But, I did want to clear one thing up. IF Barack wins I will note vote Republican!!! I could never support their candidate because I don’t support their conservative views and I think that is another difference between Hillary and Obama supporters. He has been made out to be this untouchable god in the media and Hillary is being presented in a very different way. I have heard really offensive things said by many (some on this forum) and while she may not be squeaky clean I still think her political career is impressive.

If Barack wins I will choose not to vote in the election period. I luckily live in NY which will undoubtedly go Democratic anyway! I will be back to post later about the tactics used on both sides.

3. Lying on Barack position on a womans choice intentionally

5. Changing her views when talking to different groups of people.

However, the REAL reason I will not support her are the following:

1. Bill Clinton Comparing Barack Obama to Jesse Jackson ( I was just personally offended by this. What are we all alike to him?
2. Hillary’s strategy from the beginning was to turn Barack into the “Black Candidate”. To me, that is just plain racist. While I am not calling her racist per se, the fact that she wants to envoke “racist fears” in the masses as to voting for a black candidate is just offensive. This by the way is coming directly from someone in her campaign (well maybe not anymore LOL). But what is she saying, we’re good enough to vote for her but that’s it. We’re not intelligent enough to do anything else? I personally can not get pass that. Notice, that once she realized that she/Bill really offended a lot of black folks is when she really started to court the latino voters. It’s like we’re nothing but demographics to her. Very insincere.

As I said before, I’m not that big of a Barack fan but I just can’t vote for someone who doesn’t think I’m as “good” as they are. Also, to be fair it’s possible that Barack has some dirty tactics of his own but I didn’t research it. I’ll leave that to you

It’s sad but I feel the same about Barack as you do about Hillary. If by some chance she gets the nomination it will be the first time I vote Republican. However, I will say that there is something really positive about this whole campaign. People are really getting out there to vote. I’ve always been disappointed that Black people in particular never went out and represented ourselves (and then wondered why the politicans never cared about the issues that are important to us). If it took Hillary Clinton/Barack Obama running against each other, I’ll take it. I just hope that this continues. Take care.

I think it is clear we agree to disagree but as for name calling people through some shade my way and I must defend myself. My intellect, education and class was called into question and that is not acceptable in a public forum.

As you guys say the race is over but my support will be with Hillary until the end. My only HOPE is that Obama can beat McCain because if not then we are in a hell of a lot of trouble in 2009. As far as you disagreeing with my statement that a lot of black people support the Clintons well that’s your perspective. It’s not a fact by any means. Please note, that when I say the Clintons I’m referring to both Bill and Hillary (plural). I don’t know how old you are but I remember that time in history very well. However, since Hillary’s past dealings are clear, it’s definitely clear that she’s not above doing business under the table. Honestly, I think this campaign has come down to do we go with the devil we know? Or do we become uncharacteristicly optimistic and hope this new guy can do better? First of all being from New York it is mostly blacks in this part of the country that support the Clinton’s that is not the same in the South or the West. I believe Hillary and Obama are bot qualified candidates on almost every issue with the exception of Foreign plicy he admittedly has the least experience in this realm and given our current situation in regards to America and our allies as well as our enemies, this is a serious issue for me. HOPEfully, when and if he runs against McCain he can find a way to make some strides in this area because it will be very important.

1. I’ve done my homework on BOTH candidates, that’s why I said her 35 years of experience is bogus. She’s running for President so with that being said, the only relevant experience is Political. I really could care less what she did in the Business sector. We’re talking politics here. However, in case you didn’t know Barack is ALSO a former Civil Rights lawyer and Harvard Law graduate.

2. She has been a Senator since 2000, Barack was a member of the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004 and then the US Senate since 2004. So again, in terms of actual POLITICAL experience there’s little difference between them. However, I’ll give you that being married to Bill has probably given her a lot of insight.

3. One of the reasons that the media seems to favor Barack has little to do with Barack himself but more to do with the general dislike of having another Clinton in office. I expect, that will all change when it’s Obama vs. McCain. Face it, she does not have a squeaky clean record. She’s the only first lady that’s ever had to testify before a grand jury because of the Whitewater debacle (she’s also had NUMEROUS criminal investigations done on her). As a matter of fact if you DO YOUR HOMEWORK you’d realize that she’s been involved in shady dealings since 1979.

4. How can you be a fighter and cry? First of all, she’s running for President of the United States. Any weak moments need to happen in closed doors. I mean, is she going to get frustrated and start crying in UN meetings? Think about it, what would happen if someone you worked with started crying at work. You’d think they need to get it together and be PROFESSIONAL!!! Doesn’t matter where she was, she’s losing terribly in her bid for President, the last thing she should do is show any weaknesses.

And let’s be honest here. It’s been a dream of many to have a black president, so don’t act like people arent just supporting Obama because he’s black. It’s the same thing with Hilary as well. It’s sad because half of the people supporting either of them don’t watch the debates or follow the campaign. This presidental election is almost soley based on race and gender.

I’m 17 and I see (in school, and many other places) that people are solely supporting Obama because he’s black, he’s the savior of the black people, and he’s lifting off the burden that blacks have carried since slavery.

Being black I would love to see a black person period as president but I like both candidates. I have not actually made up my mind. I have had heard great speeches from Obama, but the content hasn’t seriously been there. I think Hilary has told us more of what she plans to do and how than he has.

Not saying who I support or not I thought that Tina’s comments were well thought out and surely racially motivated. I know that may be hard fro some to believe but that’s what it is.

What’s more frustrating is the fact that I’ve heard the term in other places ‘Don’t drink the Kool-Aid.’ C’mon now America. If we have the option to do better we’d be better. Get the real and vote your mind.

I honestly would be satisfied with either of the candidates although I leaned more toward Hillary until recently. But what supporters of both candidates need to realize is that whoever wins the primary has NOT won the presidential race. McCain has a very good chance of winning. Why? Because things between Barack and Hillary have gotten so ugly that supporters of the losing Democratic candidate might just vote Republican because of emotions and hard feeling. Does it make sense – NO. Is it “right” – I don’t think so. The bottom line is that you can’t control how people feel and this has been a button-pushing campaign. I’d like to give voters more credit than that. It sounds silly but I have heard and overheard sooooooo many people make that statement.

(2)I detest and resent the fact that people discredit Obama’s support as based purely on emotion. As an avid Obama supporter I am telling you that people may be drawn in by his delivery BUT they are contributing to his campaign and calling others to enlist their support because of the CONTENT of his message. Also, I have said before and I will say again, that there is nothing wrong with Barack being an orator who stirs the emotions of the people. Similar to JFK, MLK, Winston Churchill and other great leaders, Barack Obama has the power to inspire and lead people to greatness. I don’t understand how anyone can find fault with a person inspiring others to greatness.

(3) Although I never supported Hillary’s bid for POTUS, I used to respect her. However, the more that she pulls publicity stunts and spreads false rumors about Obama, the more I lose respect. And, I guarantee you that HER ACTIONS, more than anything else is what has ruined this campaign for her and caused her to lose 11 primaries in a row. She has no one to blame but herself.

The American people have spoken, and we are all saying that the same old recipe for politics is tired and useless. The call for CHANGE is more than words, it is a declaration that we are all ready for a brighter day.

Oprah can not sway anyone, remember people, she is Oprah…not JESUS….okay!
