May 21, 2008 Shia Wants His Dad Out Of The Garage!

Shia LaBeouf’s dad Jeffrey spends the Summer in Montana, and the Winter in L.A. with his son. Well, Winter ended a few months back, and Shia feels his dad is overstaying his welcome. Shia says, “We’ve got this little air mattress set up for him. It’s very comfortable. But now it’s not winter anymore and he’s still there. But I can’t go there and go, ‘Hey dad. Listen it’s time to go back.’ I can’t make him leave.”
What? Is he serious? Comfortable little air mattress in the garage? Is there not any extra bonus space inside the home where his father can relax? And what does he mean he can’t tell his father to get to stepping, when he just told the whole world! Why can’t his father just stay if he’d like? Can Shia help his father obtain a small house or apartment as a permanent residence of his own? I have too many questions, so let me wrap up and say this. I don’t know all the details of Shia’s relationship or lack thereof with his father, but Shia sounds pretty rude and disrespectful! Thoughts?

  • i can’t blame him for the air mattress in the corner. his father is supposedly a new fixture in his life, of course shia’s fame did recently explode. i’m sure that is uncomfortable for everyone. personally, my father would be damn lucky to get that mattress. i hate a fair weather parent!!

  • this guy needs to realize that without his dad he wouldn’t be on this lovely earth and making millions.. he could have ended up being a waiter (nothing wrong with that)

i think this is crazy for someone with so much money have their father on a air mattress.. its degrading.. and ignorant.

( haven’t heard what the father did ) regardless it was his choice to have him there and have him spend the time.. if he isn’t man enough to say something to his dad…he shouldn’t have invited him to stay. period.

  • Wasn’t his dead like a robber or drug addict before and did jail time?

I mean I don’t blame Shia but if he’s close with his dad he should have just put his dad up in a hotel and told the people the hotel is paid up until such date and after he has to GO BUH BYE!!!

  • shit i have the same problem, im tryin to get my mama off my damn couch

  • Love D Hall is right, his dad was all of those things. If anybody was a project green light like I was. I guess that’s no one here lol. During the filming of the movie the battle of shaker heights there’s a scene where they were his character has some of the same daddy issues as Shia does personally. And Shia’s mom was crying and he was talking about how he couldn’t forgive his dad for what he did and all the things he put him and his mom through. So, I think it’s a big thing for him to even allow him to get that space. I respect that, that he was nice enough to give him that space. Who are we to say how forgiving he should be. He’s probably still hurt by some of the things that he was exposed to due to his father being in that situation. I think he most likely can’t tell him that just because it’s not how he raised, the core of most Jewish people is family. So, it’s easy for him to tell a stranger that than his family.

  • lol that’s funny
