May 2, 2008 Usher Won’t Pimp Out His Child!
Usher says he won’t be selling pictures of his kid for money. Usher told the New York Post “I am livid that people talk about my child”. Usher has already proven to be a man of his word when he posed, for no money, with his kid for a Father’s Day cover for Essence. Thoughts?

I think that is a good idea (not accepting money in exchange for pics of your children). I don’t believe some celebrities that do that, it is like pimping out your child, it’s exploitation. I think this issue of Essence will be a must read.

Good for him! I will state though, that the Angelia Jolie route of donating all of the money generated from the baby photos to charity is also just as noble a cause.

The reason Angelina jolie sold images of her children was because of series of circumstances. Theres videos on youtube of how photographers would mob her children. If any of you REMEMBER that first article, it was discussed that she decided if she sell photos, there would be two benefits: money would go to charities to stop world hunger and the frenzy would not be as insane whenever she took her baby ANYWHERE where. Its firstly for the safety of her children. Photographers snap photos, and sell them to the highest bidder. The sooner they snap it and the more aggressive they are about getting the photo they need, the more money they get. I’m glad Usher is being the man he is about this, but before we start bashing the trendsetters lets remember why the trend was set.

so yeah i dont believe for one minute they didnt pay him….and further more if people wanted to pay me for pictures of my kid i would most definitley do it, lets not forget what real pimping means lol! shoot all i had to do was give birth and have them snap a few professional pictures of the baby hell yeah i would do it

Well his woman looks a mess. Maybe the child does too. He’s super sensitive about what people say. Maybe he just doesn’t want to put his child out there for fear people may say his baby is not cute…LOL Lord knows his woman aint.
