February 25, 2008 Emotional Morning On The View!
The ladies of The View got pretty emotional when the topic of how Co-Host Whoopi Goldberg was snubbed by the Oscars last night! The Oscar winner herself was the first woman and first person of color to host the Academy Awards, yet she was left out of the montage of Oscar hosts on Sunday. Check out the video!

WOW, I feel so bad. You can see her disappointment in this video. Whether she was included or not, that takes nothing away from her accomplishments.

It makes me sad that Whoopi was so disappointed by this oversight. I wish I could sit her down and tell her what she means to me and others. Ms. Goldberg is in the upper echelon of talented actors in this world. It was inappropriate for the Academy to exclude her from this montage considering her history with the Oscars. If I’m not mistaken, she brought the telecast up from a ratings slump during her four times hosting the show. And they need to get a time machine and give her the Oscar for “The Color Purple”.

Awww, Whoopi! This definitely made me a teary-eyed. I’m glad to see that they stick up for one another despite their, often very public, differences!! That show of commaraderie was heart-warming.

I love Whoopi! Since Jumpin Jack Flash..All her movies. She was the first Black woman in movies that I admired. She is the best and she gets little recognition. The Color Purple! Don’t get me started..Not only do I LOVE her new hairdo! But I honestly think she is a beautiful woman..
