April 5, 2008 Cast Of Girlfriends Suing The CW!
Love muffins, it looks like the cast of “Girlfriends” will be suing The CW network for not honoring their contract and not paying the money they are due! Take me higher lord! Since the Writer’s Guild Strike, The CW decided not film the remaining episodes and chose to cancel the series all together.
According to Tv.com, The CW made the cast members an offer to return for a “retrospective” episode that would feature recaps of the previous shows and cast members reflecting on those shows. The CW apparently only offered to pay the actors half of their episodic salary to shoot the makeshift finale, thus the stars collectively opted not to participate…”The network told them point blank, ‘Sue us!’ After using this show to help built its name, The CW has turned their back on them and disrespected them in the most horrible way,” said someone associated with the show, who spoke under the condition of anonymity.
The CW is acting a monkey doodle fool! To read more, click HERE.

That is totally wrong! I am very disappointed to have learned of this. I LOVE Girlfriends. Furthermore, I came to like and respect the cast as great actors. I am beside myself right now because of what the CW network is pulling. “Sue us!” No sir!! Unacceptable!!! These ladies and gentlemen need to be given what is due to them regardless of what the writers decided to do. It isn’t like the cast orchestrated and executed the strike. My goodness.

These channel always this S$%^T. When the CW was the WB, it did the same thing. UPN did the same thing. They rely on black comedies and dramas to build a following for their channels garner ratings then try to put some white dramas and situations comedies after they build their ratings and then try push the original shows that made the channel popular to the back burner. Right now CW has moved Everybody hates Chris and The Game and girlfriends to sunday,(there highest rated shows) when it been on monday forever for Gossip girl. They did not make a formal annoucement or anything, then they are going to cancel these show due to poor ratings.
The ratings are poor because no one knows when the show is on.
This is how they effectively change the demographics of their viewers.
They pimped the black show for white viewers, just like the record buisiness

I’m not surprised…………..they deserve a two if not three hour finale to wrap up all of the story lines…..i.e. Status of Joan’s marriage, William/Monica’s pregnancy, Toni Childs’ return…………There is a member of my family that thinks this is karma b/c of the way that Jill Marie Jones had to leave. I know she told the press it was a mutual decision, but I think she was being polite & politically correct.
