May 2, 2008 New Music: Maroon 5 Feat. Rihanna
Maroon 5 and Rihanna have teamed up for a remix to “If I Never See Your Face Again”. The original version of the track was featured on Maroon 5′s sophomore album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, but the remix featuring Rihanna is the new single for the re-release of their album. The new song will also be featured on Rihanna’s re-release of Good Girl Gone Bad which is slated to hit stores on June 17th. Despite critical acclaim and massive popularity, the latest efforts from Maroon 5 and Rihanna have only sold 1.7 million and 1.2 million respectively. It is easy to see why record companies would be so eager to re-issue their albums. The video was shot last week and is said to feature ultra-glam stylings reminiscent of the late-’70s/ early-’80s. Can’t wait to see what they come up with. In the meantime, Enjoy Love Muffins.
