February 29, 2008 Jam It or Slam It: Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake
Madonna is set to release her eleventh studio album entitled Hard Candy on April 29th and her first is said to be the Timbaland and Justin Timberlake produced track, “4 Minutes To Save The World”. The full song recently debuted on a French radio station and I wanted to see what you thought. Obviously this is a radio rip and it isn’t the best quality song so it may be hard to judge but I think you’ll get the gist. So here’s the question…Jam It or Slam It?

YES, LORD! I really feel like Madonna is about to cross-over into the urban arena on this new album, y’all! All I needed to see was Madonna, Timberlake, and Timbo and you just know it’s gonna be fiya! Too bad that annoying French dude was all over the track but as soon as I heard that beat I was dippin’ it low like Christina Milian! Can’t wait to bump to this in the club! DEFINITELY JAM IT!

I love Madonna, but im noy sure if people will embrace a hip hop sound coming from her, even with Timbo and Justin

I hate Madonna just as much as I hate Hitler. That said, this song is AMAZING. I hate to admit it and I am really ashamed. In fact, I’m downright miserable that I actually like a song from a fag hag.

I really like Madonna, but I’m not feelin’ this song. It’s generic to me. Nothing new…just like every other Tim and JT song out there. NEXT…

It’s a fun track. Madonna never came out and specifically declared she was doing a “hip-hop” album, so the inclusion of Justin is forgivable. This is still very pop. Also, this wouldn’t be the first time she did something “urban”. Back in ‘94 she released “Bedtime Stories” which was heavily produced by Babyface, Dave “Jam” Hall and Dallas Austin. The thing about Madonna is that she is able to do albums that sound very distinct from one another, and although she’s using Timbo and possibly Pharrell, I guarantee this new joint won’t sound anything like “Justified”.

It’s like watching my grandma trying to “back that thang up”. I’m not feeling it and I have no-love for J.T. I hope he doesn’t do Madonna, like he did Janet.

I adore Madonna, but not feelin this really.
I think Justin outshines her. She sound’s a bit lost on the track really…. And I don’t think her performing to this will look that great really. It’ll be hung up video over again…

LOL @ brwneizs. My thoughts exactly!
I LOVE Madonna and have fell in love with everything she has ever put out instantly…until now. Maybe it’ll grow on me after a few more listens. But I don’t think so.

Oh yeah, AND it sounds like this is Justin Timberlake’s song and she’s just doing background. Not a good choice for a first single. What ever happened with that “Candy Shop” song? That was hot!
If you’re reading this B.Scott, I LOVE the new layout!

The music is fierce! It’s a little Brazilian carnival feel to it, bad ass highschool battle of the bands blood in it.
This is a stone cold hit.

SLAM IT!
She is just trying to fit into the urban arena and she shouldn’t do that just to sell records or become popular in the US again. The beat is hot but not for her.

and for all the people mentioning her trying to be “urban”… she was “urban” in the 80s, and in the 90’s with bedtime stories. shes been on it for years, get a clue.

I was expecting a lot more. She’s drowned out by the horns. You can find it at http://www.zshare.net/audio/83042195d1c1b6/ too. Hopefully she’ll have better songs on the album.

damn, i love Madonna and i really wanted to love this but… not feeling it. it sounds over-produced to me, and there’s too much Timberlake and his dumbass beatboxing.

Wack! Justin’s vocals drown Madonna’s out of the water. Remember when she worked with Britney? Another lame song. She should just stick to being her instead always trying to ride off the coattails of hot artists of the moment.

SUCKS! She can’t write lyrics for shiz. She is talking over the track. I could write better lyrics to that beat.
Plus, adding Justin to the actual song just says that she needs help.
Timbaland production is TIRED.

I Love the song, its better than anything on Janets new cd except “Feedback”, There’s noting lame about this track and nothing to be embarrassed about liking a madonna song or even her. Shes’ a bad ass bitch and she ain’t trying to be anything or anyone but herself.
She’s always loved hip hop and r&b, she’s done it before.
So I can’t wait til 4/29 for the album and to see her on Rock n’ roll hall of fame!
WORK IT BITCH!!!!

^^^^^^ madonna is cool but to say this song is better than every song on janets cd is just ludacris, u need to clean the wax out of your ears, however i do think this song will grow on me in time, but don’t diss janet, negro, i have to slap u for that one

The FG Dj radio version of 4 Minutes was a remix, they won’t air it anymore.
source : Warner France
Interesting that it’s a remix by timbaland according to Warner Frace.. I wonder how different the actually version is. The one thing that kinda conflicted was that the song was reported to open with the Lyrics “The Road to Heaven is Paved with good intentions. In this leak it’s near the end. I like this regardless

there has been alot of talk about this song. Alot of people are saying this is not the real version just a remix. I dont know, but The song is Ok. It would need a verrrry HOT video to be succesful. If not then its gonna flop.

Madonna better work! To all her haters, she has been experiementing with urban sounds since “Get Into the Groove,” produced by a black man, Erotica (the whole album is nothing but 90’s house, jazz, and hip-hop elements), and Bedtime Stories. Miss Madge is back and working the nay sayers for blood!

Slam this. It’s nothing but Flo’Rida’s new song “Elevator” with extra horns and some bongos. She may be a legend, but no one’s exempt from mistakes.

JAM IT!!!!!!!!! Yes, it sounds like Timbaland’s style, but it works. I just got back from Here bar in weho, and they played it!! It was still the low quality version, but it was so FUN hearing it loud!! It’s catchy and dancy. I loved Confessions, and I’m sure this will be just as fun, but no disco this time around! Reinvention baby!
