    CHANGE.

  • CHANGE!!! OBAMA 08!!!

  • WOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOO!! i’m so glad….even tho i’m currently watching pantsuit’s speech and she just HAD to throw some haterade into it with the decisions comment. SUPER COGRATS TO OBAMA and lets work to get the white house back!! thats whats most important…now all of the shenanigans will be over (hopefully)

  • o to the b to the AMAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • OMG this is history in the making, get ready for CHANGE!

  • It’s about time!!!!!!! Obama ‘08!

  • Although I have supported & voted for Hilary, I am proud of Obama (& glad this round is over) but also happy about how this will sit in history.

  • HISTORY was made tonight and it’s a shame that Hillary could not find it in herself to acknowledge it AND congratulate Obama on clinching the nomination. Anyway…

    CONGRATULATIONS OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Obama ‘08!!
He made a wonderful speech tonight. That man is such a class act. He was so respectful of Hilary giving her credit for the accomplishments she has made while she was in the race. However, her speech was all about her. I have lost all respect for that woman.

  • I agree Riley! He was so gracious towards her in his speech tonight. Hillary could have made an effort to try and unify the Democratic party but she chose not to and that’s sad. I’m disappointed in her.

  • I guess now I will have to really research McCain and the running mate that he chooses. The “word on the street” is that he may select FedEx CEO Fred Smith and that is something worth looking into.

  • Congratulations to Obama :)

  • Ok, I know we have all had our disputes between Hilary and Barack, but thank god its Over.. What scares me is the ignorance of people like Mrs. Fab who will vote for McCain? Ok lets have more wars, lets keep on paying more for gas, lets disenfranchise gays, lets take a way a Female right to have an abortion.. and the list goes on.. Wake up, this kind of ignorance is how we got stuck with Bush..

  • @ Seven 2 she has shown her true colors.

@ Nick you are so right. Bush was re-elected because people were against gay marriage. Forget the real issues.

  • YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! My dad won the nomination!

  • Lawd, I am about to cry.

    THIS IS AWESOME.

    HISTORY.

    I LOVE IT.

  • HHMMM I hope that hillary supporters will not diss Obama and vote for McCAin! A true democrat wants a democrat in office and since OBAMA won fair and square he is the one!

  • I hope HIlary supporters vote for Obama cause Lord Knows we don’t wanna put another BUSH in office!!

  • See, this is just one example of Hillary’s character… one of many reasons I did not and would not vote for her.

  • Hmm very interesting comments from all. Obama has won but I wouldn’t say fair and square. The first black man for president that is a feat I will admit that. Unfortunately 18 million people voted for Hillary and have been disrespected constantly by Obaama supporters. So you will have a hard time getting them to vote for him unless Hillary is on the ticket. BUT WAIT all you Obaama supporters claim you would never vote for her so if she is on the ticket then what do you do?

You have called her names, seen her true colors right. What is she is his choice for VP? This is hypothetical because I truly doubt it will happen. He already painted her as a racist and that is furthest from the truth although he should be familiar with them because he has racist family members.

Hope you can win in November but for right now I will write in Hillary’s name in my hometown state of NY. She was my choice before and is still my choice. Unless Obama proves himself to be a worthy candidate over the next few months.

    Double kisses!!

  • Minamony,

I am sick to my stomach that people are saying that Obama supporters disrespected Hillary supporters throughout this process. The mirror has two faces. As someone that was spit upon by a deranged Hillary supporter, I would disagree. As someone that had several Hillary supporters call me everything from naive and stupid to the harshest racial slurs, I would disagree. As someone that was a volunteer neighborhood leader for Obama in Philadelphia, I will also have to disagree after some Hillary supporters vandalized our donated space in a high traffic shopping area. I’m not responding to claim who had the rudest supporters, there are loonies on every fringe. And while I would detest if she is on the ticket, I will vote regardless. If she were to have won, I would have to vote for her. My concern is about the path of this country. It needs to change. There is space for one person in the voting booth, I hope you don’t try to squeeze your friend Bitter in there as well on Nov. 4th.

  • Congrats Obama! He is a class act! Hillary is such a sore loser, I sure hope he doesn’t choose her for his VP. She is so selfish and only cares about herself.

  • @ Nick. First of all, to call some ignorant for voicing a thought is just that. So since I don’t know you, I will not repeat the word. In case you did not know, this is America. Where you are free to vote for the candidate of YOUR CHOICE! I simply stated that I will look at the running mates. Fred Smith, who I happen to know by the way, is a good man. That does not mean that I will vote for McCain, but it is, as I stated before, “worth looking into.” I am one who has NEVER voted in one particular party. I will continue to do proper research and vote for the candidate of MY choice. I apoligize to the fellow love muffins reading this, as B. Scott runs a friendly site, where name calling is so out of line.

  • I’m happy for Obama. EXTREMELY Happy for Obama. Someone earlier talked about the disrespect that Obama supporters have shown Hillary but let’s not forget the disrespect that Hillary supporters haves shown Obama supporters… It’s all been uncalled for.

People have the right to vote for who they want and tend to have their reasons for voting for the people they choose. I personally won’t vote for McCain because I can’t deal with another 4 years of the crap that Bush has given us but that’s just me. I like what Obama stands for and that’s why I’ve been one of his biggest supporters from day one.
Let’s remember here that everyone has the right to their own opinion, their own voice, and though we might not like what it is they have to say, we’ve gotta respect them…

  • Lets get one thing straight

    1. Obama has not “Claimed Victory”.. HE HAS WON.. IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD, He did not make up the rules. Through out this primary when every pundit and politchian was telling Hillary to drop out he always stated that she has every right to stay in the race. How he painted her as a racist as a previous poster stated is beyond comprehension.
    Hilary had
    16 year head start
    Ex president superstar husband
larger war chess, at least to start
over 100 delegate advantage right out of the gates, How some of you Hilary supporters can so easily dismiss the brilliance of this man is beyond me..

