Love muffins, it looks as if the departure of Jorja Fox and Gary Dourdan was a blow to CSI:Crime Scene Investigator, but the mourning was short lived. Lauren Lee Smith will be the newest one to join Gil Grissom and his team of crime fighting investigators.

27-year-old Smith will play Bryce Adams, described as a “smart, flirtatious and witty nonconformist” obsessed with the underbelly of society, who got into police work to rebel against her disapproving psychiatrist father.

Seems like it’s going to be an interesting season. Nothing makes better t.v. then a defiant woman out to prove a point and ready to take down anyone in the process. Do you think she will be a good addition to the cast?
