come back to reality. take Tamia, Bey and whitney off that list. the cd is good, but they way mariah sang most of the tracks is no different than Ashanti or Faith. without those whistle notes mariah is really average. go listen to Bey BLOW on listen or resentment, mariah didn’t do any of that on the new cd, maybe because she cant anymore.

I have to say I was won over. 50%. I even was feeling Touch My Body, which I couldn’t stand at first. Her voice is on point as usual. But the ones that stood out for me were Love Story, I Stay in Love, I’ll Be Loving You, Bye Bye. But the two that I love are Side Effects & For the Record. I love their music & lyrics. They say something to me. I think posting is actually good because people listen for curiosity & then they will most likely like something that will stick in their heads that’ll persuade them to purchase. At least that’s my thought process. But I have every other cd, so I was buying anyway.

ok u guys aren’t we being just a little over critical of this album i mean i agree with the earlier posts that e=mc2 in no way matches the stellar albums like her 1st or music box, daydream, butterfly, but it is what it is a hottttttttt album in its own right !!! we have to remember that thoses earlier albums were done almost 20 yrs ago mariah was in her late teens early twenties and her pipes were vibrant and youthful and the music sound was a lot different, but like Madonna or Janet, Mariah is keeping up with the times. for us those earlier albums were the shit to the new kids coming up mimi and e+mc2 are the equivalent to music box or daydream!!! e=mc2 is hot mariah sound likes shes letting it all hang out and shes also showing us that she doesn’t have to always use her octaves to sell the song she is showing us that she can sing in her natural full voice(her stay the night voice) werre she blows fron the bellows of her gut!!! with out using here octave whistle notes. mariahs voice is better than beyonce, tamia, ciara, janet, brandy, madonna, mya, ashanti, faith,and sad to say it Whitney’s (until she comes out with something that says other wise) she is a sanger not a singer like the other gurls. mariah can blow each and everyone of them off the stage with out going into her upper registers the only one that can give here real battle is ms celine cause she can go to the rafters to!!! the point is that he album is hot and Mariah is older and her music is going to change and evolve i mean isn’t that what art is really anyway !!! shes going to grown and change through the yrs and we have lived it with her this is another journey that mariah refers to as that roller coaster ride and the ride is good and consistent no one can do what she does and when u try to compare her to herself well that right there just says that she has se the bar very high and she continues to set it higher hello she beat elvis yall !!!!!!! these other girls are trying to reach mariah heights remember she was there inspiration when they were little hello !!!!!!!

When Artist are compared to themselves, it’s because the person doing the comparing has heard and knows the Artist’s potential and the talent they have to offer. Mariah Carey, is no doubt, one the best vocalists to open their mouths, but a whole album with all ATL ballads would not be good sound. Maybe for a soundtrack, but not an album. I’m definitely buying a copy of this album because I love MC and she is so inspiring, but I give it an 8 out of 10.

This album is an instant classic – once again Mariah at her best! Everyone is entitled to their opinions but this album is undeniable – Mimi doesn’t have anything to prove to anyone but she did anyway. She proved that she still has “it” vocally, lyrically, and in her ability to deliver HITS! Mark my words this album will do super duper well commercially and will have at least two more #1s – mediocre my a$$! Mariah Carey couldn’t even be mediocre even if she tried my dear love muffin. Once again in the words of Mimi “I Wish You Well” in your attempts at trying to make Mariah out to be anything other than the best! HONEY HUSH and listen to genius at work. Every track on this album is beyond stellar and you can tell she took her time to produce each one of them! And Migrate, I’m That Chick, and O.O.C. are some of my favorite tracks – trust and believe I will talking about the greatness of this album for the rest of the year so get use to it! Mariah Carey is “That Chick” that just surpassed Elvis and taught all these young girls how to sing!

Haven’t you ever heard of going against the grain? What ever happened to not doing what everyone else is doing. So other people download and other sites are doing it. If others jumped off a bridge, it sure sounds like a lot of you would jump too.

B. Scott is amazing, he should be that person that stands out against it and makes noise about what a problem it is instead of being someone that does something all the other sites are doing. To those saying it’s not that serious you realize you are promoting stealing. People say well… it’s just ONE song. Just one song is one dollar. One dollar out of your pocket. So, naturally, if you say it’s okay to do it you gotta think there are at least fifty other people in your neighborhood alone that will also say it’s not a big deal. That’s fifty bucks. Let’s turn that one dollar into a $12.00 album that’s being pirated by fifty people in your neighborhood alone. One album a week for a year… each of those 50 people in your neighborhood. That’s $31,200 dollars. If the police showed up at your door for doing that damage alone, which I know plenty of people can and do every single day… would you really say… “It’s only a dollar.” It all adds up and it IS stealing no matter what way you try to glamorize it. You say he’s HELPING her, and while I get you thinking it’s helping since she isn’t exactly poor… what about the people that helped to make the album that are suffering because of piracy? Just because YOU’RE gonna go buy the album after downloading illegally right now, “supposedly” , you know damn well you can’t speak for the other 50,000 people that come to this site everyday. That’s $600,000 dollars lost and a lot of little people like me losing money because brats like you all want to come online and fight saying it’s not wrong to STEAL. It’s illegal for a reason. although every uptempo on the album sounds like ITS LIKE THAT and every ballad sounds like WBT, there are some good points in the album..Love Story, For The Record, and Cruise Control are great tracks. I think LOVE STORY should be the next single. The rest of the tracks are mediocore expecially Migrate, Im That chick, and O.O.C. Now that i think about it, this album really reminds me of J.Lo’s last album BRAVE. I think i was a little harsh with the comment i left before after all she does have her own style which i respect, but i still think its just another pop album. And B.Scott…better then anything that will be released this year???? may i remind you that beyonce and toni braxton are releasing albums this year. they will deff. have better albums then Mariah.

I can’t say I am surprised, I knew from the first single that this album is not for me. I know the industry has change and so has Mariah (which is the way it has to be) but change is when you grow evolve and become better not go the standards of no talent all image kind of artist.

Maybe she is doing this because her voice is not what it’s to be and she doesn’t want songs that are hard to sing, this songs are maybe easy for her to lip-sync.

I am not one of those fans that are stuck in the 90’s but still I want a Mariah album that will survive the time. I want an album where you can still listen to after 10 and still feel the same way as you did back then.

I have been one of Mariah’s biggest fan since I was 7 years old, I don’t know if I should buy the album or not. I was planning on buying it just to the support her (since I love her) but now that I have heard the song I don’t know.

I download stuff all the time but I love when the actual CD comes out. I like to think of it as getting a collector’s item. Years from now I can look back on the inserts, lyrics, pictures, dedications, etc. People who collected albums back in the day know how to appreciate the value of this kind of thing.
