Jay-Z’s New Job

February 21, 2008

Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) is the new majority owner of a marketing firm. According to Carter, Translation Advertising will be used to dispel myths about Hip-Hop fans while building relationships within the business world.

I personally got my giggle on at that “break dancing in the store when we go to buy a phone” comment.

You have to respect Jay-Z’s business game. He said it himself: “I’m not a business man… I’m a Business… man!” Exactly!

Well good he is trying to undo some of what he contributed to…those videos of his back in the day were party all the time, half naked girls bending over, etc…I guess he is growing up…

How many times is he going to say “ummm ya know?” 7 times in 30 seconds. A mogul but on his own? He has one of the best business teams behind him that’s for sure. Definitely smart in that regard.
