly fair, but when you are the first black person to do anything you determine whether there will ever be another black person to achieve the same accomplishment. This means that you always have to be aware of implications of your actions. You always have to think twice about what you're saying and how it can be interpreted. The erection video was not first time he's displayed a lapse in judgment, but it is one of the more careless. It screams that he doesn't understand or he just doesn't care about his responsibility as a representative of all black people. I'm not expecting him to be perfect, but he has to do better.

If floors me that so many are so willing to make excuses or try justify his bad decisions. You're not doing him or yourself any favors. You can say what you want about McCain, but his actions won't have the same ramifications as Obama's. McCain doesn't singlehandedly have the ability to set race relations back a hundred years. The president can't change anything without congress and vice versa. The GOP is losing seats all the place. There will be limitations to what McCain can do and it wouldn't take a hundred years to repair any damage he might cause. Electing McCain may result in our government being stagnate for the next four years, but I'm willing to take that risk. Obama's actions will affect black people for many years to come. I don't trust BO. When those red flags start to show up the worst thing you can do is ignore or excuse them. I've seen enough. Just because something unflattering is said about Obama, that does not automatically mean that it's false. I really believe that many people are wrapped up in the ideas of what Obama can do for them, but they aren't really paying attention to what Obama can do to them.

You guys can say whatever you want about me. I think most of the responses are funny. I'm sorry if I offend anyone who feels like my vote for McCain would be a vote against the LGBT community. I believe in equality for all. I understand the importance of liberal leadership, but I'm not taking any chances with BO.

@ Lady of Rage.. I agree totally, and if most Hillary supporters shared your view these posting would not be so negative and sometimes vile ( i admit I get angry sometimes) but stupidity and ignorance is hard to ignore, and the reality is when people say the are going to support Msccain that affects me directly, as a minority, as citizen, and as a gay man. so its hard to play nice.. hopefully as this process progress more of her supporters will become enlightened with what's really at stake here..

@ thejuanstar..you always have the appropriate response to foolishness.

no one is attacking anyone that has stated their opinion. "attacks" come when a bunch of silly made-up garbage is spewed, like that erection video. PUH-LEASE! does anyone here understand the fundamentals of debate? if you state our opinion, good for you...but even in stating such in an OPEN forum, a parallel or an opposing side can and usually will ask for clarification or more details as to how you arrived at your position...a test of wills, if you may. its the silliness that will never go ignored....especially when something so important is on the table. i mean, how silly did crystal's first argument sound? that'd be like me saying i wouldn't vote for hilldog because she flashed her granny panties at a rally. what the fug? get serious people...or stand behind your statements, but know you'll get called on it...and deflection doesn't work.

Enough already people! Some of you do a huge injustice to what both of these candidates represent and have fought for in this campaign. Negative things were said by both camps, so neither side is clean in that regard but guess what? That is what campaign battles are, they are never neat and someone has to lose. As a Hillary supporter (and proud one I might add), I am just as honored to now throw my support behind Obama because he deserved to win. He ran a better campaign than Hillary, and had more of a grass-roots effort than her campaign did. Those are just the facts. If Hillary had campaigned like she did in Pennsylvania at the very start of the campaign season, she may have won more contests but she didn't so there it is.

It is time to put this drama behind us and unite against John Mccain. The media is writing off the republicans but Mccain is going to be a formidable opponent for the Presidency and Obama is going to need all of us to stop the bickering and come together.

And a message to all of my fellow Hillary supporters that are talking about defecting to vote for Mccain, Please just go already! The Mccain straight talk express pulled out the station some months ago, if you hurry you can still get your ticket. If you are a supporter of Hillary CLinton, how you could vote for Mccain...who is the total opposite on the issues is foolish and very short sighted. And I would say to all of you that are supporting Obama, don't feed into there madness. Obama is a great example of staying above the foolishness so lets all try and follow that example.

I am a huge fan of this site, and I love me some Love B Scott..and it sickens me that some of you would support a party that would deny LBS the same rights as you and me or a party that treats all minorities as second class citizens. Do you honestly think that the Republicans are embracing of women's issues? Mccain hasn't even fully addressed the issue of calling his own wife a cu*t! Come on people, this is our moment.

LMAO! I think it's really funny that some of you would turn to personal attacks. Is that really how you plan to get your candidate elected? I don't need to spread lies about the man to justify my reasons for not liking him. If i wanted to spread lies I could take my pick from a list of ridiculous things written about BO. I choose not to believe everything that I've read or heard.

