i think the lewinksky scandal has more to do with bill than with hillary, sure shes his wife but she wasnt in the wrong, so how could that ruin her credibility and what did they honestly think chelsea would say to that? of course she would defend her mother

Chelsea’s response is very approprate. Monica Lewinsky has nothing to do with her ability to serve as president. It is a personal family issue that should never have been made into a public spectacle. BEsides if you want to ask the question the appropriate person to ask if either Hillary or Bill because they are the two people involved. I HIGHLY doubt that Hillary sat down and expressed her feelings to a very young Chelsea (at the time). Let me just tell you that if the tables were turned and someone asked Barack Obama anything related to his personal family life it would be on. But, we all know that would never happen to Mr. Untouchable!

Yes, I know the chosen one would never be in that situation…he is perfection. Oh yes, oh great one you have never sinned. Your supporters are heaven sent. There will be a change in Washington….SNORE!!!!!

Since the question was about the senator’s credibility, I’d say as a citizen and voter of this country, it was a valid question. I think if the student asking the question would have mentioned the Bosnia comments that were “mispoken” then there would be less of an emotional uproar regarding whether the question was a low blow or not. I could care less about these candidates and their extra-marital affairs, but if this woman is going to be on the campaign trail for her mother – after all the Clintons have been thru – she either has to get with it and practice more classy responses or get off the trail if she is going to respond like that because this only add fuels to the anti-Clinton voters out there.

Also (sorry for the long post), I’ve read a lot of articles, analysis and blogs this week that spoke to Senator Clinton coming across like she is entitled to the Democratic nomination, and to me, Chelsea kind of displayed that some air of entitlement with a hint of arrogance as well. This type of behavior only makes Sen. Clinton look less attractive as a candidate. All in all, Chelsea needs to have a meeting with the Clinton administration’s PR rep because her response was another in an increasing line of hiccups for the Clinton camp.

You know its obvious alot of the commenters are Obama supporters who know good and well if they were asked a question like that about thier family they would respond in an irritated way as well. The question was unneccessary and inappropriate. If it was to Hillary I could see but Chelsea had nothing to do with that. Haters!

Chelsea missed the point entirely. She shouls still be reminded that her dad’s little faux pas led to impeachment hearings… no small matter for a sitting president. She was responding to the inguiry from a purely gossip angle rather than a broader approach. Typical Clinton tactic

The LIE, oops, misstatement about the BOSNIA trip has hurt her credibility more than the Lewinsky debachery (although I woulda loved a yes or no answer on the real). What other MISSTATEMENTS have been made that there are not tapes of to show any different?

I can see how that would throw her off a little but it’s definitely a relevant question. If she’s gearing up to run for President then she’ll need to learn how to speak to the public and not defaulting to being “ghetto”. The problem with the Clintons is their sense of entitlement. They feel as if they deserve for Hillary to win and I guess they feel as if grown woman Chelsea deserves to be treated with kid gloves. If she’s getting ghetto now imagine how she’d respond to a question about her mother lying about all of her “experience”. I apologize, I mean she “misspoke”. That’s a good one, I’ll have to start using that one. If I said it once I’ve said it a million times. Hillary is lying her butt off about all of this experience she has. The only experience she has is in the Senate and being a first lady. If she would’ve just come clean and not tried to pull the shade over everyone’s eyes then I’d have more respect for her. But to come out of the gate talking about she has 35 years of experience and she KNOWS that’s a lie shows just how much respect she has for everyone’s intelligence. Although, I have to admit a lot of people are buying that bs. She was asked to prove that she went to all of these “meetings” as the first lady and she can’t produce anything substantial. That’s why she “misspoke”. People are finally making her prove her outrageous experience claims. AMEN.

But the Clintons have proven themselves to be liars, cheats and underhanded many times over. Unfortunately, Chelsea seems to have been passed that sense of entitlement so watch out for her to run for office sometime really soon. Why not, she’s a Clinton she deserves it. The sad part, you’ll have people rallying around her for not other reason than her last name. Just like they’re doing for Hillary.

i can see both sides of the situation. on one hand the question wasn’t trying to get inside the whole clinton scandal WAY back in the day, it was just asking if it effects her mother’s credibility. it seems a fair question but on the flip side of it (chelsea’s side) that may be a touchy subject with her and she may not want to speak on it so the “it’s none of your business” anwser is probably a default answer to anything referring to her parents and monica lewinsky because whether she’s in the public eye or not, that is a humiliating situation (her dad and monica) to be in. so, i don’t the think it was a bad question but i also don’t think it was a bad answer either. it’s a q & a forum meaning ANY question can come chelsea’s way but at the same time ANY answer can be thrown back. i think the correct “credibility” question would be her saying she went to iraq (i think it was iraq) and got of the plane in the midst of all this gunfire and warfare and her life was just on the line but then the video of what REALLY happened got leaked all over the place. lol. that shit’s funny to me and that’s something that will effect her credibility.

Ms. Clinton is a reflection of the arrogance always displayed by the Clinton Royals. Chelsea should not be in the public light or campaigning for her mother if she expects to be spared any questions. Do the people attending her so called “rallies” given a list of subjects to stay away from? It seems to me Chelsea believes she is campaigning in wonderland! For pity’s sake the woman is older than 25!!! Get real Ms. Chelsea you are not ” Princess Chelsea” of the Royal House of Clintonians. You as a young, mature and supposedly liberated and educated woman who should be strong, savy and intelligent when asked any kind of question. Your Mom is not running for prom queen!!!
