I liked Whitney and I will sit here and type that she couldn’t make it in the modeling world.

Look at Italian Vogue doing a all black model issue. So I think the modeling world is looking to revamp the industry and open more doors for more colors and sizes too enter. BUT…

on the other hand ANTM in their first time history (and I’ve watched all 10 seasons) had two beautiful tall and thin women who could actually book jobs and be on covers and walk major fashion show runways in their final three and they just let them go.

I believe Whitney deserved the top three but the final two and winner should have been Anya and Fatima.

So I think ANTM loses some of their credabilty.

I never rooted for her but towards the end
i was all about whitney
well only after Claire and Dominique left…
She did jiggle that final runway though
i think thats what gavce her the advantage…

She wont get jobs except Lane Bryant(the skinny past winners barely work !!). I dont like her at all. I would have been happy if Toccara was the first full figure model,that won.She’s not model material.I can see her in Penthouse mag like ANNA NIcole though. She has that look. Cancel that bullshitty show,im done with watching it after all these years anyway.

i didnt follow this season as faithfully as i did the past seasons (blame it on Big Brother!) but the episodes i did see never did whitney shine or bring it! i think anya or fatima should have won. im glad a plus size finally got this far but i don’t think she was the right one to have the crown…

well i dnt think she shud have won because the competition is America’s Next Top Model not America’s Next Top Plus-sixed or Full Figured Model. Top models are not normal sized. kudos to Whitney for her win but i don’t think she deserved it. Anya is a WAY better model. Whitney’s walk was DREADFUL to watch. she was all over the place on that runway. Tyra called that style or wateva but she was a hot mess. If she had walked like that at the beginning of the show her butt would have been cut in a heartbeat! we’ll just see how this cookie crumbles!

I predicted this midway. It was time for a plus sized model to win, just like it was time for a non-white/non-black model to win with Jaslene, or a dark skinned model with Dani, etc.

After 10 seasons they need to switch over and do the men to spice things up.

This was the year of the plus-sized model. On other blogs there is talk of a conspiracy. Her attitude was horrible. I didn’t follow the Saleisha controversey last cycle, but it is clear that it’s staged. Whitney’s pics were never that great. And her runway walk was a mess. She did everything they told previoius contestants not to do. I remember Nic’s walk was too bouncy when she was in the finals. Whitney was bouncy as hell. Tocarra wasn’t jolly enough for a full-figured model. Whitney isn’t very likable. Oh, well, it’s just TV!! The winners really don’t have that much of modeling careers anyways. Ya-ya has done more (or been more visible) than any other contestant.

i am a happy a plus size woman won. i really didn’t like whitney’s attitude, but she has opened the door for many other normal size or plus size women who would never have thought they could be a model. i honestly didn’t think whitney would last as long as she did.

HOW AND WHY DID SHE WIN??? WAS CYCLE 10 MEANT TO CYCLE FOR A PLUS SIZE WINNER?

First of all I would like the coagulate Whitney as ANTM cycle 10 winner. But Maybe I need to say what everyone else is thinking in the back of there head, why did Whitney win? She never was my favorite because she seemed like a fake ass valley girl but the fact that she was plus size didn’t help. I do not hate people who are a normal size but the fashion world is a totally different world for the one you and I live in everyday. While I do agree that everyone has their own particular idea of what beauty is the fashion industry is the opposite. Men are normally tall with broad shoulders with a six pack, while women are softer, very thin with a small waist. It only takes one person to make a different in the world but it will take decades to change a industry such as fashion. On many of the episodes of ANTM girls would part take in go-sees where they would have to run around a particular city to try on clothes for the runways. 9/10 the clothes were a size 2. If you look at past winners of ANTM almost ALL have had to loose weight and it shows. Just take a look at past winners such as Danielle or Cardee. And not that m writing this a certain session comes to mind when Tyra would always remind girls who were putting on weight (KENYA in South Africa) that the model business is harsh and plus size models do not make it. Once the training wheels are off what will become of Whitney.
