I haven't had an opportunity to research your list of campaign tactics but I will. It is surprising because I have read many articles during this election and well frankly these things aren't being listed and for the New York Times to support her I find it doubtful but perhaps your sources are better than theirs (citing McCain fiasco :-) last week)

I will do my homwework later today and follow up.

But, I did want to clear one thing up. IF Barack wins I will note vote Republican!!! I could never support their candidate because I don't support their conservative views and I think that is another difference between Hillary and Obama supporters. He has been made out to be this untouchable god in the media and Hillary is being presented in a very different way. I have heard really offensive things said by many (some on this forum) and while she may not be squeaky clean I still think her political career is impressive.

If Barack wins I will choose not to vote in the election period. I luckily live in NY which will undoubtedly go Democratic anyway! I will be back to post later about the tactics used on both sides.

I noticed that but to be clear I never called you a name. As a matter of fact, I've enjoyed this whole "debate". I like it when people can provide reasons for their opinions and as a strong woman myself I have respect for other strong women, even if they're wrong (that's a joke :)). I would post some links to sites that provide articles on some of her tactics but I don't know if B. Scott will allow that so here are some suggestions for things you can research:

1. Suppressing votes in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada
2. Dirty Campaign money
3. Lying on Barack position on a womans choice intentionally
4. Violating campaign laws
5. Changing her views when talking to different groups of people.

However, the REAL reason I will not support her are the following:

1. Bill Clinton Comparing Barack Obama to Jesse Jackson ( I was just personally offended by this. What are we all alike to him?
2. Hillary's strategy from the beginning was to turn Barack into the "Black Candidate". To me, that is just plain racist. While I am not calling her racist per se, the fact that she wants to envoke "racist fears" in the masses as to voting for a black candidate is just offensive. This by the way is coming directly from someone in her campaign (well maybe not anymore LOL). But what is she saying, we're good enough to vote for her but that's it. We're not intelligent enough to do anything else? I personally can not get pass that. Notice, that once she realized that she/Bill really offended a lot of black folks is when she really started to court the latino voters. It's like we're nothing but demographics to her. Very insincere.

As I said before, I'm not that big of a Barack fan but I just can't vote for someone who doesn't think I'm as "good" as they are. Also, to be fair it's possible that Barack has some dirty tactics of his own but I didn't research it. I'll leave that to you :)

It's sad but I feel the same about Barack as you do about Hillary. If by some chance she gets the nomination it will be the first time I vote Republican. However, I will say that there is something really positive about this whole campaign. People are really getting out there to vote. I've always been disappointed that Black people in particular never went out and represented ourselves (and then wondered why the politicans never cared about the issues that are important to us). If it took Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama running against each other, I'll take it. I just hope that this continues. Take care.

Keena:

I am more than old enough to remember the Clinton era...older than I would like to admit 33 is knocking at the door hard :-)

I think it is clear we agree to disagree but as for name calling people through some shade my way and I must defend myself. My intellect, education and class was called into question and that is not acceptable in a public forum.

As you guys say the race is over but my support will be with Hillary until the end. My only HOPE is that Obama can beat McCain because if not then we are in a hell of a lot of trouble in 2009. My vote won't go to Obama as the Democratic nominee but I leave it in the hands of the same people who put Bush in office not once but twice. My prayers are with us all.

My one final question is can someone outline for me the dirty campaign tactics Hillary Clinton herself has used? Please do not list the picture of Obama in Africa. I would like to look further into the accusations and see if there is any truth or link to Hillary.

LOL, that's funny. I haven't been on the Fox news channel but I guess it's not hard to come to that conclusion. I'd be surprised if the majority of people didn't feel that way. But I stand by my opinion that it's unprofessional to cry on the campaign trail. You're welcomed to disagree.

