June 1, 2008 Ashanti – The Declaration!

The Declaration

Love muffins the beautiful Ashanti will be releasing, what I believe is her 5th studio album (including her christmas album) this Tuesday, but I have managed to get my hands hands on a copy just days before the official release! Guest stars include Robin Thicke, Akon, and Nelly, just to name a few. I am really feeling this album, she sure did put her best foot forward! Do you think Ashanti has what it takes to have a long and fulfilling music career or are her efforts just short of stellar? Let me know, is The Declaration her best work thus far or her farewell?

  • The album is ok!

  • I don’t know about the whole album, but I love The Way that I love you, and this is coming from someone who normally doesn’t care for Ashanti’s music.

  • Ummmmmm…..NO!

  • This album is the business. I think she will have a good career and this album will definitely not be her farewell.

  • Things you make me do feat robin thicke is HOT and I still love the Way That I Love You

  • I like Body on Me ft. Akon and Nelly, and the song to her mother is beautiful! And of course The Way I Love You is the business! Ashanti surprised me. I have never really been a fan of hers but this album isn’t bad, I don’t know if its the greatest body of work ever, but it sure isn’t the worst!

  • I’m loving this cd. “Struggle” is my shit..the cd is one you can listen to from top to bottom.

    Welcome back Ashanti!!

  • the cover is nice i’ll give it a listen later

  • i pre-ordered it at amazon.. ilove this album.. she is back

  • Much better that what I expected from her, good job Ashanti, welcome back!!!!!! :+)………

  • I’ll give it a listen in the morning. I’m rootin’ for Ashanti. I actually like her.

  • Ok…listening to it now…I like it. She did the damn thing.

  • Hmm….I like the font they used :o )

I’ve never really been a fan of hers…I’ll check it out though, why not? lol

  • the album is less than stellar a vary mediocare effort , for it to be her fourth theres no growth vocally or musically and people try and slam mariah, she has had a consistantly excellent sounding album every time she comes out hell even beyonce has had good albums this monsterousity is redicules and ashanti needs to give it a rest already!!! screaming in tune is not singing!!! some of the songs sound like she yelling at the music rather than glideing effortlessly over the tracks that she was goven!!!

  • I love her album – almost every track is hot!

You’re actually the first one who said something good about it so far. I appreciate Ashanti and her efforts and LORD KNOWS “The Way That I Love You” is my jam, but I don’t see any musical longevity in her future. SORRY, SHANTI! I will, however, give her a chance and check the album out for myself.
