Here is a rare 1998 interview with Destiny’s Child when the group consisted of the four original members. Fast forward ten years, and we see how much things have changed. Beyoncé seems so shy and reserved here, while Latavia and Letoya dominate the interview. Even though the line-up changed, DC3 (Beyoncé, Kelly, & Michelle) went on to become the biggest selling girl group of all time. Beyoncé has also had a very successful solo career in her own right as a singer/writer/producer/actress and she also has many major endorsement deals. You will see Beyoncé on the big screen in the near future playing the role of the legendary Etta James in the film Cadillac Records!

I would like to take Beyonce seriously as an actress if she played someone who doesn’t sing. Can she just act for once and not sing? Better yet, maybe she should just sing. I don’t know if I can take 2hrs of Beyonce talking. Nothing against her, but her acting is really….um…..deadpan.

Well I’m surely glad she went solo, cause she’s now a living legend! She will definitely be considered one of the greatest singers and performers among the best. Go girl! That was the best concert I’ve ever attended.
I think back then they were so young and she’s such a shy person that she probably didn’t feel like she could go solo. But I guess as you grow and develop in that industry, you see yourself going in different directions.

They all grew up. Things change and they are not little girls anymore. It seemed that Latavia and Letoya had different plans and when the time came, Michelle, Kelly and Bee had different plans.

Awwww, everybody has their original noses!! 10 yrs and not much improvement in her speech, proves you can’t have it all.
