May 7, 2008 Clinton & Obama Each Get A Win!

• Hillary Clinton wins Indiana
• Barack Obama wins North Carolina
• John McCain wins Indiana and North Carolina

It was a close race in Indiana for Hillary and Barack but not in North Carolina. McCain stayed several thousand votes ahead of Mike Huckabee, Ron Paul, and Mitt Romney (no preference in North Carolina).

  • I’d support hillary. Love her smile and her confidence. She always has a positive attitude and that is what makes her outstanding. Everytime I signed in the site ***Mixedfriends.com*** and some men were talking about her and said she is attractive.

  • Hillary has canceled her appearances for this week…hmmmm. Bill and Chelsea sure looked down last night:)

  • It is time for Senator Clinton to drop out of the race. She won Indiana but it’s with a bullet point. If you look at the internals of the exit polls, Hillary Clinton squeaked by with 15,000 popular vote lead due to Operation Chaos. Operation Chaos was Limbaugh’s plan for Republicans to extend the Democratic race by voting for Clinton and the polls prove that it had an effect on the race. Among the democratic voters and Independents, Obama won Indiana. After an intense media week, Obama actually did better than expected, even in Clinton’s core demographics. Look for the Super Delegates to come out in clumps the next few days. Senator Barack Obama IS the presumptive nominee for President for the Democratic party. YES WE DID!

  • Whats going on in the united states with this election why is it taking so long to make choice in the democratic party. Please explain to me because Iam from Canada. I hope you guys in the states learn your lesson and not vote for any republicans. Because bush made a big mess of the economy and left you guys in a majour dept.

  • This is the democratic process. It should always take this long. The nominee should never be decided before everyone has had an opportunity to make a decision for themselves. I’m really sadden by this latest turn of events. I think giving Obama the nomination is a mistake. Know your candidate.

  • It is true this a democratic process. The fact remains that not one of the candidates will reach the 2,025 elected pledge delegates, but Obama needs only 30 of the remaining 217 available from the primaries. He will have the popular vote and an overwhelming majority of the states won. What we need now is change. The gas tax holiday bandwagon that Senator Clinton jumped on is proof that she is not the one to spearhead that project. We saw that Senator Obama gave a detailed principled rebuttal to the McCain/Clinton pander for votes. In his brief tenure in the Senate, he has been dramatically more active than Clinton in the legislative process. To suggest people are giving him the nomination is not a fair statement. Senator Barack Obama has earned this nomination. It is time to come together and focus on winning the White House and both Houses of Congress. We are on the verge of making this country great once again and Senator Barack Obama is the person to helm this change.

  • Obama has been more active in the legislative process? HA! He doesn’t bother to show up to vote 40% percent of the time. Senator Obama has received a free ride from media and that will all come to an end. Senator Obama has never really had to run against a viable candidate. In the IL senate race, he kept his opponent off the ballot. In the U.S. senate race, his republican opponent quit. I don’t think he can stand up the pressure. Everything has been handed to him. People cry foul when Hillary attacks. The GOP isn’t going to be as nice. This isn’t an election we can afford to lose. I hope that I’m wrong about him and what he’s capable of doing. This country as a whole is struggling and things will get worse before they will ever get better. I’ve been following this election from the very beginning and it’s still unclear to me how Obama is going to make a change. I honestly don’t think his campaign will survive the GOP attacks. Playing the victim won’t work against the republicans.

  • I was actually talking about authoring and sponsoring legislation. As far as attendance, I would assume that metric you are using is in reference to the 110th Congresses. It is a reasonable number considering this falls within the Presidential campaign timeline. And it would be fair to state that neither Senators Clinton or McCain fair much better.I love the experience argument. Senator Obama has more years in public service than Senator Clinton Can you name one thing that Senator Clinton has done with out heading to Google?

Bottom line, there is a presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee. That person’s name is Barack Obama. We can bicker all we want but it is time to think about the General Election.

  • Just shows you can’t keep a good man down. She has tried everything to diminish him. And still in one of his worst weeks (media wise) he still triumphs over her. It’s time for her to wake up and realize that she is hurting the process more than helping, but of course she won’t all she cares about is winning, no matter what the cost is.