As far as you disagreeing with my statement that a lot of black people support the Clintons well that's your perspective. It's not a fact by any means. Please note, that when I say the Clintons I'm referring to both Bill and Hillary (plural). I don't know how old you are but I remember that time in history very well. While Bill has lost a lot of cool points with his over zealousness in his wife's campaign I can't believe you don't remember how heavily he was supported each time he's ran for President. It's just been since Hillary has been running that's she's alienated a lot of her black supporters. But I digress, we'll never see eye to eye on this. However, since it's clear that we're looking at different perspectives your name calling is clearly unnecessary. Whether you want to admit it or not the crying looks bad. If Barack started crying, I'd say the same thing about him. I'm just really disappointed in her being a woman and top contender for the white house, crying. It's like a really, really bad joke as a matter of fact I think I remember someone saying the reason a woman won't be President is because of PMS or something. Not saying she was PMS, but seriously crying.... while running for President....really. She's definitely not helping the next woman who wants to run.

It's funny, because people want to say that the reason people are not voting for her is because she's a woman but the truth is it's because she's Hillary Clinton. If you recall Hillary was dominating this race a year ago. Her being a woman NEVER came into play. It's been since she's been losing that people are crying this. However, you have to ask yourself. If all these people supported her in the beginning why did they all switch over to Barack? Could it be because of her? Her campaign tactics? If I'm hearing you correctly you think it has nothing to do with her but it all boils down to the fact that she's a woman. I have a news flash for you, WOMEN aren't voting for her either. In my opinion, when she started with the dirty campaign tactics it reminded people of the President we have now and NO ONE wants a repeat of this so it was just the first of many blunders she's made. GWB came from a political dynasty and Hillary does as well. Personally, I'd rather not have this happen again. I mean who's next to run? Chelsea? You simply can't dismiss her past. She has been accused of criminal dealings, comes from a Political dynasty and has run a terrible campaign. Even after all this, you still think people are turned off by her because she's a woman? I think that in order to make that argument you'd need a woman who didn't come with as much baggage as Hillary Clinton. Face it, there's a lot of reasons not to like her. None of it has to do with her being a woman.

Also, I agree with you, I definitely don't think Obama perfect by any means. I'm sure whatever skeletons he has in his closet will be coming out very soon. However, since Hillary's past dealings are clear, it's definitely clear that she's not above doing business under the table. Honestly, I think this campaign has come down to do we go with the devil we know? Or do we become uncharacteristicly optimistic and hope this new guy can do better? People seem to be choosing the later. Also, after having GWB in office for 8 years it just becomes clear that ANYBODY can be President. You just have to pick the one you like.

Keena:

Your response came while I was composing my e-mail and your comment about being a fighter and crying is straight off of the Fox News Channel. Hoiw dare you say when a person can be emotional she didn't sob. She asked a personal question and respoinded with a personal response. Say what you will about Hillary don't make it an issue about crying it is incorrect and sexist.

Again might I add no one has addressed any of the issues of sexism I brought up, but that's ok we all have some HOMEWORK to do.

Keena, we know Obama is no saint either and his record isn't completely clear.
BTW I said your ignorance on the issue of the Clinton's and blacks in this country is clear. Bot that you are ignorant just unaware of the black support for the Clintons. First of all being from New York it is mostly blacks in this part of the country that support the Clinton's that is not the same in the South or the West. So your histroical perspective of the Clinton blacks relationship is highly questionable.

I believe Hillary and Obama are bot qualified candidates on almost every issue with the exception of Foreign plicy he admittedly has the least experience in this realm and given our current situation in regards to America and our allies as well as our enemies, this is a serious issue for me. HOPEfully, when and if he runs against McCain he can find a way to make some strides in this area because it will be very important.

To meanmina:

1. I've done my homework on BOTH candidates, that's why I said her 35 years of experience is bogus. She's running for President so with that being said, the only relevant experience is Political. I really could care less what she did in the Business sector. We're talking politics here. However, in case you didn't know Barack is ALSO a former Civil Rights lawyer and Harvard Law graduate.

2. She has been a Senator since 2000, Barack was a member of the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004 and then the US Senate since 2004. So again, in terms of actual POLITICAL experience there's little difference between them. However, I'll give you that being married to Bill has probably given her a lot of insight.