If Obama loses, as McCain has done in the past. But If he does loose, look at people that vote against their own best interest, people that have no idea of the body count in Iraq, people that are saying they will not vote for him because
he is black (while this is 50 true)
    he is elitist
    too smart
his supporters should have been nicer to me on B scott..
    It was hillary’s turn

If he does loose it will indeed be a mistake but not for lack of millions that know that Yes we Can is more than words; he will loose because of grudge holding, short sighted, wedge driven persons that areafraid to say YES! we can.

  • Nick,

Truer words have never been spoken. Although I have no doubt some of her supporters will vote for McCain out of spite. It’s like they have a greater “allegience” to their leader than themselves. So let’s forget about bringing the troops home, let’s forget about trying to get everyone healtcare, letting forget about moving this country out of the hellish Bush years. Nope, some will vote for McCain to “spite” Obama. It’s like cutting off your nose to spite your face. But the good news is that I saw on CNN and it seems like the majority of Hillary supporters will vote Obama. At least the mature ones. They realize that the greater good is not getting Hillary in office but getting those Republicans out.

Some of her supporters are as classy as she is. She had the chance to show some class congratulate him on his win (fair and square without the dirty games she played). But no, she’s trying to get th VP spot. So is she going to encourage her supporters not to vote for him? She’s absolutely manipulating them to get what SHE wants. She said as much in her speech last night. This woman is too much. Trying to force him to give her the VP, LOL she’s a true gangsta. Picking her would be the worst mistake he can make. He needs someone who’s not out for herself but has the best interest of the COUNTRY at heart. She only thinks of herself, a major reason she lost btw.

I understand where they’re coming from because I myself said that I would rather vote McCain than for her, but I know that I’m more concerned about ending the war and not paying $5 a gallon for gas so I think I would’ve eventually caved. But I can’t help but remain forever disgusted by her and her campaign. I’ve never seen a bigger sore loser in my life. Let’s just hope the next woman who runs will be smarter and just overall better than her.

  • Obama once again showed how gracious and how much of a better leader he will be, I am very disappointed in Hillary by taking this historical moment away from him.

Maybe 18 million voters have supported her but 18 million + have supported him. This has been a very passionate primary. But just when I think I can accept her on the ticket as his VP she does something like this.

    To Hillary Supporters:

I ask all of you to look at the character she displayed last night and tell me how in the world could you possibly think she showed unity and leadership skills last night? She showed me last night that it was all about her, and not about the country. If you can’t see that Obama is still the better nominee and you want to support Mc Caine take this it to consideration…..

*Mc Caine has voted AGAINST raising the minimum wage 8 times.

*Mc Caine wants to stay in the war for 100 yrs.

*Mc Caine is against Gay rights.

*Mc Caine wants to give more tax breaks to the wealthy.

*Mc Caine is AGAINST womans rights.

*Mc Caine voted AGAINST Martin Luther King day in his State.

So if that’s what you want for your country because you are bitter that your candidate didn’t win the nomination, I feel sorry for you, because you have so much hatred in your heart that you are willing to risk the lives of your family, children, and friends. All because Hillary didn’t run an effective campaign that she was favored to win, the only person you all should blame is HER.

  • I think it’s rather insulting to call someone ignorant because they’re actually researching the candidates and making an educated decision about who will get their vote.

McCain isn’t my ideal president, but my dislike for Obama has grown to an all time high. Did everyone see the video of Obama modeling his erection for the press? Some people may think of it as cute or funny, but I think it’s really disrespectful. He’s feeding into a stereotype. It’s even more disrespectful to his wife. I doubt the video is fake. More importantly, it only supports John McCain’s criticism of BO’s judgment.

Seriously, why would I want to make this man the most powerful man in the world when he doesn’t realize it’s inappropriate for a presidential candidate to model his erection for a group of reporters? This happened after the “bitter” controversy unfolded. You would think he would have learned from that incident.

I’m sorry if it offends the Obama supporters, but I’m just not comfortable putting BO in office, especially with the possibility of having a democratic senate. He has the DNC wrapped around his little finger. That would be too much power. It’s not a good idea. I think it could be a huge disaster for the party as a whole.

At this point it doesn’t matter to me if Hillary is on the ticket. I hope she doesn’t join the ticket, but my opinion toward Obama wouldn’t change. I’m not bitter because Hillary didn’t win enough delegates. My opinion of BO has nothing to do with Hillary. I don’t like Barack. I don’t think he would be a good president.

  • @ Nick…thanx! (”his supporters should have been nicer to me on b. scott”) HA HA HA!!! to label his supporters anything while excluding clinton and hers is insane. (being salty about one’s supporters is silly. what do supporters have to do with the candidate? the candidates have no control over what WE do so stop trying to place blame everywhere to escape being mature and just stop the hating.) denial is a disease tho. and the nerve of her…stating she’d be interested in the veep spot, but couldn’t even congratulate and acknowledge his WIN!!?! girl please, eat some cheese…

some of ya’ll kill me trying to go off on someone eloquently…i am so LOL right now. ya sound just as silly as PANTSUIT!! and to keep touting your rights and previous choices all sound ridiculous when at this juncture in the road, the other choice is another bush. if you were a hillary supporter (and please note that obama and clinton ran an extremely parallel campaign on most issues), how can you even be saying you’re writing in her name or voting for anyone besides obama? obviously, you’re not down for unity and whats best for the country if you pout and turn coats just cuz your choice LOST!!!! so whatevs…

wah, wah, wah…someone called hillary a poopoo head so i wont vote for obama. guess what peeps, EVERYONE took notice last night of how childish and divisive she STILL is…so you can’t argue anymore on her behalf. its OVEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR! and even if obama did happen to lose in november, at least he ran a noble campaign as the underdog and inspired people to even take note of whats going on in politics. but good luck when mccain is telling you that you can’t marry who you love, can’t decide what happens with your body and you can’t afford to drive anymore cuz gas is even more outrageous. you keep carrying that torch for hillary when life starts getting even more real for you…

