She said that the media fueled the situation by oversloganizing the word gangsta rap. The media overhyped this whole feud by basically pitting these two against eachother. She never said that the government invented gangsta rap so that black people could kill eachother. She never put all the blame on the government. She never said people promoting a gangsta lifestyle aren’t wrong. She just said the media played a big part in putting so much emphasis on gangsta rap, that it gave the black community a bad image, and ultimately helped fuel this feud and those assassinations, like a catalyst. It’s the media. Things like Blender (media) twist up words to make it seem more radical. Anything to sell. Anything to break down someone positive, for their own profit. That’s basically what media is today. It makes me sad that lies like these gets lots of people going crazy, but her work with Keep a child alive gets zilch.
