May 22, 2008 Boy Band Creator Sentenced To Prison!
Love muffins, it looks as if the livelihood of boy bands are in jeopardy as we know it. Boy band creator Lou Pearlman was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Wednesday.
[Lou Pearlman] was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in federal prison for engineering a decades-long scam that bilked thousands of investors out of their life savings. It was the maximum sentence the boy band mogul could receive for allegedly swindling some $300 million from investors and banks since the early 1980s.
Now that is some true monkey doodle foolishness, cheating all of those people out of their money. Associated Press also stated that some of his investors were elderly family members. Take me higher lord! How this man got away with it this long is beyond me. The judge is giving a him a chance to make things right by reducing his sentence one month for every $1 million he returns. It has not been said yet if or when that offer would be taken. Thoughts?

If it were me, I would be trying to find every penny of that 300 million and not go to prison…. but he is getting what he deserves. Don’t drop the soap!
