April 24, 2008 Real World Hollywood Recap!
Last night episode 2 of Mtv’s Real World Hollywood aired, and roommates Kimberly and Brianna got into a huge arguement about absolutely NOTHING. While watching it, I said to myself “Hot damn hoe here we go again!” Did you all hear how many times Kimberly came completely out of her face and called Brianna “ghetto”? I mean seriously love muffins it had to have been at least 5 or 6 times. Just repeatedly – back to back – “ghetto,” “ghetto,” “ghetto.” It was as if Kimberly intentionally wanted to make sure the camera’s heard what she said. Every other word out her mouth was “ghetto.” Then she tried to cover it up later in her confessional by saying that ‘she was drunk’ and that ‘Bree has even said it herself that she tends to get ghetto when she drinks.’ (Side Note: Why did Kimberly even take her [explicit] out there? It might would have been some rumbling in the jungle with me and her. Oh yes yes yes! B.Scott would’ve probably had to take it to the streets!)
Of course, Kimberly later makes it a point to state that she is NOT racist in regards to repeatedly calling Brianna ‘ghetto.’ Love Muffins I hope you got your Tivo’s ready. If so, rewind the tape boo boo and check out what Kim says to her roommate Sarah right off the heals of the argument. Kimberly loses her got dang mind once again and says that “Brianna took it to Blackville.” Lord-have-mercy! Blackville? Really? All I could do was shake my head, turn off the television and turn on some gospel music because Jesus, himself, was gon’ have to come and take the wheel I was so livid! This girl has clearly lost her mind all over my TV screen.
Love Muffins I KNOW I’m not alone on this. Why is it that this show consistently features some country heffa trying to pretend like because of where she’s from – she’s oblivious to the ills of racist words and/or words with racist connotations? Calling someone “ghetto” or referring to a black girl as “taking it to ‘Blackville?” (sigh) Oh Abba – Before I turn into Hewey P. Newton – let me drink some of my special elixir and shut my mouth. (rolls eyes and walks away from the computer…)

I was running on the treadmill when she came out of her face to say blackville and I had to do a two step to stay on cause i surely almost slipped the hell off. I had to hold on to the rail for it was my fence.

I honestly don’t know what the hell she was thinking by rolling up on Bri and telling her “to not get ghetto”. WTF is that?! I knew she was going to say some off the wall shit when her and ol’ girl were digging in Brianna’s past life. I thought it was messed up for her to try and get to know her, then throw the whole stripper thing right in her face during the argument. I hope she relishes in the fact that she’s MTVs little narrow-minded dumbass this season (sorry for the profanity!).
I’m done with this show (for now LOL).

See, this is why I stopped watching Real World. I went to MTV.com, watched the episode, and read some of the comments. There were quite a few people stating Kimberly didn’t mean the comment racially it just “came out that way.” That bitch ain’t stupid..she knew exactly what the fuck she was saying, and trust it won’t be the last. Bitches like that wont’ rest until you slap the shit outta them like Stephen did to Irene on Real World Seattle lmao. Blackville my ass ho. Ok I’m done venting sorry for the expletives. Love ya B.

I saw the repeat of that ISH a few minutes ago. Needless to say, NurseFAB’s mouth was open and she was just sitting on the couch staring at the TV with a “What the *%#$ did she just say” expression on her face! What in the hell is “blackville”?? See, she would have gotten straight mollywhopped before the second “ghe—(slap!)” got out of her mouth. I agree with MrsFAB, and would have taken her ass to HICKville and busted her upside the head with a rusty Bud Lite can and then run her down in my Ford F150.

She was REALLY lucky that the show isn’t the “real” real world, because LAWD knows she would have been pickin her face up off the floor (…and yes I will be watching next week, SIGH)

I wrote a topic about this in the ask B.scott section of the forum after watching the preview. My and my gf’s watched it last night and were so stirred. obviously she is very clueless and it is sad how undiverse she is. Clearly she needs to get outta tha damn woods and take another look at our beautiful melting pot called U.S.A. I must admit I shot the generalized white comments back at the TV…”o no gf let’s not get valley, let’s bring it back from laguna beach hunny, like totally take a chill pill”! My friends think I would be the Tynisha from Bad Girls Club of the Real World. Cuz I def. woulda been doing some poppin’ off when she took it there.

from the first episode when she made that comment about ‘nice people from detroit’ i sensed that i wouldnt like the bitch.
the thing is she KNOWS what she said was wrong. because she wouldnt have felt the need to apologize for it and say that it wasn’t about race.
brianna is a better person than me. because i would’ve beaten her ass into the ground and SHOWED her what ghetto was. i definitely wouldn’t have made up and hugged that bitch. all of them are fake as hell, their true colours are showing.

Forget about taking me higher… take to a shoe store so I can get a pair of steel toe boots because I’m about ready to kick some tail… I’m still not over Kim making the statement on the first show about not knowing someone as cute as Will can come from Detroit. I’m from Detroit and is still hella-pissed about that statement.
But last night…. she purposely was trying to insult and degrade Brianna… beyond calling her ghetto she kept trying to throw in her face that fact that she was a stripper. I will reserve my judgment as far as her choice of work but for Kim to act she was so cool with it asking her to teach her how to work the pole but in the very next breath spit it back in her face like it is something so wrong pissed me off even more.
She’s a snake in the grass and I hope all the words she’s speaking comes back to bite her square in the ass!

Her excuse of saying those things was due to her being drunk was lame. From my experiences of being drunk and being around other drunk people, I have learned that you will actually say how you really feel. When Brianna banged on that fence I had a flashback of Vanessa banging on the wall before she started to swing on Crystal on College Hill.

For some reason I expected Kimberly to say something like that. I am so sick of people claiming that they are not racist and then in come out the mouth with comment like that. She topped it off with the Blackville comment and that had me HOT. I was sick about it. Why do they kick people off the show for hitting but let them chill after saying things like this. I want her gone!!! No more air-time for miss kim. If I were Briana, we would not be on speaking terms after that. I don’t care how buddy buddy the rest try to be. She would be invisible to me. Her apology was “blah” and I get the feeling she says things like that all the time. Yeah, I gotta let Jesus take the wheel cause I am running off the road and ready to flip.

my boyfriend and i watched in disgust as the words seemed to spill outta her mouth. i was punching one hand into another because i really couldn’t believe that on the 20th season of the real world we’re still seeing the same ignorant comments being made. can we please get it together?

I took the opportunity to watch the http://www.realworlddailies.com edit and it was actually quite interesting. I think Kim was definitely trying to push Brianna’s buttons and obviously it worked. But, let me just say I am one of those people that does not equate ghetto with being black. I know all types of ghetto people and believe me they are all colors of the rainbow. I was angry watching this episode too and Kim being down on Briana about being a stripper is also extremely whack. BUT, here is the thing, before kimberly even makes the Blackville comment Briana calls her Whitey and a Cracker. While watching it I laughed so hard but in reality it’s quite sad.
My question is why is it ok for MTV to show Kimberly making racial references but edit Briana’s. My guess is that Briana’s mouth was so filthy that they couldn’t get a legible sentence out.
My point is that Briana is not innocent in this instance …she also made inappropriate comments as well. So, I think we are a little quick to judge Kimberly. But let me just tell you if a “white” girl ever told me I was taking something to Blackville it would be ON! I truly think that the only reason she felt brave enough to say those things is because she had protection; whether it be her roommates, real world producers or her friends. Her being “drunk” might have also given her a little bit of courage too!!!