3. One of the reasons that the media seems to favor Barack has little to do with Barack himself but more to do with the general dislike of having another Clinton in office. I expect, that will all change when it's Obama vs. McCain. Face it, she does not have a squeaky clean record. She's the only first lady that's ever had to testify before a grand jury because of the Whitewater debacle (she's also had NUMEROUS criminal investigations done on her). As a matter of fact if you DO YOUR HOMEWORK you'd realize that she's been involved in shady dealings since 1979.

4. How can you be a fighter and cry? First of all, she's running for President of the United States. Any weak moments need to happen in closed doors. I mean, is she going to get frustrated and start crying in UN meetings? Think about it, what would happen if someone you worked with started crying at work. You'd think they need to get it together and be PROFESSIONAL!!! Doesn't matter where she was, she's losing terribly in her bid for President, the last thing she should do is show any weaknesses.

BTW, I'm going to follow in Barack's footsteps and ignore the fact that you called me "ignorant", I think I've stated my opinions and facts very clearly? If you are going to dispute the fact that Blacks have been supporting the Clintons (specifically Bill) then I just don't even want to go there. All I can say is do your homework. There's a lot of info out there on Hillary Clinton and most of it is not good. Vote for who you like, but make sure you have all the facts first. The real truth of the matter is that Hillary is no more POLITICALLY qualified than Barack. You can love her all you want, but stick to the facts.

To meanmina:

1. I’ve done my homework on BOTH candidates, that’s why I said her 35 years of experience is bogus. She’s running for President so with that being said, the only relevant experience is Political. I really could care less what she did in the Business sector. We’re talking politics here. However, in case you didn’t know Barack is ALSO a former Civil Rights lawyer and Harvard Law graduate.

2. She has been a Senator since 2000, Barack was a member of the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004 and then the US Senate since 2004. So again, in terms of actual POLITICAL experience there’s little difference between them. However, I’ll give you that being married to Bill has probably given her a lot of insight.

3. One of the reasons that the media seems to favor Barack has little to do with Barack himself but more to do with the general dislike of having another Clinton in office. I expect, that will all change when it’s Obama vs. McCain. Face it, she does not have a squeaky clean record. She’s the only first lady that’s ever had to testify before a grand jury because of the Whitewater debacle (she’s also had NUMEROUS criminal investigations done on her). As a matter of fact if you DO YOUR HOMEWORK you’d realize that she’s been involved in shady dealings since 1979.

4. How can you be a fighter and cry? First of all, she’s running for President of the United States. Any weak moments need to happen in closed doors. I mean, is she going to get frustrated and start crying in UN meetings? Think about it, what would happen if someone you worked with started crying at work. You’d think they need to get it together and be PROFESSIONAL!!! Doesn’t matter where she was, she’s losing terribly in her bid for President, the last thing she should do is show any weaknesses.

BTW, I’m going to follow in Barack’s footsteps and ignore the fact that you called me “ignorant”, I think I’ve stated my opinions and facts very clearly? You stated: "Obama supporters should know about having lack of control over who supports you because just last night he “denounced” Minister Farrakahn and only after Hillary called him on it did he actually reject his support."

'Denounce' is a much stronger word than 'reject' so your statement is rather idiotic as was Hillary's last night.

I don't think this is an issue of loyalty to the Clintons. You are playing yourself hard if you think Hillary's experience is only as a First Lady DO YOUR HOMEWORK? She worked with the Children's Legal Defense fund, she is a lawyer , ad she has been a senator longer than Obama. I think that the smear tactics are unfortunate but I don't necessarily believe these are Clinton tactics per se. Let's not even discuss how the media outlets have blatantly taken control over this election. Please wach the debates children....oher than maybe on health care Obama says the same thing Hillary does and might I add she always answers first. He is young, a wonderful "speaker", but experience on foreign policy PLEASE. WAKE UP already. If you choose to support someone you HOPE can do a good job and you HOPE can make change SO BE IT. But, don't try and knock Hilary down with that dirty politics foolishness. SHe is a fighter and if I respect that. As for crying as an effective tool she didn't cry at some huge debate it was a momnt of weakness for her in a coffee shop for God's sake ...mind you people have made disrespectful dolls of her portrayed as a nutcracker. IF some black voodoo doll was made of Obama people would be in an uproar. But, because she is a woman and bias against women isn't as important as African American's then suck it up!!! Keena support your man and I support my girl leave it be but don't try and discredit a woman's work because you have decided you want some change....and you can take that change and save it for our recession in 2009. BTW what is this us when you refer to the Clintons. I hope you do not mean blacks because that is where your ignorance is clear. I don't support the Clinton's because they are white and don't not support Barack because he is black. I vote based on facts and the truth is Obama represents nothing but hope. Unfortunately, we don't have time for hope we need action. Let's just hope that 2009 we have a Democrat as our commander-in-chief.

