January 23, 2008 Amel Larrieux’s “Weary” Sums Up…
…exactly how I feel sometimes especially on raining days like yesterday (and yes it rains in Southern California from time to time)! Take me higher lord, please send me a good man soon!
Of having to be so strong
Of having to pretend I’m made of stone
So I won’t end up with no broken bones
I can’t fight every battle alone
I want someone to lift me
Heal my wounds and give me kisses on my head
Say words that should be said
Fear is not the matter
I would so much rather open up my heart
And lay down my guard

I just wanted to say thank you for posting this video. I know what it’s like to be on a quest for a good man. I’m a huge Amel Larrieux fan and this song is just what I needed… At times in moments of confusion and loneliness…I often think my standards are too high and that is preventing me from finding the love that I want. This song was an affirmation to me this morning and I thank you for that.

Lovely song!!
Fear not B.Scott, true love comes when you’re not looking for it! Just keep right on making you, the most fantabulous you, that you can be and Mr. Right will find you!

Amel is the truth. I love all of her albums and her lyrics are deep unlike many other artists.

I feel you B! I’m gonna tell you what people tell me all the time that pisses me off—an attractive and fun person like you, why you aint got no man?? LOL Nevertheless, you have a great man in your midst already, God just has not revealed him to you and vice versa–all according to HIS time. And if any jackass tries to tell you that God would not send you the man of your dreams, just remember that His word is law and He did say “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course… I HAVE SAID, YE ARE GODS; AND ALL OF YOU ARE CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH…”—PSALMS 82: 5-6
You are destined to be blessed, but, you already knew that

Amil has always continued to do an excellent job at representing herself and her family. Her kids can be nothing but proud at how she represents for them
