March 26, 2008 The Queen Bee Is Mad!
Every since word broke that the compelling story of The Notorious BIG was being created into a feature film the response has been very mixed. Last week, various reports confirmed that Naturi Naughton (formerly of 3LW) is in fact playing Lil’ Kim in the upcoming film and sources are reporting that the Queen Bee is not amused. Lilkimzone says that Lil Kim is not happy about the selection of Naturi Naugton portraying her. Apparently Kim was asked to be involved in the selection process and gave her blessings to a few well known actresses who auditioned for the role before the film studio turned around to make the offer to Naturi. They also reporting that that in addition to the disapproval of Naturi, Kim’s loyal fans have taken it upon themselves to petition against the film studio. Personally I don’t think Naturi really looks like Kim, but who knows maybe she will make a great Queen Bee! Thoughts?

Naturi looks way better than Lil Kim ever has, so she should shut her mis piggy trap and be happy that the studio selected someone that at least looks like a human being and not another Michael Jackson in the making, which Lil’ Kim is already 50% on her way to becoming. She’s bleached her skin, had her boobs, nose, lips and god knows what else done. I say Naturi is too good to play Kim, they should cast Miss Piggy the puppet.

HOT DAMN HOE HERE WE GO AGAIN! You know I am really sick and tired of people talking smack about Kim. So fucking what she has changed her appearance! It’s her body she can do WHATEVER SHE wants! The fact of the matter is… She is the BIGGEST FEMALE RAPPER of all time. She has sold more than Missy, Mc Lyte, Trina, Eve, EVERYONE! Give respect where respect is due!

I think that they actually may have made a good choice. She may be able to portray her well and it should not be based soley on looks. Give Naturi a chance, who knows acting may be her calling!

Well, this comes as no suprise. Someone who has body dismorphic issues not wanting someone who isn’t what she dreams herself to be. Kim probably wanted Michael Michelle to play her. Considering Lil Kim doesnt even look like Lil Kim, she’s kind of taken herself out of the equasion..GET OVER IT KIM and stop with the bad eyebrows and swollen cheeks and Jay Leno chin and drop some hot lyrics!

The Former Queen Bee should be thankful that someone actually WANTS to play her role! I HIGHLY doubt she’s going to get some Academy Award winning actress to play her. I say as long as Naturi, or whoever plays her, has her swagger, it shouldn’t be a big deal. It shows how petty she is by acting so childish over a role that I doubt is going to be major. I won’t be surprised if this is a “straight to DVD” movie or a “here today, DVD tomorrow” movie. *SMH*

I agree with alot of the other comments. I think Kim has color complex and body issues so she is offended that someone who is dark and has african american features is portraying her. Naturi has acted on stage and hasn’t even been given an opportunity before Kim is objecting. they need to give the girl a chance.

when I first heard Naturi was playing Kim I was like OK…. I do see where their goin with it though since its Kim from back in the day. I know she has Hairspray on her resume so lets give her a chance and let her do her. I seriously doubt a big actress would’ve jumped on this role.
And as for biggest female rapper in my opinion, I’d give it to Queen Latifah. Though she didn’t stay in that genre and have the sales to back it up, the Queen is killing it by branching out.

Lil Kim is a woman who has been very unhappy with the self that God gave her for years–obviously. I think Kim’s main disagreement with the selection of Naturi is that naturi is dark skinned. Lil Kim seems to hate everything about who she really is (which is odd because she wasn’t ugly to begin with) and one can’t help but notice she’s magically like 3 shades lighter than she was when she first.
Naturi is a good actress, obviously. I can’t imagine who Kim wanted to play her–probably Rene Zelwiger or Nicole Kidman–I don’t think Kim’s warped mind and warped perception of herself is above it.

iono im not sure if naturi wud do a great job, it remains to be seen… but their is big possibility that Kim is mad b/c she didnt get her say in that selection (or that Naturi is dark)… & its not just about kim having plastic surgery its HOW MUCH!!..lips, cheeks, chin, boobs, bleached skin.. she changed her whole appearance from lookin like a darker skinned black girl to a pale skinned asian woman…wtf.. now i STANS 4 lil kim but i refuse to see her w/ rose colored glasses…. she obviously does have issues b/c she changed her appearance in the 1st place..duh!!… & when white ppl do this we say the same thing just like that lady who went on Oprah & her face is completely plastic & disgusting… it doesnt matter what color she is b/c she obviously hs esteem issues either way….

The funny thing is that she gave her blessing to a few well known actresses to play her…and? The studio don’t need her permission or blessing or ANYTHING. They gon’ make tha movie regardless.

Be it a black or white celebrity, trust you’re gonna be called out on your crap if you come out looking like a completely different person and a ugly one on top of that. People talk about Kim the way they do because she “was” a very beautiful woman who has managed to transform herself into something less than human. No one is hating on her, least of all me, because I don’t want Kim’s looks, nor the fame and money that she’s gotten by rapping about sucking dicks, getting her pussy licked, and dressing like a cheap hoe every where she goes. There is nothing splendiferous about her. When are we going to have some positive female rappers on the scene again? Thank goodness for Missy Elliot.

In response to Alex!…no, a black person puts on a blond weave, blue contacts and lightens her skin a few shades, cuts off half her nose–they want to be white. don’t get it twisted and don’t act like you don’t know. Regarding white people getting plastic surgery, there are just as many white people who don’t believe in plastic surgery for the purposes of vanity and warped self image as there are blacks. And people say plenty about both.