Anyways, everyone will have their own idea of which candidate will make the better president. How they come to that conclusion is entirely up to them. I wouldn't dare claim that someone's method or reasoning for choosing one candidate over the is idiotic or stupid. It doesn't matter if I disagree, they're making a decision for themselves. It all boils down to that person doing what they feel is right. I simply don't think it's a good idea to elect BO with a democratic congress behind him.

Learn to respect others' thoughts and
opinions, even if you don't agree.

to NurseFab and others who are catching it right now...don't think people are just jumping on you because you have an opinion...they are more than likely jumping on you because their experience with Clinton supporters and McCain supporters has been low down and racist. Understand that most of the Clinton Supporters and most of the McCain supporters online are racist. The post that they leave are nasty nd all they talk about is that black communist Hitler type this that inadequate nigg__ muslim terrorist that and so when you then align yourself with these people those that have seen and read and heard all this immediately connect you with the hate because their experience has been nothing but negative. I hope you understand and realize what group of people you are truly aligning yourself with and then understand clearly where the hateful responses are coming from. Just my opinion based on my experience as a grassroots organizer and campaigner for Barack Obama...i've been hung up on and screamed at and doors slammed by both white and black people because of my choice...i don't care...I do believe it's Barack's time and you are watching someone on destiny's track for his life and ultimately the universe. He's already changed the world view and expectations of millions who want a more civil atmosphere to realize their goals, not just at home but around the world....that's how much of an impact a Barack presidency will have.

If you come to the table with a valid argument on why to vote for McCain over Obama, I have total respect. I do find it hard to sit idly by when someone is feeding into lies and using flawed logic. When someone is slamming a candidate because they were "modeling their erection" while supporting someone that committed perjury and stole files after her lawyers suicide to impede an investigation, I'm going to call it out stupidity. I do respect people opinions. But if you are going to display your opinion, expect to be called upon. We are at a crucial time in the world and we live in an amazing country. I pray that people that supported Clinton in the primary season will support the candidate that ideologically agrees with her on 97% of the issues.

Granted my terminology was harsh in reference to Crystal and it is your and her right to cast your vote any way you so choose. Just remember what the past 7 years have brought upon this country. We have no respect on the international stage. Our dollar is bordering on useless on the world market. We are approaching on $5 gas. Our veterans are receiving poor medical coverage and McCain will not even support a bill to give them needed benefits.

Ok, enough is enough. Why are the people on this post calling others stupid or ignorant or "in need of a reality check" simply because they either don't want to support Obama or have issues with some of his views? We live in a country where people can voice their opinions about politics, race, religion, etc. I can respect a person's opinion whether they are black or white, Democrat or Republican, whatever. None of the candidates are perfect, including Barack Obama. If a person doesn't want to jump on a party's (or a candidate's) bandwagon just yet, more power to them. Lots of people wait it out, do some research, listen to the debates, meetings, etc. first. That way, they can make an informed decision at election time. I think that we should respect each other's decisions and just agree to disagree. This type of bickering is ridiculous and unnecessaty. There are several people who don't vote, never have, never will. They don't even care one way or the other. In my opinion, THAT is what is ignorant and stupid. These are the very people that complain about everything. To all the posters who have felt like they are being sort of jumped on because of voicing their opinions on this post: I hear you, and I respect what you have to say. I am glad that you care enough to follow what is going on, make and vote. To the other posters who feel the need to ridicule others just because they don't agree with you. Get over it. Learn to respect others' thoughts and opinions, even if you don't agree.

Crystal all i have to say to you is why are you looking at the mans crotch? . If what you previously stated is "true" why hasn't it been a huge deal in the public? Im sure fox news will be all over it.
You have the right to vote for whoever you please, but you do not act like a sore loser after defeat ( clinton and the majority of her supporters) discrediting obama and his camp. Way to show showmanship. I dont even want her to get the vp nomination(which she wont) because that is just foul. If Hilary supporters jump the mcain bandwagon because hilary did not get the nod is disheartening and setting this nation back. They are better off not voting, then putting our nation back to despair.
B.scott if i am not mistaken. you were going for hilary, now that you hilary has lost who is your pick? This not a popularity contest. This is our life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in the hands of politician. I dont know about you crystal but i dont want another bush or a bush affiliation in office. Change is a community effort not an individual. I pray hilary supporters get their shit together, and have strong argument why mccain should win, not just because hilary lost. Mcain's plans for change isnt even remotely close to hilary's that is what is mind blobbing to me. The ignorance, and little thoughts clintons people have displayed.
I witnessed history on june 3, 2008. MLK said in his i have a dream speech " the negro people received a check that reads insufficient funds, that our great nation failed to live up to its primissory". Obama is our ticket to cashing that check. Lets unify, and unite not as a red or blue state-- but the unitedstates of america. I pray we vote based on principals, not race or creed. Why continue a war in a country that doesnt have the weapon of mass, or ban gay marriages. Regardless of the bibles ideals on homosexual; it is only god that judges. Taking away a women's right to abortion mccain? Who are to make a life altering decision? If that happens alot of teenage death will occur. I am not promoting abortion, but their are circumstances especially in society today. Vote for change! The devil only wins when you dont fight! For the past 8 yrs a tyrant has taken over. Its time to fight, and the epic battle of david and goliath resurfaced.

