But I know how you feel... I lost my mother 2 years ago and I cry everytime its her birthday, Christmas, Easter, New Years, Thanksgiving is hardest... But to cope we leave an empty seat and set a place where she always sat on thanksgiving and we talk about all the good times we had with her. But since Im only 18 she won't see her grandchild born, she won't see me get married and she won't see me sing on my first real tour but I pray for her and when I talk to god...I talk to her... I lost my father when I was 14 and it has been almost 11 years and it does not go away, get easier it just gets. I want to say that my heart goes out to you because it hurts every single day. Now that I am older I would love for him to meet my friends, boyfriend, let me know if he is proud of me and everything you want your parent for. Love and advice from others helps and it eases the pain, but really if that is someone you cared for, which I can tell that you did, the healing, the crying, the pain never goes away it just gets. Something that I do to help is that I still talk to him as if he were here, I ask God to help me when talking to a loved one doesn't cut it and I also just never forget, and when that day comes when God blesses me with children they will know everything that I know about him so that his memory can live on. So just hang in there, and when you feel the need to cry, whenever wherever and if somebody tells you that you need to move on...SLAP THEY ASS!!!! ** With love and prayers Miss Resee!!! I think it may be illogical to expect your loss to ease over time because your memories of the person you lost clarify and solidify over time. If anything these memories become very much stronger. So stop this thing you have put upon yourself that you MUST feel better because you are further away in time from your sister. That is clearly causing you more pain that you just don't need. Own your sadness and your loss. Share as much as you can about your sister to all who will listen. This way how your sister touched your life will live on in everyone who knows you and loves you.
