April 8, 2008 First Black Female Vice President!
That’s right! Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is actively courting the vice presidential nomination, said Republican strategist Dan Senor. On This Week with George Stephanopolous on Sunday, Senor added “Condi Rice has been actively, actually in recent weeks, campaigning for this.” Very Interesting. Love Muffins, If John McCain chooses Condoleezza as his vice presidential nominee will you vote for them?!

Nope! Heck as far as I’m concerned she is more the VP now than Chaney and I’m not impressed. Condi has more degrees and experience than any of the candidates if anything she should be in the #1 spot but of course America not having it. This just makes McCain look desperate, it won’t work…

Absolutely not. I am not voting for an individual, I am voting on the issues. A vote for McCain and Rice would be like okaying four more years of Iraq war,Bush politics and current Republican spending.
My vote stands for Obama.

Obama 08! I would never vote for Condi because of her policies. Its all pro-Bush. Just because is a black woman won’t swing my vote to her. And i’m glad to see how many people said no because of her policies. It just goes to show that this is not about race but about who can do the job and has the best answers and judgement for all of us. Obama 08!

As much as I would like to support my sister, uh….no! I have had enough of Bush, and I have quite enough sense to know that he will still have an illiterate voice in that administration. He has made a mess of the world; it is time to move on, and his time has passed…now go away quietly.

Besides…it is so obvious to me that the Republicans can see that America is moving in a new direction, and they are trying to appear to do the same, while actually keeping us exactly where we are now.

Jacob- are you serious? this woman is arugably the worst Secretary of state and one of the worst foreign policy experts, who cares about her race? why even go there? although if she is the vp, it is obvious what the republicans are doing, they are bascially using her to court women and african americans, which is an insult if you are a women or a African American. But the fact that you insinuate the idea of voting for the Rebulicans because of this is beyond comprehension.

i love you bscott!
anyone who has sense should be voting for someone based on what they are bringing to the table not on their race. i’m black and i’m an obama supporter because i’ve researched his campaign and i feel like he would be best to lead the country, not because he’s black too. i’m not going to change my vote just because a black woman gets nominated for the vp ticket. when are we going to realize that it’s not about race?

Please do more research….Ms Rice has consistently said she is not interested in being VP, She is returning to her passion for academia and teaching at Stanford.

W o w…how STUPID do our government leaders think we are? Vote for John McCain because Condi Rice is on the ticket? Of all the Black females in government to choose from, the Republican party would front one of the main parties in leading our nation into the dismal state it’s in today- shame! And, I suppose the idea is being put out there to lure voters into this “race baiting” foolishness that has been going on consistently throughout these elections(FYI: CR has repeatedly said she does NOT want to be considered for VPOTUS). Let’s assume that she actually does want to be VPOTUS. No one in their right mind would be lured by this. This idea is being out out there as if Black people will vote for McCain if he has a Black person as his VP candidate and as if women will vote for McCain if he has a woman as his VP candidate.
I am so disgusted with the state of the media and government in this nation – it’s disgusting that our leaders keep trying to pander to the most base among us. *SMH*

I think it’s insulting. This will just ensure that who ever wins the Dem nom at the convention will be the next president.
It’s great that we have some black people in visible positions but it’s sad that people aren’t doing their homework and trying to find out what these people are about before putting them in office. Just like your employer checked your background before you got hired you should be checking theirs as well. Vote intelligently. If you check out her background and feel as if she’s done an outstanding job then by all means vote for her. However, IMO, there’s no way you can come to that conclusion.

oh no. a republican will not get my vote. a vote for a republican = our troops still in Iraq, too much money being spent on this when that money could be used to better our schools, & higher gas prices (lord knows i DON’T need that)

are you fing kidding me ? so we can be in an unwinnable vietnam war for 100 years and have the economy continue to crash and not to mention republicans hate gays and refuse to give them rights (and they are racist: ie: war on drugs that keeps blacks in prison while violent offenders roam free). b i had more faith in you, you should never be promoting such filth on your site.

CORY,
Really. Wow, your post was to say the least dumb as hell. First of all the grammar is horrible and the slave master thinking that was indicated in your post in unfortunate. “Obama is a nice guy…needs more experience?” Every candidate goes into that white house without any presidential experience. What experience did Bush have that Obama does not have? Oh I forgot little Bush had Big Daddy Bush’s fuckups to follow after. How could I have forgotten that experience.

This is just a really harsh attempt of Republicans trying to gain the black and minority vote. I think it’s WRONG.
Yes it shows progress, but it also shows desperation.