  • @ crystal….all this disdain over an alleged erection video? (never seen it so i dont know what youre talking about) but if such a thing does exist….hmmmmmmmmm, question for you? you didn’t really state a reason for not liking obama besides the power he would gain. um, whoever wins would gain the same type of power so stop trying to make him out to be some totalitarian dictator.

also, hills has left a trail of unpaid bills during her campaign (stealing services without paying), she incites ugliness and poor judgment by referencing assassinations, she blatantly & repeatedly lied about being under sniper fire, the clintons *allegedly* solicited funds and tied to cover them up(the paul case), her campaign and husband have race baited for the longest trying to incite racial and religous fear among americans while disrespecting his contributions and those of other prominent african-amerians AND her hubbys a cheating philanderer and thats disrespectful as well.

someone already listed some highlights about mccain, so lets see…when you weigh what you’re so bothered about (some alleged video) versus these points….what are you saying?

  • My dislike for Obama began long before the erection video. It’s only adds to the number of rather childish things Obama has done since he began his campaign.

No one ever claimed that Hillary is perfect. Only a fool would think so about anybody, but Hillary will take responsibility for her actions. Obama quick to shift the blame or justify his bad decisions. As long as it sounds good coming out of his mouth, people have a tendency to look over it. I don’t know if I’m bothered more by his bad judgment or his boldness while making bad decisions.

Let’s not pretend that BO has never told a lie or played the race card when it was uncalled for. I think it’s absolutely hilarious that when people bring up Hillary’s lies, they mention the sniper lie, but everyone has forgotten that BO lied about NAFTA. His camp called Bill Clinton a racist because Bill said BO was living in a fairytale. Where is that racist? It’s shameful that people are so willing to believe anything that comes from him as the God honest truth.

BO called people in small town America bigots. No one seemed to notice. Of course there are some bigots out there, but to make such a harsh blanket statement about a group isn’t right. We all know what type of people live in small town across this country. It’s amazing how we forget that racism goes both ways.

In regards to him gaining power, I don’t think that he can handle the power. I think BO would be more likely to something very foolish than McCain. I don’t agree with McCain, but I’m confident that he would be less likely to make bonehead decisions than BO. Besides, a republican president can’t make too many bonehead decisions with a democratic congress. Unless there is another attack to scare people. Even if that did happen, I think congress would proceed with more caution.

Anyways, I’m not trying to sway anyone. I just don’t think Obama is presidential material. I’m opinion is based on everything I know about the candidates so far. I’m not impressed with either McCain or Obama, but at this point McCain is more likely to get my vote. It’s not as if my vote would count even if I did vote for Obama. I live in a red state.

  • THANKS LB!!!! IT’S WORTH REPEATING!!!!

*McCain has voted AGAINST raising the minimum wage 8 times.

*McCain wants to stay in the war for 100 yrs.

    *McCain is against Gay rights.

*McCain wants to give more tax breaks to the wealthy.

    *McCain is AGAINST womans rights.

*McCain voted AGAINST Martin Luther King day in his State.

  • Crystal when November comes, you need to ask yourself… ‘What would Hillary want me to do?’ God Bless you and this country!

  • Southern Queen Dee

    June 4, 2008 at 1:23 pm

    @ Crystal…
I saw that video and he did not have an erection in that video! And he was NOT modeling for them. He was on the phone and not even paying attention to what they were saying. That man loves his wife more than anything–you can see it in the way he looks at and talks about her–and would never disrespect her. If you’re not a fan of his fine, but don’t make up lies. It’s not becoming of anyone.

As for this post…YES WE CAN! The better candidate won and even other countries are taking notice of that. History was made last night, but we can further history by unifying behind a DEMOCRAT no matter who they are. I don’t care for Hilary, but had she gotten the nomination, I would’ve voted for her because ANY Democrat is better than George W. Bush Jr. And, historically speaking, no Republican has won the general election when our economy was in trouble. And if McCain does win, it’ll be because of the HRC supporters who refuse to vote for a Democrat because the “wrong one” won the Democratic nom. Democrats, please let’s come together and put another Democrat in the White House no matter who they are. We’ve had 8 years of Republicans and look at where it got us. In an endless war that’s killed 4,000+ innocent soldiers, in a recession, with gas prices through the roof, etc. etc. etc. We as the American people don’t need that shit again, so please let’s get it together.

  • Lol at Crystal, you just sound so lost and confused about the whole thing. I see you was trying so hard to explain why you don’t like Obama but it all came out as JIBBERISH! MrsFab vote for McCain if you want to and Fred, and whoever else you wanna vote for. It is your choice like you said but be nice about it. This is a nice site. LMAO!

  • Why in hell would he model his erection? That is so stupid.

  • Ok, I thought now that the primary was over and we have a nominee things would come together, but it seems like there are a lot of people looking into their CRYSTAL Balls for a Miracle.. LOL To quote Ms. Winfrey “You can not deny destiny”. Put this in your pipe and smoke it Hilary supporters,I am hopeful that the public now sees the Cintons for who they are – underhanded, ethics free, immoral whores and liars. Bill and Hillary are too busy serving their own egos and the devil, they need to read the scripture that speaks to digging a hole for someone else and then falling in it. Hillary ran a lousy campaign – filled with typical hate messages – designed to separate people – instead of messages of hope and inclusion. Hillary made mean spirited remarks about her democratic opponent – while praising the republican nominee – something that is politically way out of bounds. Hillary let the foolish Blacks in the senate who supported her, fool her into thinking that those folks spoke for all Blacks (and it is my sincere hope that those folks loose their jobs in the next election). Hillary wanted us to believe that she could control the country when she can not control her husband. Bill Clinton has cheated on Hillary since before they married and continues to, despite his repeated denials and the sticking out of that finger as he waves it in a foolish attempt to hide his dishonesty. Bill Clinton purposely sabbotaged Hillary’s campaign – race baited – and she couldn’t control him. I say that Bill and Hillary belong to each other and they should ride off into the sunset and feast off of each other’s dishonesty and lies – and let the rest of the world forget they ever existed… Double Kisses..