  • I have to agree with thejuanstar. If you look at the number of bills authored during each of their time in the Senate, Clinton who has been the Senate longer hasn’t done half as many as Obama. I can’t tell you what she’s been doing, probably resting on her last name. Which coincidentially is what she assummed would win the white house nom for her. It’s really pathetic that she continues to run. Even the republicans had the sense to drop out of the race for solidary behind one candidate. Not Ms. Clinton, she’s selfish and conniving and not very bright to keep spending her OWN money in attempts to win this nomination. The truth is the reason she’s still in the race is because she’s hoping she can convince the superdelegates to vote AGAINST the popular vote and vote for her. Win at any cost, will of the people means nothing to her. Wow, what character. I’ve always said that Ms. Clinton is not the person for the job. She’s a female George W. Bush. it’s like she learned all her tricks from him and I am personally tired of that. As a woman, I’d love to see a woman President. But not her. It’s too late for her to bow out graciously, but she should bow out none the less.

  • I am very proud to say that I am from NC and I voted yesterday, I am an Obama supporter and I am both happy for his victory but still taking shallow breathes because I know that this thing could still turn on it’s nose. There are so many people out there that are not just supporting one but very viciously against the other. Support your candidate without creating more hate in the world. If we don’t wise up McCain will win this thing easily!

  • I am a Hillary supporter and deeply disappointed with the way that this campaign has run on both sides. But, the reality is with Obama’s errors over the last few weeks and his comments about bitter Americans, his crazy ass preacher the likelihood is McCain will win this election and sadly we will have another Republican in office.

Living in my home state of New York I have the distinct privlege of being able to write in Hillary’s name, which makes me somewhat happy. After the Kerry/Edwards debacle I vowed I would never support someone I truly don’t believe in.

I think it is sad that the Democratic party couldn’t pull this out BUT…I have my sticker ready “DON’T BLAME ME I VOTED FOR HILLARY” Best of luck in November. HOPE you guys can pull it out.

  • Minamony, are you really serious? This saddens me to hear the one sided view that people have. I blame the media, but if you do a little more research and not just listen to lil snippets the media wants you to know, you will find out that Mc Cain’s pastor has insulted gays and Catholics. The Clintons have used Rev. Wright for spiritual guidance as well. So if you have a problem with Obama and Rev. Wright, than you should also have a problem with Hillary too.

As for the bitter comment, are you kidding me, that is the perfect example of how ridiculous this campaign has gotten. I AM BITTER THAT THE GOVERNMENT DOESN’T LISTEN TO ME, AND YES I DO CLING TO THINGS I LOVE, LIKE RELIGION, WHEN I AM LOOKING FOR AN OUTLET FOR MY FUSTRATION.

Let’s stop the BS people. The people that know Hillary best are not even supporting her, think about it. Why hasn’t Al Gore endorsed her? Why do people leave her campaign to join Obama’s even during the worst times for him? She doesn’t care about the American people all she wants to do is win, by any means necessary.

  • LB, there are many reasons I will note vote for Obama and I only cited the above reasons that have played out in the media. I have done my research including reading texts from his speeches and his ability to try and cater to every group is dumbfounding. People see this as a uniter I see it as a phony.

You see at least I know what I am getting when I vote for Hillary. Yes, she is not likable but damn that woman has thought about every aspect of the problems we are facing today and truly understands the foreign policy issues that will approach in 2009. I have campaigned for Hillary made, phone calls at home and at phone banks. I have talked to probably hundreds of Obama supporters who have NO IDEA about his policies and pretty much no nothing about him as a Senator.

As for McCain I will note vote for him so i truly don’t care who he has angered. In November I will be able to support the candidate I think is the most qualified and that is Hlllary Clinton.

Also, in case you haven’t noticed Obama has not necessarily blown her out in any state nor in the popular vote and this possibly could have been even closer if Florida and Michigan were included. Hillary had a lot of supporters and although super delegates are jumping ship and Gore or Edwards haven’t supported her…best believe that does not speak for her supporters. I don’t know any regular people that have abandoned her because this race is not about popularity to me. It is about who will get this job done and I am sorry Obama is not ready for 2009…but he might no need to be because the Republican Party is ready.

