Amy Winehouse Brit Awards Performance!

February 20, 2008

Amy Winehouse performed at the Brit Awards tonight and to my surprise wasn’t that bad. Her performance of “Love Is A Losing Game” was actually on point except for the dance moves - I really hope she pulls it together completely because she’s a one of kind talent that I pray doesn’t go to waste! She also performed with Mark Ronson along with Adele and Daniel Merriweather which I also enjoyed!

I am pullin for Amy and all but she sounded like she had a marble in her mouth and danced like she had to pee in both performances.

But she is off the drugs and I know a lot of performers need drugs to get them through the fear so I will place it on her being clean and having to cope without it.

I love this song but I was not feeling this performance. It may be due to the withdrawl or whatever but sometimes her riffs just don’t seem quite right. I am a fan of her music and hope she is doing what she’s gotta do to get better.

Does anyone know when Daniel Merriweather’s album is dropping.? I’ve been waiting.

I didn’t like this performance. I guess because that is one of my favorite songs and on her album the song is flawless, it’s kind of hard to watch it rough. I am pulling for her though, she has too much talent, she really needs to get better!

she’s a work in progress, i think many, including myself, expect her to be out of rehab and on 100%, she has to cope without drugs like another poster said. so i’m loving everything she’s doing, praying for her and hoping she gets it back to where she was before the drugs because she has it in her.

I still love Amy. She needs to get it together but she’s still an incredible talent. Imagine what she would be if she was completely well again. ‘Valerie’ is my favorite Amy Winehouse cover and I enjoyed her performance of it here - wasn’t as good as it was on that incredible album of hers..but still rather good for a live performance.

the brits awards seems like more fun (from a performance standpoint) than the grammys. i think amy just has idiosyncracies that come with trying to kick, probably being on methadone and dealing w/ the nervousness that comes w/ not being high out of your mind on stage…but, i wanted to kick her when she said to applaud for her husband, blake. i kind of wish he’d go away. she does love that man, though. did you see her mouth “i love you” to him (in the 1st performance)? geez.