It's funny, people really want to believe that Barack just popped into politics at the 2004 convention but when you put the experience of Barack and Hillary it's really the same if not Barack may have a little more. Please remember that the majority of Hillary's experience consists of being married to Bill. But while I'm sure that's been an experience it's not enough to qualify the "35 years of experience" she's been touting. I mean I'm sure there are women who've been married to Dentists for the same amount of time but do you want them doing your root canal? The truth is outside of being married to Bill she has 1 tenure in the Senate. That's it. So the truth of the matter is Barack is actually more experienced than she is. He's actually done more while in the Senate (and House) as well. But for some reason people really buy that 35 years of experience thing from her. However, even being married to Bill hasn't helped her run an effective campaign, as a matter of fact Bill has done more harm than good. If you're thinking he's going to help her with the Presidency, ask yourself why isn't he helping her with her campaign? If he is he's doing a TERRIBLE job.

All in all it doesn't matter if you're for Barack or Hillary but seperate the BS from the facts. In my opinion, Barack gets a lot of respect from me for not running the same smear campaign that Hillary has. She's strictly old school dirty and dishonest politics, and Barack is new school (I haven't heard him stoop to the level of Hillary). Everytime Hillary comes out with a new attack it's like he simply "brushes his shoulders off". It makes her look even more pitiful. However, there's 3 reasons I don't want Hillary to win: 1. Don't want another Clinton in office 2. Dirty politics (trying to turn Barack into the "Black Candidate as reported by the AP and being so arrogant that she didn't even plan to Campaign after Super Tuesday that's why she ran out of money and had to loan herself 5 million and 3. It's beyond belief that the first woman who has a real shot at being President thinks that crying is an effective Campaign tactic. Really, while neither are great and neither of them have a lot of experience if you just look at the way they've run their campaigns alone, it's Barack hands down.

People should stop with this loyalty to the Clintons. It's borderline ridiculous, really what have they done for us that elicits this kind of loyalty?

"I want to reiterate that I appreciate and warrant differences of opinion in the comments section. It’s my goal to have this website serve as a forum for a variety of opinions. I just want to make sure people are mature, educated, and thoughtful in their comments. With that being said… Thoughts?"

LMAO, some people must not have read that part ^_^.

1. I didn't like the Bitch is the new Black comment either! The comment was purely racial and not comical or humorous. It stinks of desperation and REAL bitches are NEVER desperate!

2. I don't watch Oprah. I haven't seen an entire Oprah episode in 12 years. So Oprah doesn't influence my choices about anything!

3. The fact that Obama has won the last 11 straight primaries speaks volumes about the kind of campaign that he has run. Just as it does about the Clinton campaign!

Speaking of Oprah.. I'm looking forward to her new show. Keep on spreading love and giving Oprah. I 'thank you' for helping to make a difference in this world. Let the haters hate. And as for Obama, Proud of you!!! You speak of unity which this country lacks. Keep trying to bring America together. Oh yeah, I don't think she should have called Hillary a bitch. It rubbed me the wrong way.

