May 9, 2008 Flashback Friday – Blame It On The Rain
Ok, I know Milli Vanilli aren’t the real dudes singing on this #1 hit song, but it is still the jam regardless! Sad that their public scandal caused this song to get pushed to the back-burner! This song is one of the best love songs from the late 80’s, I mean really take a moment and listen to the lyrics! I hope you love muffins are enjoying Flashback Fridays as much as I am, we can go back in time together!

I LOVED me some Milli Vanilli back in the day! Rob and Fab. Fab is the one that committed suicide.

B….you’ve really taken us back today. You sure the yuggins up in here can “get into this?”
I loved this song…thought they were beautiful men…was truly saddened to hear about the deception behind all that was Milli Vanilli.
Do you remember Terrence Trent D’Arby?…gonna have 2 go find that one in my vaults…

Oh DAYUM!!! lol you done took me back to the 5th grade on this one LOL. It was sad to see Fab go like that. I remember when I seen Behind the Music on VH-1…one of the guys who found Fab dead in the hotel said that Fab had a “smile” on his face, like it was a relief for him because he was so hurt by the scandal that happened and also he had a hard life.
I wonder where Rob is now??? Anyone know?

OMG I listen to this now and can not even believe we liked this song in the 80’s… It just sounds so whack to me now, but I use to think it was hot… I still think the lyrics are pretty good but my taste in voices I guess have changed so much that I just found these hideous… any way they were kinda hot at least and it was a good flash back memory…

I can’t believe we did not know they were lip synching back then, there was not hint of an accent in their singing voices