Hillary believes in herself and is not going to give up just because people tell her to…by any means necessary this seems to be a phrase Obama fans throw around all the time. It sounds familiar, like I have heard it before. A famous person once used it frequently….hmmm Malcolm X that’s right. Interesting? Anyway like I said best of luck in November!!

P.S. LB, he bitter comment was directed towards whites so if you are a working class white person then maybe you are one of the few not offended. But, when i was in Pennsylvania campaigning the weekend he made those comments people were tight! My point was the demographic he can’t seem to make any way with is the one he seemed to alienate the same goes with the Rev. Wright comments. My research has been done and I don’t let the media guide my decisions or I would have been an OBAAAma supporter a long time ago.

  • Minamony, You still haven’t stated your reason for not wanting to vote for Obama. Again I am saddened that you don’t see him as a unifier. If you’ve ever been to one of his rallies you would see how people are coming together, black, white, brown, yellow, young, old, male and female. That is bringing people together, now I understand your concern, as far as not knowing him or his experience, that is a valid reason to 2nd guess him. But that also goes for Hillary, people feel that she is ready because of Bill, but we cannot assume that she will do the same things as he did. SHE HAS NO EXPEREINCE EITHER. If you followed the year Bill ran, it shows you how different they both are. Where Bill ran a campaign more like what Obama is running, about hope and positivity, not deceitful and conniving.

I am from Chicago so I’ve experienced Obama early on. He actually spoke at my cousin graduation 6 years ago, and the message you are hearing now is the same one he was saying then. He is anything but a phony, when it comes to him wanted to unite us. Maybe you would prefer segregation, but I would like to see us more united. If you know anything about his past you will see what type of person he really is. The first time he came to Chicago he was working on the South Side (poorer area) doing community work, he felt that he would be more effective if he would get his law degree, So he went to Harvard Law. Anyone knows that when you go to Harvard you can make a 6-figure income easily, but Obama went back to South Side of Chic. Making barely min. wage, to help the people that could not afford a lawyer from Harvard. That shows you he is willing to sacrifice himself for others.

Although Hillary and her supporters don’t want to believe it, it is over. He has the popular vote, more delegates, and more superdelagates now. But she is still on a mission to divide the party. If that’s something you respect then that’s your right. He even agreed to split the Fl. And Mich. votes and it’s still not helping her.

And the only reason why, people were insulted by the bitter comment is because the media told them to be. Trust me I know the power of the media (it’s the field I work in), people were talking about him being an elitist, because they heard Hillary say it, when most of them have never even heard the word before. But if you really dissect what he was saying and break it down you will understand what he meant whether or not you like how it was said.

I have done my fair share of campaigning as well. So I know what the Hillary has and has not done, and what Obama has and has not done. (I started off as a Hillary supporter.) Let’s face we don’t know really what either will do once in Office. But if you agree with want they are willing to fight for, then that’s cause enough to vote. And if Mc Caine does get in office, because people want to hold on to their grudges, or racial prejudices, we will truly see a recession.

  • LB,

Like I have stated already my mind has already been made up in regards to Obama. I I don’t seem as a uniter and rather willing to please everyone and to me that is not unity. There was a particular speech he gave where he talked about getting Uncle Ray Ray and cousin Pookie off the couch to vote. I was DISGUSTED, mainly because he has no idea what he was talking about. He was talking to a predominantly african american community and thought it was appropriate to make these comments and it’s NOT. Obama has no idea what the lower income, African American experience is about. In fact he even acknowledged this in his book. So, why try and pretend to be someone you are not?

That moment stuck with me throughout his campaign and I realized I can not support someone I feel in my heart is a huge phony. His whole speech after the Rev. Wright debacle was pure crap. All the garbage about am I my brother’s keeper I was honestly laughing. He loved this man, he is family I can not turn him away. Fast forward a few weeks he denounces him..HIL-ARIOUS!!!

I look at Obama and I see fluff without any substance whatsoever. In debates he was hilarious because he basically reiterated everything Hillary said…we feel 97% the same on …well everything.

I personally find it hard to believe you were ever a Hillary supporter and yet you call her decitful and conniving. What does that say about your own instincts? I don’t think she is conniving or deceitful and I think, she is strong, intelligent and yes at times ruthless. But as leader of the free world you can not be soft! She stands up for what she believes in and has outlined her ideas . As for your comments about Bill Clinton and how he ran his campaign like Obama , that is mostly because he did not have to fight as hard as Hillary. The Obama campaign pulls out the race card for every comment and to me that is just sad.

