im not a hata but i hate this song! To me Solonge sucks musically. She should let Beyonce guide her to stardom. it sounds like a church song. I just really DO NOT like it. Better luck next time Solonge.

I love this 60’s Motown feel this song has! Solange is a great songwriter and is quite the vocalist (listen to some of her past tracks) This is a very catchy tune.

ok i just listened to God given name and i would like to take the part about solonge sucking musically back. sorry solo! i guess i just dont like the other song. BUT God given name is JAMMIN i really feel it. She spitting fire and curse words. I never saw the Beyonce comparison, except in some photographs. I like I decided, it’s okay after 1 listen. But I love God given name, it did sound like she way high but I liked that. It sounded real, unrehearsed, like it took one take and the lyrics are the shizz. I’ll be on the lookout for more.

Okay, I have listened to this song SEVERAL more times and I am really, really, REALLY trying to like it. I am just sorry, I hate her singing. The old school feel is nice, and I like the beat, but that SCREAMING that is suppose to be singing….Oh no!! Jesus took the wheel and crashed into a tree! Sorry Solo. Sounds like you are straining your voice on this one. I actually think Kelly Roland could have sung this song. What about Crisette Michele (did I spell that right?)?

“I Decided” I LOVE THIS SONG! I’m from the girl groups era & this beat is a “Motown/Supremes” beat. Brings back old memories from 1963-64. Yes, we wore those clothes and did those dances performed in the “I Decided” video.
