Baby makes five for Cate Blanchett and her writer-director husband, Andrew Upton. Their, son Ignatius Martin, was born Sunday at a Sydney hospital, according to Australian magazine WHO. The couple, who are based in Australia, already have two sons: Dashiell John, 5, and Roman Robert, 3. In November, when she confirmed her pregnancy, Blanchett, 38, was informed of rumors that she was carrying a boy, prompting her to respond: “You know more than me. It’s early days yet. It’s due in April.” The Aviator Supporting Actress Oscar winner and Upton are currently co-directors of the Sydney Theatre Company – a career move partly made in the interests of her children. Elder son Dashiell, says his mom, “needs to be settled, and I respect that.” Cate Blanchett is a great talent and I’m thrilled to see her bring more Tiny Tots for Christ into the world.

In the latest issue of Blender Magazine, Grammy Winner, Alicia Keys blames the US government for the deaths of rappers Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G. In the interview, the singer opened up about her political views and conspiracy theories. Keys claimed that the US government invented ‘gangsta rap’ with a purpose. She said that the rappers’ slayings were fuelled by “the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing”. The 27-year-old singer also claimed that the ‘gangsta rap movement’ never existed, but was created “as a ploy to encourage black people to kill each other”. He received a stab wound to his arm, facial lacerations as well as a nice shiner. Sources say that he’s received more and more death threats in recent weeks. I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Michelle Williams last night, even though I was a bit tipsy and things! The stunning and kind Michelle Williams was amongst friends when I walked up to have our chatty-chat (and you know she did my signature “It’s B. Scott” and gave me a warm hug!) Love muffins let me just say she has to be one of the nicest, down to earth people I have ever met! We talked about her latest project, Unexpected, which is her appropriately titled third solo album. Michelle has had an extremely successful solo gospel career so this R&B album is definitely something “Unexpected” – but as a fan I am absolutely looking forward to hearing this “fresh” and “new” sound. Unexpected will be released on August 12, 2008 with the first single being, “We Break the Dawn”. She held auditions for dancers for the “We Break the Dawn” video here in Los Angeles yesterday and the video will be shot next week! Update: Pete Wentz addresses the pregnancy rumors as a “witch hunt”. According to the email that Pete wrote to MTV News. “There is a witch hunt for people to be pregnant whenever they get engaged in Hollywood,” he wrote. “This is all news to me. I can’t wait for the story about how I’m really in a gay relationship and this is all just a cover. … I mean really, this is crazy. … I mean we’re engaged, that’s true, and happy about it.”
