April 8, 2008 Mischa Barton Gets Off With DUI!
Mischa Barton will accept a plea deal in her DUI case, sparing her any jail time, a source tells PEOPLE. The former O.C. star will plead no contest to DUI at her arraignment Thursday in Beverly Hills court, and agree to serve a three-year unsupervised probation term, the source says.
Barton will also be sentenced to a three-month alcohol-education class, and pay a fine of approximately $1,700. In addition, a marijuana possession charge against the actress will be dropped, due to the small amount found. Another charge of driving without a license will be reduced to an infraction, according to the source. Hey B!!! love yah— my husband had a ten year old Dui that he didn’t take care of, so the cops pulled him over and he ended up doing 60 days in the county jail–Lord take me higher!!!

this makes me so mad. the world is f.up. yup, the rich and famous once again get away with everything. if it was you or me, we’d have a criminal record.

In all actuality I believe that if she were the average chick she would have been offered the same. Most people with no prior criminal record are usual given a fine for a DUI – a lot can have it not appear on their record if they hire the right lawyer. So I’m not surprised.