Comments have been made that many blacks are voting for Obma only because he’s black?

It is sad but it’s true. If someone from the CLinton camp made that comment it is immediately marked as racist. No, it’s just the truth! He apparently has 92% of the black vote and let me tell you without it he would not be where he is right now.

As an African American woman who prides herself on being well-informed about this campaign I admit that there were some things Hillary could have done better and she is not perfect. But, neither is Obama regardless of what his supporters think.

I can only laugh at Obama supporters who continue to disrespect Hillary and her supporters because instead of trying to embrace us you have alienated us beyond beleif. The disgusting words I have heard directly from the mouths of Obama supporters have only cemented my decision to NOT vote for him. But, you guys continue to believe you don’t need our help to win the presidential race. Beleive me when I say there is no way in Hell he can win without the Hillary supporters.

I have come to the realization that this race is over and honestly I am almost releived and already am prepared with my stickers when McCain wins in Novemeber. “DON”T BLAME ME I VOTED FOR HILLARY”!!!

Also, I can see why you are in the media. It is incredibly insulting to say most people don’t know what it mean sot be “elitist”. The irony is just by making that comment you exemplify what that comment is about. Just because people are ewhite, and working class does not mean they don’t have a sense of vocabulary. You don’t need the media to tell you what that comment meant…Clinging to guns and religion the comment is asinine to say the least.

I have no racial prejudices and there are no grudges I CAN NOT AND WILL NOT vote for someone I don’t beleive in.

Again I wish you the best of luck in Novemeber and may the 2nd or 3rd best candidate win :-)

  • Minamony, are you kidding me. Hillary is the biggest phony out there. If you can’t support a phony then how can you support Hillary? First she LIED about getting shot at, one minute she’s from Arkansas, New York, Pennsylvania, and pretending to have some fake accent so she can relate to the “voters”. With all due respect your statement is very hypocritical and judgmental.

Obama does know about the lower income African American experience, HE WORKED AND LIVES ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CHICAGO, which had the largest project in the world. So like I said with all do respect you sound a lil ridiculous saying that. As far as the Rev. Wright situation, I guess you have never had a friend that betrayed you. Maybe you’re on the other end of that, but for me, I felt for him because he tried to stand by his friend and his friend was only looking out for himself. I can relate to that I have stuck my neck out for a friend and regretted it later. I feel that took more guts to say that he couldn’t disown him, then to do the “political correct” thing and disown him right away. Not like Hillary, Hillary will disown them right away when something happens, for example the Peter Paul situation (go to you tube) and she also knew Rev. Wright and pretended like she has never seen him a day in her life. TALK ABOUT PHONEY.

Like I said I was a Hillary supporter until her true self surfaced, this race brought out the worst in her. I will agree that Hillary does has to fight harder because she is a woman but the same goes for Obama because he is Black. I am sick and tired of people always bringing up the fact that 92% of black people are voting for Obama cause he is black, well what about the woman that are only voting for Hillary because she’s a woman. The fact is Hillary lost her support in the black community because of how she was running her campaign. There have been several other Black candidates trying to run for President and they didn’t get nearly as far as Obama has. The Black community is harder on supporting the first black president because that is going to be the first example of a black person running for the country, so in reality, to the black community he has to be over qualified.

As far as trying to alienate Hillary supporters, they have alienated themselves. I have friends that are Hillary supporters and Mc Caine supporters. And I ask what do they see in their candidate that they like, which was the same thing I ask you in the beginning. I respect anyone’s decision; all I ask is to be fair and accurate in your judgment. Saying that Obama is phony and implying that Hillary is not, is crazy. I know some people that are voting for Hillary just because she is a woman, although I think that’s ridiculous to vote for the President of the United States based on emotions, same for Obama I don’t think its right that Blacks to support him, solely because he is Black. But since you say you are a African American woman I would think you would have a little pride in seeing Obama try to unite and bridge gaps. It kills me, if blacks weren’t supporting him than that would be a problem. I don’t think there is anything wrong with Blacks standing up for a change that they can believe in and really support. I don’t see how you can’t find pride in that. I even understand woman-feeling pride in supporting Hillary.

