Jam or Slam It? Michelle Williams - Stop This Car (Full Version)

As we know Michelle Williams has finished recording her third studio album which is scheduled for release in early May. This Destiny’s Child member is rumored to have collaborated with Darkchild, Stargate and Timbaland on her upcoming project and recently confirmed through her official MySpace page that her lead single will be “Stop This Car”. In addition to the full version “Stop This Car” that was just sent to me, clips for “Break The Dawn” and “Unexpected” have recently been leaked to the internet as well. So the question is are we going to jam or slam “Stop This Car” today?

   I think the original Stargate track would’ve appealed more to a broader pop audience, but it’s a good mellow song…not too sure about first single though. I would hope she would come out a little bit harder. I do know that the video better take place in a car damnit! The lyrics are way to blatant to try some creative, hidden meaning, “Flashing Lights”/”Feedback” type of ish.

   It sounds like the whole song to me, but it does not sound like a lead single. I agree something more harder would be a better choice. I like Michelle & will be supporting her either way. Loving her voice, good personality too.

   Slam… I think Michelle has a great voice as does Kelly and Beyonce. The difference between them is that star “IT” factor… Not to rant and rant about destinys child. But in that group, Beyonce’s star qualities brought out the stars of kelly and michelle. I however feel without that power dynamic that is Beyonce. Michelle and Kelly come off as very beautiful girls with beautiful voices. But as we know in the industry a beautiful voice does not make for a beautiful career. So this is a cute single. Would be a great lead single for Brandy who I can hear killing this song (she also has that “IT” factor). But just a beautiful filler song on an album I hope has a hit song for Michelle…

   This version is much different then the snippet that was leaked months ago. I love Michelle, but to be honest, this version is not doing anything for me. I hope this isn’t the final track. The previous track, which is on her myspace as well, is MUCH, MUCH better!!! Again, I hope this isn’t the final version… she needs to stick with the previous production.

   WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PREVIOUS BEAT THAT THE SONG HAD? IT SOUNDED COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM THE SNIPPET THT WAS REALEASED. HOPEFULLY THIS IS JUST A REMIX AND THE ORIGINAL WILL LEAK SOON. IF THIS IS THE ORIGINAL THEN SLAM AND IF ITS A REMIX AND THE REAL ONE IS GONNA HAVE THE SAME BEAT AS THE SNIPPET THEN JAM. LOl

    WHy did they change the beat?! The original beat was SLAMMIN, this beat brings the song down and makes it VERY mediocre…
