As you already know, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon tied the knot on April 30th in the Bahama’s with an amazing view of a sunset. Their interview with People will hit stands tomorrow, but here is a sneak preview of it.
The Proposal:
On April 25 Cannon took Carey to the roof of her N.Y.C. apartment to see the Empire State Building, lit pink and lavender to honor her album E=MC². As he often did, he gave her a Ring Pop–candy shaped like a big jewel. But inside the wrapper was a 17-carat pink-diamond ring created by Jacob & Co.’s Jacob Arabo. Her reaction? “He had ribbons around it, so I said, ‘I think mine’s broken,’” says Carey. When he dropped to one knee, “she ran away and got all shy.” he says. Finally, she said yes–twice. Cannon, who filmed it all, proposed again to get a perfect take, this time on a helicopter. “That,” says Carey, “was beautiful.”
The Ceremony:
Mariah: We got married at sunset on the beach. We were trying to get the really golden light. It was late–of course I was late, it’s just in my DNA. We had a white carpet on the sand that went to the water’s edge. My pastor Clarence Keaton flew in from New York. The whole wedding was really beautiful and sweet. Being there with loved ones under the sky… it was a spiritual moment.
The Honeymoon:
Mariah: That was being here [in the Bahamas] after the wedding. Some friends stayed, too, but it was really time for Nick and I to be together.
The Tattoos:
We got tattoos!” says Carey. “His is on one shoulder to the other and it says ‘Mariah.’” And hers? “It’s on my lower back and it says ‘Mrs. Cannon,’” she says

You know something I think that people need to stop being so surprised that she’s married to Nick Cannon now….she deserves to be with someone after all the hard ass work she’s done over the years. They are thinking about having some little ones. The woman is 38 – that biological clock was tick tick ticking. So it would be nice to see her have some kids before she’s 45!
I’m happy for her, because she deserves to be happy, even if its with Nick Cannon. She’s worked so hard in her career to get to this point. So Kudos to Mariah on this one.

WTF? i still cant wrap my mind around it, its like it happened overnight. never in a million years would i have seen this coming. what the hell life is too short, let MC and NC do them. i really hope this isnt a publicity stunt…besides MC cant be thirsty…shes MC.

I think they are so cute. Sometimes you just know. Im not surprised at all. I just hope Nick can rise above all the negativity that is out towards him …you know people saying that he is a nobody and that he isnt good enough for the diva extrodinare Mariah. Plus people calling him a goofball , and corny because he doesnt carry a gun and walk around with a permanent boot in his mouth .He makes people laugh . I guess Jim Carey , Aston Kutcher are cornballs too…huh? If I was him I wouldnt sweat it they call Will Smith(his mentor btw) corny and look at him.