I have spoke with people, that flat out told me they would not vote for Obama because he is black, or would not vote for Hillary because she is a woman. And honestly they have given me more of a reason than you have. You say you can’t believe in him, but Why?

Cause he’s phony? I personally don’t think so but you never know, Hillary as already shown the American people she is. Is it because he likes to give inspiring speeches? Or because he stood by a friend? Obama has said he is not perfect and he can’t promise that all everything will be done by his first term. The reason they both have basically the same message is because they are both Democrats. So did John Edwards and the other Dem nominees. Matter of fact that’s what Hillary started out saying in the beginning, “We all have the same views, so you should vote for me because you know me.”

I have the up most respect for your choice, but the fact is you are voting on emotion. The reason why I am not voting for Hillary are for several reasons, 1) I don’t like her health care plan, 2) she voted for a war that should have never been authorized (which shows bad judgment on her part from the beginning), and lets not forget Obama stood firm on his stance against the war, which made it even more difficult with a name like Barack Hussein Obama. That shows a true leader willing to stand behind his principles, whatever the cost maybe. And 3) her gas tax holiday was a joke and insulting to the American people. The fact that I think personally she has no real morals or ethics is just the cherry on top.

As far as my comment about the bitter thing, don’t turn my words around. Yes I said WHEN MOST OF THEM have never even heard the word before; white people weren’t the only people commenting on that. But it’s just insane that its not offensive if when Hillary points out the racial division in the race, but he says something in defense and to sympathize with the American people and they blow it completely out of context.

YOU CHOOSING NOT TO VOTE FOR OBAMA IN NOV. IS NOT JUST HURTING OBAMA SUPPORTERS, BUT YOU AS WELL. YOU DO LIVE HERE IN AMERICA, RIGHT? IF YOU LIKE PAYING HIGH TAXES, PAYING HIGH GAS PRICES, NEVER MOVING FORWARD WITH GAY RIGHTS, TAKING THE ABORTION RIGHTS AWAY FOR WOMAN, AND LETS NOT FORGET CONTINUING IN THE VERY EXPENSIVE, DEATH TOLLING WAR, then go ahead and stay out of it. But when the recession really takes a toll on our economy. You should also make another t-shirt that says, “SORRY, HILLARY MADE ME DO IT!”

  • MINAMONY, ONE MORE THING, What hurts me the most about how Hillary is running this campaign, is how she is highlighting and rewarding people’s racism. When she points out that “hard working, white Americans are voting for her, and they won’t vote for him” That’s pretty hard to take from her, because the African American community has truly embraced the Clintons and instead of standing up for Obama and telling them to overlook their racial prejudices, she encouraging them to hold on to their grudges and vote for me cause I’m white. Please just really think about what she is saying with stuff like that. She’s excited about winning a state that is completely based on racism, yahoo has a clip interviewing the people in Kentucky and West Virgina saying that they would never vote for a black person. They are not voting for her because she’s the better candidate, they are voting for her because she’s white.

Trust me I’m not judging you but I would really like to know as an African American Woman, How can you support that? Maybe you see it differently but I would really like your point of view.

  • LB,

The funny thing about Obama supporters like yourself is that you choose to only see one side of things. Did you happen to see the clips of people in Los angeles at a rally voting for Obama solely because he is black! I am a realist and believe me Hillary has her faults but I don’t vote based on race or gender. I vote based on who I think can do the better job. Would it be cool to have an African American president I guess so? But, that is not my main concern. I am not the only African American woman supporting her. Just because Obama worked on the South side of Chicage doesn’t mean much to me. That does not give you the right to try and speak beneath people.

She has NEVER EVER said vote for me because I am WHITE, so that is being very very Overdramatic and also outright lying!!! It has been vote for me because you know who I am and what I can do. All of a sudden people are disrespecting her and saying the only experience she has is being a President’s wife. Seriously! I am from New York, she has been my Senator for almost 8 years not barely three like someone else we know, and of those three he has spent a year and a half if not more running for President.