  • Crystal, are you serious that’s just silly. I have seen the video and he was not model his erection. He was wearing some tight a$$ pants and let’s not forget he is a black man, so my assumption is that he would be well endowed and maybe you could just see a little bulge but honestly I wasn’t looking that hard to see his imprint. He was on the phone and he just lifted his leg up to lean on his leg, but he was in no way trying to show his crotch. You don’t have to like Obama but please don’t try to degrade him in that way.

Why is it so hard for you to at least give this man some respect, He is the first Black presidential nominee, when he started as the underdog. Hillary wasn’t cheated out of her bid she lost and now its time to move on. You bringing up him modeling his crotch is just your way to justify your unwarranted hatred. This is not about personal attacks it’s about better the economy.

  • I too thought that since OBAMA has won that democrats would come together and work to win this election in Novemeber. I do not think that it is right that everyone keeps pointing out Hillary and Obamas flaws and trying to make one sound more worse than the other. Besides no matter who is running for president they will have flaws because no one on this earth is without them! I find it disturbing that people are playing the role of acting like children and upset because they did not get what they wanted.”Since Hillary didnt win, i dont think I can vote for OBAMA”. What type of thinking is this, if you are a true democrat you would want one in office,no matter what the outcome of this primary was. I am a an OBAMA supporter and if Hillary had one my vote would have went to her, plan and simple! Also I think that OBAMA is ready for power because everyone deserves what they have earned and he has earned it.

First I want to say congratulations to Barack Obama, what a long hard fought campaign and he has earned the right to represent the Democratic Party.

Now, after reading some of these posts I am just disappointed. Some people on here sound like such juveniles. I say if you don’t want to vote for Obama, the Mccain train has already left..get your tickets and keep it moving. These folks that are stating that they wouldn’t vote for Obama most likely wouldn’t have voted for Obama anyway so let them go. And if they think that Mccain is going to work to advance the rights of Women, then someone needs to put a stop payment on their reality check! The supreme court is one justice away from overturning Roe v Wade! A Vote for Mccain is a vote for a continuation of this crazy war. And for what? Because your candidate didn’t win. That is why it is called a campaign, there is a winner and there is a loser. Both sides weren’t perfect, things were said about both Obama and Clinton so no one has clean hands in the gutter but Obama emerged the victor, get over it!

If Clinton supporters want to be mad at anyone, they should be angry with Harold Ickes. Reason: he is the one that helped design the democratic delegate, super-delegate disaster that cost hillary the nomination.

  • Lmao! Are you guys reading what you post? One would think the man is Jesus. I never said I hated the man and I don’t believe I said anything about him that was disrespectful. I’m not any less of democrat because I don’t like the nominee. I don’t dislike him because I’m a Hillary supporter. I’m not angry that she didn’t win enough delegates. She could be on the ballot and I still wouldn’t vote for him. I don’t think BO would be a good president. I looked into his background, I listened to him speak, I watched the debates, I watched the news coverage, I read many of the blogs, and I’ve tried to have conversations with his supporters. After all of that, my opinion of him wasn’t a good one. I can respect the fact that many people think he’s great. I’m just not one of them, but somehow that’s some kinda crime.

Just because my voter registration says that I’m a democrat that doesn’t mean that obligated to give my vote to a democrat. Up until April I had all intentions of voting down party lines. I honestly believe that not voting for BO will benefit the party. It’s not always about the policies of the candidate. I like many of BO’s policies, but that doesn’t mean I think he should be president. I thought Mike Gravel had some great ideas, but there is no way in hell I would have ever supported him.

I’m not buying what BO is selling. It’s nothing wrong with that.

  • Crystal you miss the point once again. yes you have a right to not vote for Obama no one is disputing that, he will win without your vote, that’s clear, what upsets most Obama supporter are these so called facts that you spew, which are so far fetch and simple false.. either way baby girl stay home dont vote, just sit back and watch the revolution..

  • Excuse me, but where did I say anything false? You might not agree with my opinion of Obama, but that doesn’t make me a liar. Obama did model his erection for the press

Watch the video again. There is no excusing what’s going on.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F45rXyuTZjo

His campaign made ridiculous claims of racism against Bill Clinton. Obama lied about NAFTA. Obama called people in small towns bigots. Obama has shifted the blame to other people when he was in the hot seat. Those are all the things I said about Obama outside of my own personal opinion. None of those things are false.

  • Crystal, with all due respect, you lack perception and what most people refer to as common sense. There is no way that anyone under any circumstances could conjure up that Senator Obama was “modeling his erection.” The man is on an airplane and talking on the phone – it looks to me like he was trying to get comfortable in a tight space.

It is really a sick sad shame the lengths people will go to in an effort to deny that Sen. Obama out-strategized, out-organized, and out-debated Sen. Clinton. The man’s campaign was, to put it simply enough for you to understand Crystal, “brilliant.” He went from a skinny guy with a funny name to the most inspirational, prolific, and organized leader the USA has EVER seen. And, then, for you, Crystal, to have the unmitigated gall to say that you don’t like him because of what you misconstrue to be some show of the hyper sexual Black male stereotype is not only a slap in the face of his political genius, it is also a big red stamp on your forehead that reads “IDIOT.” I don’t know whether you are an idiot, and I’m not saying that you are an idiot; BUT, I am saying that what you wrote is very idiotic.

