Its so weird in a way...back in about 2004 I used to go to a night hangout spot called the Sugar Bar, which is owned by none other than Asford & Simpson...I no longer hang out there, but they had open mic night...she came there with her peeps...signed up to sing onstage, and she was the only one who did a country music song that SHE herself wrote (it was an original tune she did). And this was BEFORE she was big...I remember it like it was yesterday. People at the Sugar Bar knew that she would make it big. But yep, that is the same Rissi Palmer who signed up for open mic at the Sugar Bar on Thursday night in 2004 (or around there). Oh yeahhhh!! You know something?