And, also, Crystal - all of these things you mention in your post are PATENTLY FALSE, and are probably more misperceptions conjured up in your curious little mind.

1. "His campaign made ridiculous claims of racism against Bill Clinton."
- UNTRUE. Neither Sen. Obama nor anyone in his campaign has ever made claims of racism against Sen. Clinton. In fact, Sen. Obama has gone out of his way to deny any such claims. You are thinking of mess that the news media has stirred up. I can understand how you would get confused, though.

2."Obama lied about NAFTA."
- UNTRUE. Obama has been and remains adamant about his position on NAFTA. As a matter of fact, you can check the record yourself - his position is recorded on either videotape or in writing on several different occasions over a span of years. Perhaps you have him confused with Sen. Clinton who supported it openly, then claims that she didn't, then said she supported it to a certain extent, then said it was good for the country, then said it wasn't... Once again, I can understand how you might get confused.

3."Obama called people in small towns bigots."
-UNTRUE. That was news media spin. Anyone with the slightest common sense, which is arguably in question for you, and who hasn't buried her head in the sand would have heard Sen. Obama's comments to mean that he understands how people have become disillusioned with politics after hearing a string of unfulfilled promises year after year that does nothing for them in their everyday lives. But, once, again, I can understand how you might be confused and not have been able to pick up on that.

4. "Obama has shifted the blame to other people
when he was in the hot seat."
- UNTRUE. I honestly believe that you are just making these things up as you go along. Are you trying to play a Jedi mind trick?

"Those are all the things I said about Obama outside of my own personal opinion. None of those things are false." {Actually, all of those things are false.  - ebony}

- UNTRUE. I honestly believe that you are just making these things up as you go along. Are you trying to play a Jedi mind trick?

“Those are all the things I said about Obama outside of my own personal opinion. None of those things are false.” {Actually, all of those things are false.  – ebony}

Crystal, with all due respect, you lack perception and what most people refer to as common sense. There is no way that anyone under any circumstances could conjure up that Senator Obama was "modeling his erection." The man is on an airplane and talking on the phone - it looks to me like he was trying to get comfortable in a tight space.

It is really a sick sad shame the lengths people will go to in an effort to deny that Sen. Obama out-strategized, out-organized, and out-debated Sen. Clinton. The man's campaign was, to put it simply enough for you to understand Crystal, "brilliant." He went from a skinny guy with a funny name to the most inspirational, prolific, and organized leader the USA has EVER seen. And, then, for you, Crystal, to have the unmitigated gall to say that you don't like him because of what you misconstrue to be some show of the hyper sexual Black male stereotype is not only a slap in the face of his political genius, it is also a big red stamp on your forehead that reads "IDIOT." I don't know whether you are an idiot, and I'm not saying that you are an idiot; BUT, I am saying that what you wrote is very idiotic.

Excuse me, but where did I say anything false? You might not agree with my opinion of Obama, but that doesn't make me a liar. Obama did model his erection for the press

Watch the video again. There is no excusing what's going on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F45rXyuTZjo

His campaign made ridiculous claims of racism against Bill Clinton. Obama lied about NAFTA. Obama called people in small towns bigots. Obama has shifted the blame to other people when he was in the hot seat. Those are all the things I said about Obama outside of my own personal opinion. None of those things are false.

Lmao! Are you guys reading what you post? One would think the man is Jesus. I never said I hated the man and I don't believe I said anything about him that was disrespectful. I'm not any less of democrat because I don't like the nominee. I don't dislike him because I'm a Hillary supporter. I'm not angry that she didn't win enough delegates. She could be on the ballot and I still wouldn't vote for him. I don't think BO would be a good president. I looked into his background, I listened to him speak, I watched the debates, I watched the news coverage, I read many of the blogs, and I've tried to have conversations with his supporters. After all of that, my opinion of him wasn't a good one. I can respect the fact that many people think he's great. I'm just not one of them, but somehow that's some kinda crime.