You have got to be kidding me with the whole war issue. Yes, barack was against it but even HE has admitted that he is not sure what he would have done if he actually had the opportunity to vote. You can talk all the junk you want but when you are in that position you have no clue what you would do. I am a New Yorker, I remember 9/11, I remember people wanted revenge and they didn’t care who it was. Hillary represented a state that directly felt the impact of 9/11 we lost thousands of people. I am not saying the war was the right decsion but hindsight is 20/20.

LB, this is politics and let’s face reality no one is perfect and it is a dirty business. everyone lies including your boy. He is not a god and no I do not see him as a uniter that is my gut feeling and my instincts almost never fail me.

As for Clinton supporters alienating themselves that is probably the funniest thing I have read in a realloy long time. You may just have a career in COMEDY. My issues with Barack are all professional. But Obaama supporters use persaonl attacks against Hillary and her supporters. I have been called Sell out, Uncle tom, race trader are you effin kidding me. Have some dignity. These same people get pissed when I ask them why theyu support Obama and they can’t name a single reason other than he is inspiring change. I am sorry but I can not take a chance on HOPE.

As for the Clinton’s what the Obama campaign has done to demonize the Clinton’s within the black community is outrageous:

Bill Clinton calling the idea barack was against the war from the beginning a “fairytale” was racist.

Hillary mentioning the role of LBJ in passing the Civil Rights Act was racist.

Bill Clinton saying of all the impressive world leaders he’s known including Yitzak Rabin & Nelson Mandela, if he had to choose one person to be a leader he’d choose Hillary – racist and denigrating Nelson Mandela.

    etc etc etc

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/12/obama-camps-memo-on-clin_n_81205.html

As an African American supporter of Hillary Clinton, I saw this as race baiting and it turned me off of the Obama campaign. I don’t believe in voting on the color of my skin but rather on healthcare policy, economy, foreclosure policy – all areas where I believe Hillary is stronger. I think it’s absolutely wrong in the course of a campaign to try to destroy the legacy of the Clintons who have spent a lifetine battling within the civil rights movement, advocating for the middle class, opening up his presidential office in harlem not because he foresaw Hillary facing Obama in the 2008 election, but because he felt an affinity for the african american community.

So basically I don’t think Obama’s run a clean campaign and I have lost a tremendous amount of respect for Obama. For all his high rhetoric about “new politics” and “disagree without being disagreeable”, his campaign has certainly been same old same old.

I certainly hope that my decsion has now met your standards. I am not someone who makes a decision as important as this by listening to a couple of speeches. I made sure to do my research on both candidates.

As for voting I stress again I live in NYC (the greatest city in the world) Just thought I would throw that in there :-) and it is guaranteed we will vote democrat. Maybe if I lived in Ohio I might, just might consider voting for Obama. But, it would be a vote for the party and not for him! My vote will not matter in the General Election but I will know that I voted for a candidate I beleived in.

I don’t in anyway see the Clinton’s as racist and I don’t think Maya Angelou does either…yet I read a blog the other day saying the most disgusting things about this brilliant, intelligent woman because she supported Hillary. I will not engage with people like that because I know it is a lack of intelligence, self-respect, humanity and cultural knowledge that makes them say these ignorant things. I consider myself to be well-informed about this campaign and I AM tired of being judged. All I ask for his common respect for my choice and my candidate.

  • LB,

And one final note on the race issue. I don’t know what world you live in but racists won’t for a black man regardless “if Hillary” tells them to or not. This is sad but true. If you are a hardcore racist then there is nothing that is going to change your mind. These ignorant people believe that Blacks are below them. They believe every stereotype that is known to man. Your insinuation that Hillary is controlling the Kentucky vote by telling them to vote for me because I am white is hilarious. She has actually won in some of the most diverse states in this nation. I beleive Obama won in some of the WHITEST..so your theory doesn’t hold water. I guess I have done enough posting this morning and should get back to work. Have a great day!