I'm just really annoyed with people continuing to hint at the fact that Obama's supporters do so because of superficial reasons. I just find this so frustrating! Yes, I like Obama because he's African-American like me, and I like him because he's great at giving speeches, and he seems very easy to relate to (yadda yadda yadda). But most of all, I agree with his political agenda. I have reviewed his voting record relentlessly, and he IS a man of his word. Hillary, on the other hand, just made a speech in Texas (where I'm from) saying that she is and has been against NAFTA, but she has voted in favor of it continuously since she's been in the Senate. And let's not even get me started on this whole "Obama has no experience" spill. Really? Well, I guess lack of experience pays off, because it seems to me he's the one who voted against the war in Iraq, NOT HILLARY! He's a qualified candidate. Hillary may be, as well, but she' a politician. That's what her experience has gotten her...the ability to be JUST LIKE THEM. The ones who keep politics in this country the way that they've been for years. And it's time for something different.

I don't get this Bitch is the new black phrase. What does it mean? And how does it apply to Hilary? Is it saying she's wearing bitchiness like its black? Doesn't really make sense to me and I won't be buying this t-shirt. I think people go to far trying to make a profit, and then making a profit off of something that doesn't make sense.

Vote for who you choose, and I shall do the same. You can talk until you're purple in the face, but that will have no influence on my decision. Try it with the next fool.

Harmonica do you know me? Thank you! If you did you'd know that I don't give a flying rat's ass about Oprah and who she endorses. I despise that woman. Therefore, you need to come with a better argument than "we'd kill our first-born at the request of Oprah".

It is time for Mrs. Clinton to bow out of the race gracefully. She still has a place in politics and must protect the Clinton legacy, rather than appear to be a shrill below the belt loser. She is still seen as part of the “establishment”; the American people want a new direction built on change and promise, not the usual fear and discontent she peddles.

Yes, we CAN! Go OBAMA!

All these women who say "Oprah didn't influence my vote" are a bunch of lying whores. Oprah could tell you all to kill your 1st born and you would do it with no questions asked. All the black people are voting for Obama simply because he is "black". White people are voting for him due to all the biased media covering this event. Why vote for someone who is just gonna get "John F Kennedy'd" anyway? OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE. HE IS BLACK. EVEN IF HE WINS HE IS GOING TO GET ASSASSINATED. Who in their right mind would choose Obama over Hilary with her proven track record for change. People say the country was in its best condition when Clinton (Bill) was President, but who do you think was the voice of command behind the seat of power? It was HILARY! Obama has no white house experience and this whole "VOTE OBAMA" thing is a horrible fad that I feel is going to ruin the country. And before anyone starts trying to say I'm racist or anti black, I have news for you. I'M BLACK MYSELF. I can just see bullshit when its being thrown my way. Obama does not rub me the right way. he is Bullshit. The media conveying him as the cure-all to the countries problems is bullshit and EVERYONE will realize it when A.) the country is is worse shape when he is elected or B.) he gets killed and a shitty VP takes over that fucks everything up even worse than Obama did. People need to think with their brains and vote the logical vote. HILARY. Black people top voting for a man just cuz he's black and then lying saying you are voting for him cuz he is the "right" choice. You are voting because he is black and you know it. If you think he is the "right" choice then start naming reasons WHY you think that and compare them to reason why HILARY should be president. It's time to stop the bullshit and take a moment to reflect. The people of this country are givin a chance to turn things around and my own race in particular is disappointing me by voting based solely on the fact that a guy is black. So the fuck what. He still is under qualified and has no experience compared to Hilary. get it together.

Some of you people are just pitiful. Why all of a sudden when someone whose black is running , people wanna interrogate voters on why their voting? Black peolpe need to stop belittling themselves by feeling that you have to explain yourself,IT'S YOUR VOTE!!! I don't hear anyone accusing McCain voters of voting for him just because he's white and male. I mean c'mon let's be real, no matter who gets in office they're not gonna do half of the crap that they're talking about now. Politics has always been about popularity and race, which is why it took this long to see someone of color actually be taken seriously. You are all being racist and self-hating by questioning people's vote. My vote is exactly that,MINE!!! Period.

Can someone please tell me what Hillary has done? Because being appointed to political committees doesnot make you a leader. Hell Angelina Jolie and Naomi Campbell are Ambassadors but that doesn't mean they should be leaders of a free world. Come on people you too B. Scott (I love you babe) show me Hillary's credentials because I have seen Barack's.

