Ciara’s Idea Of A ‘Fantasy Ride’

Love muffins, I cannot wait until the release date of Ciara’s upcoming third album Fantasy Ride which is slated for release in September. Ciara is doing something a different with her new album, something that hasn’t been done before. Instead of putting her songs on one standard CD, she will split up her songs into three different themes on three separate CD’s bundled into one.

The first disc is called “Groove City” and will contain sensual songs like “Promise,” while the second disc is called “Crunktown” and includes tracks akin to Ciara’s 2004 introductory single, “Goodies.” Finally, the up-tempo “Kingdom of Dance” will showcase Ciara’s house-leaning, freestyle-tinged cuts.

I think it is a super duper hot idea, but then again tons of money will be wasted during the process of completing the packaging. Thoughts?

I think it’s a great idea, it’s just that extra umph ciara got that will give her the promotion for this album..just like this idea. I hope it’ll do good

Its not really a new idea, Janelle monae is do somthing similar with her album.

Ciara’s idea may work, but wont it cost the record label extra money to create one album on three discs instead of one?

All I want is the lyrics to the songs to be included….in ALL albums, I mean CDs.

Waste of time and money. The only reason why you do a triple album is because you have 40-45 songs to deliver to the fans.

It’s nothing new…an excellent band named Thrice did this in four very unique cd’s titled Wind, Water, Fire and Earth each with completely different sounds.

Its not a waste IDIOTS! She knows she has a very big fan base that will go buy her album. Thus sell bout a million copies(which in tern go 3x platinum). But for ppl who buys from itunes, they will have a choice whether they wanna hear R&B jams, Crunk songs, or Dance songs! Thus broadening her audience! Ciara rocks!

the cds are bundled together as one, meaning they all sell together so one sell equals one sell. I don’t think she needs to do this to sell albums though, she’ll sell regardless, but its more stuff for the fans to look at…so I’m all for it

I love the new song click flash from sex and the city movie(fabulous movie a must see!) and she could have done one cd like an artist by the name of tonex(pronounced toe-nay)on his album when you flipped it over it had 5-6 caterogies and each where different sounds and everything! it was hot!
it was like 3-5 songs in each caterogy, like jazz, funk,hip hop,gospel,and some other kinda tempo..but yeah everybody is right it has been done before!I would have waited if i were her for the 10th year annvers! to do something big to celebrate my years of being in the business like micheal jackson or r.kelly or even earth wind and fire did!everybody usually do it as a big bang! type of thing! but i can’t wait to hear it! ……if somebody don’t bootleg it first!

This is kinda how she did the evolution. She broke her cd up into 3 different sections. I think its a great idea for her 2 do as long as she has at least 10 songs on each cd.

I recently read that she’s trying to release her album the same day as beyonce. I’m a huge ciara fan but I think that’s a bad idea for her. If she’s going to do 3 cds into 1 and wants 2 sell a lot of copies, she better change her date. Because I know beyonce will out sell her.