  • While you’re doing your research on McCain…please note that he voted and campaigned against the Martin Luther King Holiday and does’nt give a rats ase about black people…trust and believe in his presidency black people and people of color, gays, hispanics etc. will be absent from his America…just look at the people he surrounds himself with and you’ll see….frickin dinosaurs and fossils.

  • And, also, Crystal – all of these things you mention in your post are PATENTLY FALSE, and are probably more misperceptions conjured up in your curious little mind.

    1. “His campaign made ridiculous claims of racism against Bill Clinton.”
    - UNTRUE. Neither Sen. Obama nor anyone in his campaign has ever made claims of racism against Sen. Clinton. In fact, Sen. Obama has gone out of his way to deny any such claims. You are thinking of mess that the news media has stirred up. I can understand how you would get confused, though.

    2.”Obama lied about NAFTA.”
    - UNTRUE. Obama has been and remains adamant about his position on NAFTA. As a matter of fact, you can check the record yourself – his position is recorded on either videotape or in writing on several different occasions over a span of years. Perhaps you have him confused with Sen. Clinton who supported it openly, then claims that she didn’t, then said she supported it to a certain extent, then said it was good for the country, then said it wasn’t… Once again, I can understand how you might get confused.

3.”Obama called people in small towns bigots.”
-UNTRUE. That was news media spin. Anyone with the slightest common sense, which is arguably in question for you, and who hasn’t buried her head in the sand would have heard Sen. Obama’s comments to mean that he understands how people have become disillusioned with politics after hearing a string of unfulfilled promises year after year that does nothing for them in their everyday lives. But, once, again, I can understand how you might be confused and not have been able to pick up on that.

    4. “Obama has shifted the blame to other people
when he was in the hot seat.”
    - UNTRUE. I honestly believe that you are just making these things up as you go along. Are you trying to play a Jedi mind trick?

    “Those are all the things I said about Obama outside of my own personal opinion. None of those things are false.” {Actually, all of those things are false. – ebony}

  • Crystal all i have to say to you is well. If you what you previously stated is “true” why hasn’t it been a huge deal in the public? Im sure fox news will be all over it.
You have the right to vote for whoever you please, but you do not act like a sore loser after defeat ( clinton and the majority of her supporters) discrediting obama and his camp. Way to show showmanship. I dont even want her to get the vp nomination(which she wont) because that is just foul. If Hilary supporters jump the mcain bandwagon because hilary did not get the nod is disheartening and setting this natiob back. They are better off not voting, then putting our nation back to despair.
B.scott if i am not mistaken. you were going for hilary, now that you hilary has lost who is your pick? This not a popularity contest. This is our life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in the hands of politician. I dont about you crystal but i dont want another bush or a bush affiliation in office. Change is a community effort not an individual. I pray hilary supporters get their shit together, and have strong argument why mccain should win, not just because hilary lost. Mcain’s plans for change isnt even remotely close to hilary’s that is what is mind blobbing to me. The ignorance, and little thoughts clintons people have displayed.
I witnessed history on june 3, 2008. MLK said in his i have a dream speech ” the negro people received a check that reads insufficient funds, that our great nation failed to live up to its primissory”. Obama is our ticket to cashing that check. Lets unify, and unite not as a red or blue state– but the unitedstates of america. I pray we vote based on principals, not race or creed. Why a continue a war ina country that doesnt have the weapon of mass, or ban gay marriages. Regardless of the bibles ideals on homosexual; it is only god that judges. Taking away a women’s right to abortion mccain? Who are to make a life altering decision? If that happens alot of teenage death will occur. I am not promoting abortion, but their are circumstances especially in society today. Vote for change! The devil only wins when you dont fight! For the past 8 yrs a tyrant has taken over. Its time to fight, and the epic battle of david and goliath resurfaced.

  • Crystal all i have to say to you is why are you looking at the mans crotch? . If what you previously stated is “true” why hasn’t it been a huge deal in the public? Im sure fox news will be all over it.
You have the right to vote for whoever you please, but you do not act like a sore loser after defeat ( clinton and the majority of her supporters) discrediting obama and his camp. Way to show showmanship. I dont even want her to get the vp nomination(which she wont) because that is just foul. If Hilary supporters jump the mcain bandwagon because hilary did not get the nod is disheartening and setting this nation back. They are better off not voting, then putting our nation back to despair.
B.scott if i am not mistaken. you were going for hilary, now that you hilary has lost who is your pick? This not a popularity contest. This is our life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in the hands of politician. I dont know about you crystal but i dont want another bush or a bush affiliation in office.

  • I am amazed at the stupidity that exists in the country. Please stay in your red state Crystal.

  • Ok, enough is enough. Why are the people on this post calling others stupid or ignorant or “in need of a reality check” simply because they either don’t want to support Obama or have issues with some of his views? We live in a country where people can voice their opinions about politics, race, religion, etc. I can respect a person’s opinion whether they are black or white, Democrat or Republican, whatever. None of the candidates are perfect, including Barack Obama. If a person doesn’t want to jump on a party’s (or a candidate’s) bandwagon just yet, more power to them. Lots of people wait it out, do some research, listen to the debates, meetings, etc. first. That way, they can make an informed decision at election time. I think that we should respect each other’s decisions and just agree to disagree. This type of bickering is ridiculous and unnecessaty. There are several people who don’t vote, never have, never will. They don’t even care one way or the other. In my opinion, THAT is what is ignorant and stupid. These are the very people that complain about everything. To all the posters who have felt like they are being sort of jumped on because of voicing their opinions on this post: I hear you, and I respect what you have to say. I am glad that you care enough to follow what is going on, make and vote. To the other posters who feel the need to ridicule others just because they don’t agree with you. Get over it. Learn to respect others’ thoughts and opinions, even if you don’t agree.