I was actually considering voting for Hillary until all of her antics came to light. Bill used the Blacks to get into office and she's pissed because we aren't falling for it this time. Insulting a race isn't the way to do it! We want a President that is going to pull the least BS, and try to live up to the fodder they feed us. I'm not to say Obama is going to do everything he said, but I do agree with about 95% of what he is offering. Hillary has really just put a bad taste in my mouth. And the "Bitch is the new Black" ish was not funny. We all really know what she meant by that. AND IT'S BLACK HISTORY MONTH! lol..jk, but I'm Obama for now, unless Hill pulls her head out of @ss and gets it together.

Qualifications of Obama and Clinton

Let's take a closer look at who is really qualified and or who is really
working for the good of all of us in the Senate. Obama or Clinton?
Records of these two candidates should be scrutinized in order to make
an informed decision...Senator Clinton:

Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term--six years, and

another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law twenty
pieces of legislation in her first six years.

These bills can be found on the website of the Library of
Congress www.thomas.loc.gov. To save you trouble, I will post them here
for you:
1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site.
2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech
Month.
3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.
4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall.
5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson.
6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea.
7. Designate August 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart
Recognition Day.
8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart
Recognition Day.
9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the
bicentennial of his death.
10. Congratulate the Syracuse University Men's Lacrosse Team
on winning the
championship.
11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Men's Lacrosse Team on
winning the championship.
12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American
Revolution Commemorative Program.
13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda.
14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and
express condolences on her death.
15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry
Ford--firefighters who lost their
lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are more
substantive.
16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of
9/11.
17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11.
18. Assist landmine victims in other countries.
19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite
care.
20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto
Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

Senator Obama, Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too
substantive, so I will mainly categorize them. During the first eight
years of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills.

He introduced:
233 regarding healthcare reform;
125 on poverty and public assistance;
112 crime fighting bills;
97 economic bills;
60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills;
21 ethics reform bills;
15 gun control; and
6 veterans affairs and many others.

His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and
co-sponsored another 427. These included:
Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006--became law,

Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional
Weapons Threat
Reduction Act--became law,
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act--passed the Senate,
The 2007 Government Ethics Bill--became law,
The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill
is In committee, and many more.

In all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890
bills and co-sponsored another 1,096. There you have it, the facts
straight from the Senate Record.

An impressive record for someone who supposedly has no record
according to some who would prefer that this comparison not be made
public.
He is not just a talker--he is a doer.

60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills;
21 ethics reform bills;
15 gun control; and
6 veterans affairs and many others.

His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and
co-sponsored another 427. These included:
Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006–became law,

Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional
Weapons Threat
Reduction Act–became law,
Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act–passed the Senate,
The 2007 Government Ethics Bill–became law,
The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill
is In committee, and many more.

In all, since entering the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890
bills and co-sponsored another 1,096. There you have it, the facts
straight from the Senate Record.

An impressive record for someone who supposedly has no record
according to some who would prefer that this comparison not be made
public.
He is not just a talker–he is a doer.

Well, let's be honest Oprah has a lot of say, she's a famous face that people do a 100 mph just to watch her on TV. Don't act like a celebrity endorsment like that won't sway peoples views because we all know it will. Both of them are very flawed. I can't see either one of them running the country properly. I don't even think they could do a good job together.

And let's be honest here. It's been a dream of many to have a black president, so don't act like people arent just supporting Obama because he's black. It's the same thing with Hilary as well. It's sad because half of the people supporting either of them don't watch the debates or follow the campaign. This presidental election is almost soley based on race and gender.

You don't have to debate it at all, because doing that would only prove just how right I am. Don't come up here with stupid facts that don't have anything to do with a presidental election in general and stupid song parodies supporting a candidate. It's irrelevant, and you all know it.

It's ashame that for the first time a presidental election has so much attention for the youth and much younger votes ands it's only because one is a woman and one is black (Which is what most people are paying attention to). This just proves that we need to teach our youth more.