  • Minamony, Wow I feel really sad by the way you think if we all thought that way. Blacks would still be slaves, or segregated from the rest of the world, woman wouldn’t have any rights, gay rights would never progress etc. The truth is some people can change and this election is showing that. I never said that Hillary hasn’t won diverse states or that Barack hasn’t won predominantly white states. But the people of W. Virginia and Kentucky are being very vocal about them not voting for a black man. And Hillary is using that to her advantage by highlighting that fact, saying Barack will never win this state because they won’t vote for him. I thank god for people like MLK, JFK, Barack etc etc. because if they felt the way you did, the world would be a very sad place. It’s people like them, that believe in changing people’s perceptions of others that makes this world a better place (not trying to sound so we are worldish, but its true). My cousin committed suicide because her family wouldn’t accept the fact that she was gay, now they wish they had been more open minded. They had to learn the hard way, hopefully you won’t.

Now I really hope you read my previous letter, I know its a lot, but I hope you take what I’m saying into consideration, honestly by your responses I find it kind of hard to believe that you are a black woman, but I will take your word for it. I won’t bother you any more; I just hope you open your heart and your mind.

  • I see you are not reading my post all the way through and if you are, you’re not understanding them.

    AGAIN
I SAID IT IS WRONG TO VOTE JUST BECAUSE HE IS BLACK OR JUST BECAUSE SHE IS A WOMAN. But some people are doing that.

AND I NEVER SAID, SHE ACTUALLY SAID “VOTE FOR ME COZ I’M WHITE” I SAID IF YOU THINK ABOUT WHAT SHE IS COMMENDING AND REWARDING IS THE RACSIM IN THOSE STATES AND USING IT TO HER ADVANTAGE. AND THE UNDERLINE STATEMENT IS THAT.

I am from the Chicago (the greatest city in the world) just thought I would throw that out there. : ). And I know he was directly involved in the black community as well as the Hispanic, and other low income areas. HE HAS NEVER LOOKED DOWN ON ANYONE. Meet the man before you judge him, he spoke to my nephew (before he was running for president) for 1hour about how to improve his life and not fall off track into the wrong things. Just because you may not have liked how he said something doesn’t mean he was looking down at someone. I didn’t think Hillary was looking down at housewives when she said, “What do you expect me to do, be at home and baking cookies” but people were offended.

I know that people were upset after 911, I lost 2 friends in towers and wanted someone to pay, but it is the job of the President to not move on emotions but with logic. And Hillary had all the right forms in front of her and still made the wrong decision, as for as Barack saying he didn’t know how he would vote is not accurate that is a rumor that has been circulating. But he made a very public speech against it.

Now I will say that it is wrong for you to be attacked for your choice, no one has the right to say who you can and cannot vote for or call you names because of your decision. I personally don’t understand it, but it’s not for me to understand why you are choosing your candidate, that’s your right. But I will say, I think you have an unwarranted hatred for Obama for some reason and I am really trying my hardest to understand it. The only person that turned me off of the Clintons were the Clintons, they have said and done some very inappropriate things, and I don’t like her health care mandate, the gas tax holiday and she’s already $20 million in debt, so honestly I have to think if she can’t manage her campaign budget properly than I can’t expect her to run the national budget correctly.

But one thing is clear; it is hard for you to look at the whole picture because you are very passionate about your choice. But I guarantee that if it were Obama that said and done half the things Hillary has, you would find it to be very appalling, and not strong and courageous like you do with Hillary. The fact is you really like Hillary for better or worst and that’s fine to, at least you have loyalty.

I DO NOT think the Clintons are racist, but I do think that they are excepting and rewarding it when she makes the statements she has, Instead of standing up and saying to the white blue collar workers, that they should open their minds and not judge someone based on their skin color or gender, she just continues to make the case that they will never change their minds so I should be the nominee, because who cares about uniting us. If it were me, I would be disgusted that they were voting for me just because they don’t want to vote for the black guy. (and please note I am not saying everyone is voting for her based on that fact.) But like I said they were very vocal about that in Kentucky and W Virginia.

All I ask of Hillary supporters is to try and let their walls down and try to really get to know Barack, I know he’s new to a lot of people, but his message and determination is incredible he will fight his heart out for the American people (think about it, he is risking his life and his families lives to become President) you don’t put yourself in jeopardy just because you think you give a good speech, he has heart and is a brilliant man that can get us out of this mess. I will even give it to Hillary I think she is a very strong woman, and I admire her determination as well, I just agree more with what Obama believes in and is willing to fight for, and the fact that he is not afraid to go against the grain when he believes in something.
