Love muffins, again I want to thank you for your support. I want to give a super duper special shout-out to the splendiferous Necole, the blogger of NecoleBitchie.com. She wrote an amazing post today regarding my recent collaboration with Concreteloop that went to the left and is no longer in effect. As you know my weekly CL feature was pulled from their rotation due to negative homophobic comments and complaints regarding me. Necole said it best, “As much as I appreciate my readers and what they have to say, at the end of the day…this is my sh*t and I will be damned if I let some commenters dictate what I post”. Amen! Let me tell ya’ll something. I think I better make one thing clear right now. As much as I appreciate my readers and what they have to say, at the end of the day…this is my sh*t and I will be damned if I let some commenters dictate what I post. What people don’t realize is less than 5% of the people that visit the site on a daily basis actually comment. So why would I let 5% of my readers dictate what I post on my blog. Last time I checked, people create blogs to express their personal opinions on the content they post. We are totally biased because we post on things we like and may trash things that we don’t like.

I have a special place in my heart for B. Scott. He not only has to deal with the struggles of being bi-racial but he has to deal with being an openly gay man. I’m sure he has faced many obstacles growing up but he has learned to accept himself and has taken what God gave him and ran with it. 13,000+ Subscribers on youtube? That’s big. I’m sure for every reader that CL would have lost, they would have gained 10 more.

Love you! Love you! I just watched your Stop the Hate in 08 video and used it to start up a discussion about homophobia with my 7 year old son. I was introduced to you by CL a few months ago at a time when I was really hurting in life and needed a distraction. Your distraction soon turned into lessons on sincere love and respect and friendship and craziness and fun and so many many positive things. You have made a huge impact on my life and I’m a better, stronger woman because of it. I’ve said it many times before, but THANK YOU. You’re my saving grace. So, when I hear about all this drama and ridiculous stupidity coming from my own brothers and sisters over at CL, I’m just shocked. (Really, I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised. Living in So. Cali in a very diverse neighborhood has made me forget that the rest of the world is very unfortunately close-minded) But how could anyone have a problem with your shining light and the joy you bring with your words? It saddens me that they’d be so blind. Like you said, for someone to have such hatred toward homosexuals, or really, any general group of people, shows a lack of self-esteem. These are the people who are most in need of your insight. I wish they would just sit back and listen to your encouraging words. So….I ask my son what he thinks of you. He says you’re funny and weird. I tell him him it’s nicer to say “different”. lol (We already talked about you being “different” because you’re “pretty like a girl!” and say Love Muffin all the time. I explained some people are just like that! He said, Oh ok!”) I told him about some people being mean to you because they thought you were different and he got upset! He said “So what if he looks like a girl?! He’s funny! He’s not hurting anybody…” I explained some people just don’t like different and he said that’s just like “those Martin Luther King days, huh?” I told him yes, that’s exactly what it’s like. Those folks didn’t like Black people and now these Black folks, who should know better, don’t like people like B.Scott. They forgot what Dr. King meant when he said “content of their character.” My son said the hate must have made you sad and suggested I send you some chocolate! (Gotta love him. Chocolate is my personal remedy when I’m feeling down! ) So, for me, stopping the hate in ‘08 will begin at home. None of my children will ever hate. They will be filled with love and will know how to love EVERYONE. I love you B. Keep ya head up…just like you taught me. Double Kisses!

Take me higher lord! An Oregon transgendered man who used to be a woman says he is five-months pregnant! Thomas Beatie, who’s expecting a girl, reveals to The Advocate his story about being becoming pregnant.

Beatie is legally registered as a male and lives with his wife, Nancy. In order to become pregnant he stopped taking his testosterone injections, and the conception was achieved through home insemination.

“Sterilization is not a requirement for sex reassignment, so I decided to have chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy but kept my reproductive rights,” he writes in the article for the gay and lesbian magazine. “How does it feel to be a pregnant man? Incredible,” he adds. “Despite the fact that my belly is growing with a new life inside me, I am stable and confident being the man that I am.” Beatie is expected to give birth in July. In the short article he also speaks about the ostracism he has suffered as a result of his condition. “Health care professionals have refused to call me by a male pronoun or recognize Nancy as my wife. Receptionists have laughed at us. Friends and family have been unsupportive; most of Nancy’s family doesn’t even know I’m transgender.”

Love muffins, I recently saw College Road Trip and it was a cute little movie for the whole family. Melanie (Raven Symone) is ready for her independence and a road trip to Georgetown University with her friends is what she needed to help her embark on her newly defined independence. Except one thing arises. Her father (Martin Lawerence) is expecting his daughter to go to a college of his choice 40 miles away from home instead of a college 300 miles away. So what does he do? He decides to go on a road trip with his daughter instead of her going with her friends. Everything goes wrong on this trip that you would expect from any Disney movie, but that didn’t faze the children in the audience because they giggled at every fall and weird noise!