I'm 17 and I see (in school, and many other places) that people are solely supporting Obama because he's black, he's the savior of the black people, and he's lifting off the burden that blacks have carried since slavery.

Is this why we are supporting Obama? People are ridiculous sometimes. Yes slavery was bad, it was horrible but when's the last time you heard a jewish person talk about how much they hate germans and how the german "man" is holding them back. Please people, I'm so ashamed.

I not saying that I support either one of them but it's time for us to open our eyes. The reason why this is mainly directed to Obama supporters is because while Hilary may have supporters soley because she's a woman, its not as many as the people who support Obama because he's black. People are supporting them fro the wrong reasons.

NEWSFLASH Obama's not going to save the black people from the "racist rich white man" (like all white people are racist and rich). And Hilary is not going to change the world and elimated all the wrong-doings. (Again, people are cleary supporting them for the wrong reasons)

People, before you go out and vote look at the facts, who's the best candidate, who's will do the best at running America. I feel as though both of them are weak candidates, but only because Americans white, black, hispanic, asian, etc have poisoned their campaigns and turned it into a popularity contest and nothing else.

I do think that the media favors one candidate more than the other and SNL wanted to point that out. The slogan is not racist. I took it as a play on the fashion slogan as well. I thought it was funny.

Being black I would love to see a black person period as president but I like both candidates. I have not actually made up my mind. I have had heard great speeches from Obama, but the content hasn't seriously been there. I think Hilary has told us more of what she plans to do and how than he has.

I wouldn't have been as offended by that "Bitch is the new black" statement had it not been followed by those ridiculous gestures. Tina Fey needs to get it together. Your job is a comedian, yet you are using your outlet to sway the public in favor of Hilary. You're no better than Oprah.

And not everybody is an Oprahian. Just as not everyone listens to everything that America Ferria(mispelled?) pushes. I don't see anyone pointing the finger at her or anyone else who endorses Hilary.

i must say, for those who feel people should not vote based on emotions....someone should pass that word onto mrs. clinton. her last few outbursts, rants, tears, etc were ALL tactical emotion moments begging for the sympathy vote. i guess i understand. she lost so many in a row. but if emotion needs to stay out of it, the candidates should be the first to abide by that....finger wagging, threats like "meet me in ohio" like you're about to whoop somebody on the schoolyard is LAUGHABLE!!! that alone should tell you she's full of crap...look at how she blew her stack. and i won't even discuss the hypocrisy....hillary please

Pretty sure Tina was using the fashion interpretation of the expression, as in "This season, pink is the new black". But even if it was a reference of race/gender, I still don't think it should be read as offensive. Before you rush to judgement, consider Tina's writing style. Watch some back episodes of SNL or "30 Rock". She's a bleeding heart liberal and a racial insult is not her style.

I just wanted to say that I agree that America does need change, that's obvious. And both candidates will change the direction of this country in a positive way, with minor differences in their beliefs and plans. With that said, I think it is complete and utter bullshit when black people say that they aren't voting for Obama because he's black but because of his campaign and his stand on issues. I have plenty of HONEST black friends that will say they are voting for him because he is black and white friends that say there's no way they will vote for a black person. Now I say to you, how ignorant are people that will vote for someone based on race? The only thing that matters is the impact that they will have on our country, that needs a president that will turn us around and put us back where we were before the bush administration ruined our economy and our forward march into the 21st century. I am excited for the change that is coming to us but not without us changing first, our country needs to unite as one (black, white, Hispanic, asian, etc) and stop focusing on race! It is 2008 for god sake! If someone was the right person to be in office, I don't care what color or gender they may be, they would have my support. Obama doesn't have the experience or the humble nature to be president of this country, he is cocky not because of his extensive background but because of the fact that the media has him on a pedestal. If he wins our country will be in trouble.

Can we all agree her name is spelled H-I-L-L-A-R-Y. If we're going to talk bad or good about someone let's know who we're talking about in full. That being said let's proceed.

