Perhaps I need to register on CL, I don't know. Anyway, I am so happy that Darian replied as he did. Now, I can't identify with any of the people he discusses - I'm glow-in-the-dark white, 57, straight, married and female, so I have not gone through what non-whites and/or gays face every day. It wasn't until I was in my 20's that I even had much contact with non-whites other than the Mexican kids who went to my high school, but I didn't even know any of them because we weren't in any of the same classes. Working in the real world opened my eyes to the glorious diversity of the human race. As for the e-ballers, especially the ones who posted on CL, I could perhaps understand their anger if flamboyant males were ALL that were shown on CL, as if there were no other type of black male. But, as part of the vastness of the human experience, B. Scott is an interesting, caring, entertaining and inspiring person who reaches out to all kinds of people.