Just because my voter registration says that I'm a democrat that doesn't mean that obligated to give my vote to a democrat. Up until April I had all intentions of voting down party lines. I honestly believe that not voting for BO will benefit the party. It's not always about the policies of the candidate. I like many of BO's policies, but that doesn't mean I think he should be president. I thought Mike Gravel had some great ideas, but there is no way in hell I would have ever supported him.

I'm not buying what BO is selling. It's nothing wrong with that.

First I want to say congratulations to Barack Obama, what a long hard fought campaign and he has earned the right to represent the Democratic Party.

Now, after reading some of these posts I am just disappointed. Some people on here sound like such juveniles. I say if you don't want to vote for Obama, the Mccain train has already left..get your tickets and keep it moving. These folks that are stating that they wouldn't vote for Obama most likely wouldn't have voted for Obama anyway so let them go. And if they think that Mccain is going to work to advance the rights of Women, then someone needs to put a stop payment on their reality check! The supreme court is one justice away from overturning Roe v Wade! A Vote for Mccain is a vote for a continuation of this crazy war. And for what? Because your candidate didn't win. That is why it is called a campaign, there is a winner and there is a loser. Both sides weren't perfect, things were said about both Obama and Clinton so no one has clean hands in the gutter but Obama emerged the victor, get over it!

If Clinton supporters want to be mad at anyone, they should be angry with Harold Ickes. Reason: he is the one that helped design the democratic delegate, super-delegate disaster that cost hillary the nomination.

I too thought that since OBAMA has won that democrats would come together and work to win this election in Novemeber. I do not think that it is right that everyone keeps pointing out Hillary and Obamas flaws and trying to make one sound more worse than the other. Besides no matter who is running for president they will have flaws because no one on this earth is without them! I find it disturbing that people are playing the role of acting like children and upset because they did not get what they wanted."Since Hillary didnt win, i dont think I can vote for OBAMA". What type of thinking is this, if you are a true democrat you would want one in office,no matter what the outcome of this primary was. I am a an OBAMA supporter and if Hillary had one my vote would have went to her, plan and simple! Also I think that OBAMA is ready for power because everyone deserves what they have earned and he has earned it.

Crystal, are you serious that's just silly. I have seen the video and he was not model his erection. He was wearing some tight a$$ pants and let's not forget he is a black man, so my assumption is that he would be well endowed and maybe you could just see a little bulge but honestly I wasn't looking that hard to see his imprint. He was on the phone and he just lifted his leg up to lean on his leg, but he was in no way trying to show his crotch. You don't have to like Obama but please don't try to degrade him in that way.

Why is it so hard for you to at least give this man some respect, He is the first Black presidential nominee, when he started as the underdog. Hillary wasn't cheated out of her bid she lost and now its time to move on. You bringing up him modeling his crotch is just your way to justify your unwarranted hatred. This is not about personal attacks it's about better the economy.

Ok, I thought now that the primary was over and we have a nominee things would come together, but it seems like there are a lot of people looking into their CRYSTAL Balls for a Miracle.. LOL To quote Ms. Winfrey "You can not deny destiny". Put this in your pipe and smoke it Hilary supporters,I am hopeful that the public now sees the Cintons for who they are - underhanded, ethics free, immoral whores and liars. Bill and Hillary are too busy serving their own egos and the devil, they need to read the scripture that speaks to digging a hole for someone else and then falling in it. Hillary ran a lousy campaign - filled with typical hate messages - designed to separate people - instead of messages of hope and inclusion. Hillary made mean spirited remarks about her democratic opponent - while praising the republican nominee - something that is politically way out of bounds. Hillary let the foolish Blacks in the senate who supported her, fool her into thinking that those folks spoke for all Blacks (and it is my sincere hope that those folks loose their jobs in the next election). Hillary wanted us to believe that she could control the country when she can not control her husband. Bill Clinton has cheated on Hillary since before they married and continues to, despite his repeated denials and the sticking out of that finger as he waves it in a foolish attempt to hide his dishonesty. Bill Clinton purposely sabbotaged Hillary's campaign - race baited - and she couldn't control him. I say that Bill and Hillary belong to each other and they should ride off into the sunset and feast off of each other's dishonesty and lies - and let the rest of the world forget they ever existed... Double Kisses..