Not saying who I support or not I thought that Tina's comments were well thought out and surely racially motivated. I know that may be hard fro some to believe but that's what it is.

'Bitch is the new Black' stirs up images in peoples mind not of the little black dress but of the larger than life black candidate Barack Obama. Words have power yes, and words can also send subliminal messaging.

What's more frustrating is the fact that I've heard the term in other places 'Don't drink the Kool-Aid.' C'mon now America. If we have the option to do better we'd be better. Get the real and vote your mind.

Sigh...

I honestly would be satisfied with either of the candidates although I leaned more toward Hillary until recently. But what supporters of both candidates need to realize is that whoever wins the primary has NOT won the presidential race. McCain has a very good chance of winning. Why? Because things between Barack and Hillary have gotten so ugly that supporters of the losing Democratic candidate might just vote Republican because of emotions and hard feeling. Does it make sense - NO. Is it "right" - I don't think so. The bottom line is that you can't control how people feel and this has been a button-pushing campaign. I'd like to give voters more credit than that. It sounds silly but I have heard and overheard sooooooo many people make that statement.

(1) The comment "Bitch is the new Black" was waaay out of line. I, too, had a hard time stomaching that line. I don't think Tina Fey meant there to be a racial connotation, but...it came off wrong at the time and it still sounds more off-color than humorous to me now.

(2)I detest and resent the fact that people discredit Obama's support as based purely on emotion. As an avid Obama supporter I am telling you that people may be drawn in by his delivery BUT they are contributing to his campaign and calling others to enlist their support because of the CONTENT of his message. Don't believe me? Visit barackobama.com for yourself and you will see where Obama stands on the issues.

Also, I have said before and I will say again, that there is nothing wrong with Barack being an orator who stirs the emotions of the people. Similar to JFK, MLK, Winston Churchill and other great leaders, Barack Obama has the power to inspire and lead people to greatness. I don't understand how anyone can find fault with a person inspiring others to greatness.

(3) Although I never supported Hillary's bid for POTUS, I used to respect her. However, the more that she pulls publicity stunts and spreads false rumors about Obama, the more I lose respect. And, I guarantee you that HER ACTIONS, more than anything else is what has ruined this campaign for her and caused her to lose 11 primaries in a row. She has no one to blame but herself.

The American people have spoken, and we are all saying that the same old recipe for politics is tired and useless. The call for CHANGE is more than words, it is a declaration that we are all ready for a brighter day.

& contrary to tina, i didnt decide to vote for obama after listening to oprah. belittling his voters is ridiculous. we were able to see the facts and make the choice for ourselves.
as a BLACK FEMALE i didnt choose obama bc he was black, i did it because i think he is the RIGHT choice.

pne of the problems that i have with this race is that pple are criticizing the support obama is receiving since it hasnt been seen before in such magnitude. young people wait in lines for HOURS in COLD weather to hear obama speak. he should be commended for bringing such interest from the young voters.

I thought the opening sketch was OK, bordering on funny.I was a bit put off that they couldn't find someone with some more color to play Barack. It was Fred Armissen's first time at this character but he has room to grow. No stammering? I also could have done without his make up (or at least do his ears too). Tina's commentary was funny. Not as funny as Mike Huckabee though. That had me in stitches.

I just have a problem with American people who allow for their emotions/feelings to overpower their intellect/logic. This election is not an American Idol talent competition based on subjective opinion or who you feel should win. This is a presidential election unwarranted by feelings, emotions, subjective opinions, etc. Allow for the candidate's proven successful track record in politics to drive your opinion. That requires due diligence research on each candidate. But it's getting really silly and sad how most Americans favor the candidate based on skin color, gender, or some other subjective reasoning. What about their political background? Doesn't that serve a purpose?

I think it's nice that these is at least one media outlet that isn't treating Obama as if he's Christ in the flesh. I think the catch phrase is funny. Bitch could be the new Black. Sometimes it takes a bitch to get things done right. Ultimately, I think it's sad that so many votes have been influenced by unimportant factors such as the media. It's too much hype this time around. All isn't as it seems. Don't drink the Kool-Aid.