  • If you come to the table with a valid argument on why to vote for McCain over Obama, I have total respect. I do find it hard to sit idly by when someone is feeding into lies and using flawed logic. When someone is slamming a candidate because they were “modeling their erection” while supporting someone that committed perjury and stole files after her lawyers suicide to impede an investigation, I’m going to call it out stupidity. I do respect people opinions. But if you are going to display your opinion, expect to be called upon. We are at a crucial time in the world and we live in an amazing country. I pray that people that supported Clinton in the primary season will support the candidate that ideologically agrees with her on 97% of the issues.

Granted my terminology was harsh in reference to Crystal and it is your and her right to cast your vote any way you so choose. Just remember what the past 7 years have brought upon this country. We have no respect on the international stage. Our dollar is bordering on useless on the world market. We are approaching on $5 gas. Our veterans are receiving poor medical coverage and McCain will not even support a bill to give them needed benefits.

  • Learn to respect others’ thoughts and
opinions, even if you don’t agree.

to NurseFab and others who are catching it right now…don’t think people are just jumping on you because you have an opinion…they are more than likely jumping on you because their experience with Clinton supporters and McCain supporters has been low down and racist. Understand that most of the Clinton Supporters and most of the McCain supporters online are racist. The post that they leave are nasty nd all they talk about is that black communist Hitler type this that inadequate nigg__ muslim terrorist that and so when you then align yourself with these people those that have seen and read and heard all this immediately connect you with the hate because their experience has been nothing but negative. I hope you understand and realize what group of people you are truly aligning yourself with and then understand clearly where the hateful responses are coming from. Just my opinion based on my experience as a grassroots organizer and campaigner for Barack Obama…i’ve been hung up on and screamed at and doors slammed by both white and black people because of my choice…i don’t care…I do believe it’s Barack’s time and you are watching someone on destiny’s track for his life and ultimately the universe. He’s already changed the world view and expectations of millions who want a more civil atmosphere to realize their goals, not just at home but around the world….that’s how much of an impact a Barack presidency will have.

  • LMAO! I think it’s really funny that some of you would turn to personal attacks. Is that really how you plan to get your candidate elected? I don’t need to spread lies about the man to justify my reasons for not liking him. If i wanted to spread lies I could take my pick from a list of ridiculous things written about BO. I choose not to believe everything that I’ve read or heard.

Anyways, everyone will have their own idea of which candidate will make the better president. How they come to that conclusion is entirely up to them. I wouldn’t dare claim that someone’s method or reasoning for choosing one candidate over the is idiotic or stupid. It doesn’t matter if I disagree, they’re making a decision for themselves. It all boils down to that person doing what they feel is right. I simply don’t think it’s a good idea to elect BO with a democratic congress behind him.

  • Crystal,
You are such a groupie. I bet if the that video didnt read ” barack boner” You have never guessed it. Of all the imagery in that vid ( slightly dark) he’s penis was the only thing you saw? If i didn’t better, you want a peice of the barack-master. You dirty, dirty woman.Maybe you should focus on Mcain’s old ass, if he e ven gets any.

  • Enough already people! Some of you do a huge injustice to what both of these candidates represent and have fought for in this campaign. Negative things were said by both camps, so neither side is clean in that regard but guess what? That is what campaign battles are, they are never neat and someone has to lose. As a Hillary supporter (and proud one I might add), I am just as honored to now throw my support behind Obama because he deserved to win. He ran a better campaign than Hillary, and had more of a grass-roots effort than her campaign did. Those are just the facts. If Hillary had campaigned like she did in Pennsylvania at the very start of the campaign season, she may have won more contests but she didn’t so there it is.

It is time to put this drama behind us and unite against John Mccain. The media is writing off the republicans but Mccain is going to be a formidable opponent for the Presidency and Obama is going to need all of us to stop the bickering and come together.

And a message to all of my fellow Hillary supporters that are talking about defecting to vote for Mccain, Please just go already! The Mccain straight talk express pulled out the station some months ago, if you hurry you can still get your ticket. If you are a supporter of Hillary CLinton, how you could vote for Mccain…who is the total opposite on the issues is foolish and very short sighted. And I would say to all of you that are supporting Obama, don’t feed into there madness. Obama is a great example of staying above the foolishness so lets all try and follow that example.

I am a huge fan of this site, and I love me some Love B Scott..and it sickens me that some of you would support a party that would deny LBS the same rights as you and me or a party that treats all minorities as second class citizens. Do you honestly think that the Republicans are embracing of women’s issues? Mccain hasn’t even fully addressed the issue of calling his own wife a cu*t! Come on people, this is our moment.

  • Well, alright, Lady of Rage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kudos Lady of Rage!

  • @ thejuanstar..you always have the appropriate response to foolishness.

no one is attacking anyone that has stated their opinion. “attacks” come when a bunch of silly made-up garbage is spewed, like that erection video. PUH-LEASE! does anyone here understand the fundamentals of debate? if you state our opinion, good for you…but even in stating such in an OPEN forum, a parallel or an opposing side can and usually will ask for clarification or more details as to how you arrived at your position…a test of wills, if you may. its the silliness that will never go ignored….especially when something so important is on the table. i mean, how silly did crystal’s first argument sound? that’d be like me saying i wouldn’t vote for hilldog because she flashed her granny panties at a rally. what the fug? get serious people…or stand behind your statements, but know you’ll get called on it…and deflection doesn’t work.

  • @ Lady of Rage.. I agree totally, and if most Hillary supporters shared your view these posting would not be so negative and sometimes vile ( i admit I get angry sometimes) but stupidity and ignorance is hard to ignore, and the reality is when people say the are going to support Msccain that affects me directly, as a minority, as citizen, and as a gay man. so its hard to play nice.. hopefully as this process progress more of her supporters will become enlightened with what’s really at stake here..

