Amy Winehouse Will Not Be At Grammys!

February 8, 2008

Despite being granted a visa to enter the United States and perform at Sunday’s Grammy Awards, Amy Winehouse has decided to stay in London and perform via satellite, a wise move for a lady trying to stay sober!

“Unfortunately, due to the logistics involved and timing complications, Amy will not be traveling to the U.S. to perform at the Grammys in person.

Amy would like to thank all of those people, in particular the staff involved at the U.S. Embassy in London, who have all worked so hard to expedite her application. She is looking forward to being a part of the 50th Annual Grammy Awards with her Sunday night performance and to going back to the U.S. soon.”

What do you think, love muffins? Did Amy make the right choice deciding to stay in London, or should she have ventured over for the awards?

I feel the satellite performance is the best move. She is still in the process of getting it together and I don’t think she is ready to perform in front of major crowd just yet. A smaller venue would be way better. I’m so rooting for her to get it together though. I fell in love with her on Frank and to see her how she was, just sad.

Her visa got denied, so she couldn’t make it to the Grammys! You can’t have the Scotland Yard investigating you smoking crack on tape and think you are gonna get past the US Embassy for a visa….

    Smart move.
