Love muffins I just can believe this! A source close to Mariah Carey has confirmed to Access Hollywood that the she’s engaged to Nick Cannon.

Reps for both singers were unavailable for comment. The couple sent the rumor mill into overdrive when 38-year-old Mariah (with Nick on her arm) was seen sporting a dazzling new piece of bling on her ring finger at the after party for her Tribeca film, “Tennessee,” in New York. When asked at the party what he loved about Mariah, 27-year-old Nick gave a one-word answer. “Everything,” he told People. Up until recently, Mariah had been romantically linked to music executive Mark Sudack. However, she never confirmed the romance. Mariah was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 – 1998. Nick was previously engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year. This will be the first marriage for the “Drumline” star.

Well, all I have to say is that I know my Mimi and she’s most certainly not engaged to Nick Cannon! “Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear” as grandma B. Scott would say!

Love muffins, People magazine has given a sneak peek into their 100 Most Beautiful People. The person that tops the list is not one that most people would expect.

She’s on the cover of this year’s Most Beautiful issue, but Hudson doesn’t owe her famous sun-kissed looks to thousands of hours logged at a spa. “I don’t even remember the last time I got a manicure,” says the 29-year-old mom to son Ryder, 4. “I even got to the point where I started waxing my own legs because I don’t have the time. I’d rather be home with Ryder sitting there waxing my legs. I haven’t gotten a facial in a million years. I don’t do those kinds of things. And when I do, I always think, ‘I should do this more often.’”

New Music Release: Estelle - Shine

Love muffins, I just purchased Estelle’s album Shine, released April 29th, to let you know if it is worth spending your dollars for a 12 track album. I never was really into her music, but I thought that I would give her a try.

Estelle’s sound, explains John Legend, “is a unique blend of hip hop, pop, reggae and soul,” explains Legend. “She has a special voice, unlike any other voice out there in mainstream music, and she can really write. She writes hip lyrics with unforgettable melodies. I recognized that in her when I first worked with her in 2004.” He continues, “I’m excited and honored to have Estelle as the first artist on my label, Homeschool Records. I believe the world is going to fall in love with her album, as I already have. Estelle is an amazing talent, and she’s going to do big things.”

In addition, sparks also flew between Estelle and Will.i.am when they recorded the album’s first single, “Wait A Minute (Just A Touch)” anchored by an experimental spin on Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You”. The pair also came up with funk-infused “American Boy,” the second single after Legend requested “a hit!” Of the song, which features Kanye West, she laughs, “I gave the ladies and anthem!”

Mario & Karina Still Together!

Yesterday, People reported that the orgasmic Mario Lopez and Karina Smirnoff were no longer a couple. However, Usmagazine is reporting a different story.

Despite a people.com report, Dancing With the Stars’ Karina Smirnoff says she and beau Mario Lopez haven’t called it quits. “You know, everybody goes through ups and downs in their relationships,” she told Usmagazine.com in a telephone interview Tuesday. “That’s kind of a given, and it’s normal. But Mario and I are going strong.” Lopez, she said, “is a great guy, and I support him 100 percent, and I know he supports me. “We are totally fine - and I’m not moving out!” she added. “You guys will be the first to know if I’m moving out.”

Where do these rumors come from? I still wonder if that big rock on her ring finger did indeed come from Mario himself even though she insists that she isn’t engaged. Thoughts?

Update: According to People.com, Paula said her strange response to Jason Castro’s performance was an “honest mistake.” Abdul admits she’d written notes on both Castro and another performer on the same card, and in the end, was simply “confused” as she gave her feedback.

Love muffins, I was rolling with laughter after watching Paula read her comment about Jason Castro’s second performance that hasn’t even happened yet on live television. My tummy is hurting so hard right now! Jesus take the wheel! I knew that they actually performed before the live show, but I didn’t realized that it could be scripted! Thoughts?