  • Let me make myself clear and explain the importance of the erection video. Whether or not you choose to see what’s going on in the video, it doesn’t change what’s going on. This video offensive is because this man is representing all black people, including the ten percent that didn’t vote for him. I hold him to a higher standard than McCain or Clinton because of this. All black people should hold him to a higher standard. Anything that he does is projected onto all black people. It’s not exactly fair, but when you are the first black person to do anything you determine whether there will ever be another black person to achieve the same accomplishment. This means that you always have to be aware of implications of your actions. You always have to think twice about what you’re saying and how it can be interpreted. The erection video was not first time he’s displayed a lapse in judgment, but it is one of the more careless. It screams that he doesn’t understand or he just doesn’t care about his responsibility as a representative of all black people. I’m not expecting him to be perfect, but he has to do better.

If floors me that so many are so willing to make excuses or try justify his bad decisions. You’re not doing him or yourself any favors. You can say what you want about McCain, but his actions won’t have the same ramifications as Obama’s. McCain doesn’t singlehandedly have the ability to set race relations back a hundred years. The president can’t change anything without congress and vice versa. The GOP is losing seats all the place. There will be limitations to what McCain can do and it wouldn’t take a hundred years to repair any damage he might cause. Electing McCain may result in our government being stagnate for the next four years, but I’m willing to take that risk. Obama’s actions will affect black people for many years to come. I don’t trust BO. When those red flags start to show up the worst thing you can do is ignore or excuse them. I’ve seen enough. Just because something unflattering is said about Obama, that does not automatically mean that it’s false. I really believe that many people are wrapped up in the ideas of what Obama can do for them, but they aren’t really paying attention to what Obama can do to them.

You guys can say whatever you want about me. I think most of the responses are funny. I’m sorry if I offend anyone who feels like my vote for McCain would be a vote against the LGBT community. I believe in equality for all. I understand the importance of liberal leadership, but I’m not taking any chances with BO.

  • the people on here are giving hillary supporters a bad name. the mass amount of misinformation they are engaging in is astonishing. all of you should read more and not fall victim to propaganda. what you are saying is that america cant be progressive enough to move beyong the pithy filth you are spewing here on lovebscott.
i am a TRUE dem. the rest are just people who dont want a black man to be president… and if thats not it, why do your arguments agasint him sound so dumb, transparent, and uninformed.
please read more. ignorance will be the ruin of our society.

  • Crystal you are dumber than a bag of hair. Please go away.. you are giving me a headahce. I dont think you represent Clinton supporters. For the most part they have much more intellect. You are what my European friends would call a “Dumb American.. You represent those people that voted for Bush because he seemed like a guy that they would like to have a beer with. You just keep on digging your self deeper with every post. I hate myself for even responding but they are just so banal, and beyond stupid. Your fake issues are laughable, you should consider getting a job for Fox news, I heard there research department is hiring.

  • I wanted to say to some of you that I am glad to see so many people tuned into the campaign this year. I wish we had been this energized back in 2004 so we could have kicked Bush’s ass out of office then, and look at the mess this country is in now. And what does Mccain have to offer? If anyone reads his platform, he is offering more of the same Bush foolishness. As a Hillary supporter, it would be a disgrace and a total slap in Hillary’s face to vote for a candidate with totally opposite viewpoints on: Healthcare, Gay Rights, the war, the mortgage crisis, etc.

I am looking forward to joining the Obama supporters and getting to work on battling Mccain. I am energized to think what we can do once we all come together, the republicans are worried.

Now I am sure you are going to see some former supporters of Hillary talking about defecting to Mccain. As I have said before, let these folks go. If Obama and Hillary are similar on 98% of the issues, then what is the real reason these folks are not willing to vote for Obama? I will leave that up for others to figure out. I have my gut reason why, and folks are trying to find any reason (even dumb ones) to justify it. Take for example this video that one poster continues to speak of. That Video which I am sure all of us saw was not an illustration of the man’s penis for godsake. Obama at that point had never been dressed casual on the campaign trail. You always saw him dressed in a suit and tie, that was the point of the media making light of his casual appearance. How anyone could read more into it than what it really was is mind boggling. I hold all of these candidates to the same level, not just Obama. I expect the leader of this country to have integrity, and will fight for the people of the country and not just the well off parts of the population. This video that one person talks about doesn’t set race relations back at all, but I don’t know if celebrating a birthday on the day that new orleans was underwater and people dying really helps with race relations either.

I really hope that Hillary extends her support for Obama in the right way. I swear both camps could really give the republicans a hard time this election!

  • I don’t even want to get involved in the arguing going on concerning the Obama Clinton debate. My only issue is the Vice Presidency.

    Hopefully Barack will NOT

  • As I was saying…

Hopefully Barack will NOT choose Hillary as his running mate. She is basically waiting for the assassination of Barack to become the Democratic candidate, or to become president. That’s pretty much why she won’t concede. If Barack has any sense, he won’t choose Hillary for that reason. She makes those snide comments too often, and I would fear what she has up her sleeve.

  • botom line barrack needs hillary’s supporters.

  • I beg to differ…hillary. Barack needs Democrats not Hillary supporters.

    There is a difference.

  • that is fine that u dont agree. but obama needs hillary voters which are or the majority are democrats.

  • It doesnt matter if i agree or not..i repeat Obama and democrats need democrat supporters who support the party not people who support Hillary period and not the party…

We have a platform that we stand by and those that say they will vote for McCain are not Democrats…that’s the bottom line we will find others to replace and the majority of Hillary Supporters are good dems…it’s just a few NOT 18million faking like they are democrats…Any good democrat will know that we are standing for something not just some body.

