February 13, 2008 New Video: Kanye West “Flashing Lights”

Kanye West just released a video for “Flashing Lights”. It’s my favorite song from the Graduation album and I’m glad he released it as a single. Thoughts?

    you KNOW this video is strange as $#!t! the song was one of the most crucial off the album…but what the hell does the video mean? why was the lighter fluid blurred out? kanye’s entire body can fit in the back of a dodge mustang? did she need to be strutting around naked?

    But this video is waaaaaaayyyyy out there. He could have went so many ways with the story of the jump off but he kept it real. Some women won’t burn your clothes up and throw them in the back of a BMW a la Angela Bassett in ‘Waiting To Exhale.’ They’ll kill you as quick as man would kill a woman over emotions!     call me sick but i love that video. that should go down as an all time classic. omg and mama was FIERCE as FUCk. when she got out of that skirt and got into her lingerie, flawless. wow what an amazing video. in my opinion this video is up there with thriller. i jus wish it woulda been a longer video.

    yeah the first poster said it, kanye and these award shows don’t mix, i mean damn if he doesn’t act like an ass as EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM!! but about the video, well the portion we say, i liked, i never listened to the full song so i have no clue what it’s about but i’ll give it a listen since i’m already liking the vid.

    ^^ Go listen to the lyrics of the song and you will find that the video makes perfect sense. This video is a teaser, its not the full thing.

    I think it was fantastic.

    I think for him (Kanye) it’s not about the video representing the song so much.

    He want’s you to feel the song and then feel the video, something to make you think about.

    It’s moving art.

    He wasn’t a performer in the video the Woman was Kanye just had a supporting role.

    I agree at listening to the lyrics and understanding. The female was fabulous but she can work on her walk, then again with her D’s it shouldn’t matter lol, I guess. No where near Tyra, Tyra knows how to work em so it looks sexy without ya tits coming out the bra literally, but she worked it out

    1st of all, that video that was posted as the flashing lights remix was wack as hell. a dude gettin pushed by other dudes in the street made no sense 2 me. also the only thing that made tha song ok was that it was the flashing lights beat.Kanyes video was far more artistic, and fierce. and yea muthafucka i say fierce.

    OMG. LOOOOOVVVVEEE this video. I like how Kanye once again thought outside the box for the concept of this video.The way the lyrics coincide perfectly with the storyline of the video is genius.AND The female in the video is bangin! Not to mention i loved the twist of Kanye in the trunk at the end…LOVES IT!!