Any democrat who is voting for McCain is just contrary…period….so bye you’re against what Democrats stand for….you were with us for Hillary only….don’t need you….Barack doesn’t need Hillary supporters who are breaking away…because he knows what he stands for, and those who support him know as well.

End the War ~ Bring our troops home
    Excellence in Education and Higher Education Opportunity;
    Universal Affordable Healthcare;
    Save our planet; conserve energy
push back the effects of Global Warming
by adapting to a green way of life.

We will not! be blackmailed by Hillary Clinton supporters…so Peace be with you as you go.

  • She’s right Democrats 18 million of them are Hillary supporters and BObama does need them. Name calling goes both ways, it’s the supporter not Hillary or Barack who is doing the name calling. It accomplices nada. Obama would be honored and happy to have those 18 million.

  • I’ve called no one a name…you’re wrong just like her James, Be clear, Barck only needs democrats who support the party and all 18 million do not think like you two…many have already turned the page and got on board..I’m just calling it plain as day.

I repeat a democrat voting for John McCain is not really a democrat…the end.

Hillary did not loose…she almost won.

  • We need each other. Had Hillary one, she would have needed the african-american vote and couldn’t have won without it. Mccain’s vision is not good for this country and hopefully democrats/independents will focus on that instead of the constant back and forth.

    Time to Unite!

  • I figure we are all adults here and so I refuse to accept this I’m going to take all my toys and leave if I don’t get my way game.

I can only imagine how the Hillary supporters feel…i would be totally bumbed if Barack were not nominated. I would be beyond bumbed…but of course for me as an African American I would naturally think…I guess we’re still not good enough to the majority of Americans, because to me Barack is equaly qualified regardless of his ethnicity.

At the end of the day this is now not a Barack thing or a Hillary thing, it’s a democrat thing. We want people in office who are going to support a democratic platform and if we do not unite we get the beautiful and talented John McCain…great.

    Time to Unite.

Let me start off by saying that it is horrible for Democrats to act this way. As a Hillary supporter, I have been through hell and back–from people telling me that my Black card has been revoked to them saying I need to just die. I love Mrs. Clinton and I appreciate her for all that she has done; however, if you’re going to dislike her do it because of YOUR own thoughts…not others’. Barack Obama receives my full attention. He is not the ideal person in my eyes, but neither is McCain (dare to dream) McCain has made it clear that he WILL NOT pull our troops out and was clearly against MLK Day…he even went as far as to debate against it. I am a democrat and Obama needs BOTH Hillary fans and “Democrats.” It would do him good on the other hand to have her on the ticket…they share so many of the same views..98% like someone said before me, why not work together?! She would have chosen Barack Obama because she would have wanted the African American and young people vote. Either way, I will miss her campaign and will be there for Barack in November. No pun intended for anyone…just my thoughts. Crystal, please re-evaluate yourself and the things you have said, Hillary fans are not that mediocre nor are they without knowledge. She lost, and now we must secure the Democratic seat in the White House.

  • i hate when people say hel be the first black president he will be the first mixed race president im mixed race half black and i hate being called black because i am proud to be mixed and obama will be too he is not black and i doubt he would want to be called black as it disrespects his white parent

matt, sweetheart, I have news for you. In American society, if you’re half black and half white, you’re considered to be black. Alicia Keys, Halle Berry, Barack Obama…the list goes on. I mean, if you saw him on the street and didn’t know anything about him or his parents, would you not say he were black?

  • Obama for the win =D I`m dissappointed in democratic / hilary supportors , that`s fine that you are upset; if obama lost I would be a mess BUT at least have support for the her/his party . Right now the US needs change , democratics are focused moreso on this then republicans . . .regardless of the candiate you need people willing to change the country not stay in the same destructive ways .

Pshhh Mcain ; another bush .

  • nope i would say that hes mixed race cuz the black features are dulled down by the white in him like his nose is not as wide his hair is looser his skin colour is lighter than the average full black individual i am mixed race dont tell me what i am B scott did a video on this where he says we mixed people dont have to choose we can remain known as mixed we dont have to say were black it doesnt matter about skin colour i am half black but have white skin like leona lewis so does that mean you would class me as black or white because people always know that im mixed race when they meet me but if you saw just one inch of my skin theyd assume i was white

  • Southern Queen Dee

I never said what you are because I didn’t even know you were mixed, so don’t put words in my mouth! I simply explained to you why people call him “black” and not “mixed raced” or “bi-racial”. And I’m not talking about mixed race people who are obviously that like Rashida Jones. I’m talking about mixed race people who have a “black-looking hue” to their skin lke the ones I named. And quite frankly, noses nor skin or eye color mean anything. I know plenty of people with 2 black parents with green eyes, high yellow skin and european noses. That’s massah mixing his blood in with the slaves, not necessarily parents of different races. He identifies himself as black, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t acknowledge his white mother or grandparents. His African father left when he was 3 and he was raised by his white grandparents and he ALWAYS talks about them in high regard. It’s self-identity and social standards and labels, nothing more, nothing less.

  • I agree with Southern Queen Dee because if you have any black in you, times out of 10 you are considered black.

  • yall have clearly lost your way on this thread.

  • Sorry to get all technical on everyone but Senator Obama won the majority of voters that will be voting in the General election! Let’s not forget that PR cannot vote in the GE and the math that the Clinton camp was using does not include the caucus states.

  • Thank You thejuanstar for bringing that point up.

  • @matt…if Obama was in the deep south in the 60’s and a lynch mob saw him, he’d be BLACK! And so would you!!

  • @ browngirll411 THANK YOU ! and may I ad if he was driving a nice car in any suburb or main highway in America he would most likely be pulled over because they would assume he was black.. Reality check for Matt, Obama considers and refers to himself as a BLACK MAN!
