She knows where she came from and she’s sticking to it she just wants people to understand her more through a “bio-pic”

Even though the skin color isn’t the same (which i’m sure they will fix) Robin is such a good choice. She ha sthe same high check bones that Wendy has.

Wendy is a Legend in my book.

That Queen L. comment was brutal though.

It’s interesting that she calls what she does a ‘career’. It’s also interesting that she thinks she’s ‘girly’. I would call her look trashy.. having very little to do with femininity.
I love Robin Givens, and am saddened to see her involved in this nonsense.
It appears that years of drug use has given Wendy serious perception issues.
Queen Latifa is more of a woman that Wendy will ever be.

I respect that Wendy is true to what she does. Robin is a dead ringer even if she is not her height. She can pull this off. Just get some short ass people as extras. I don’t like Wendy sometimes but I find her entertaining and she keeps the mic hot, period. I respect the game she is playing. If you hate her then she is doing her job. If you love her, then guess what she is doing her job. The minute people stop talking about her is the moment her star is killed. She knows this. I want to see the movie. I want to see what monkey doodle mess she went through to be the Wendy that she is.

lots of actors would love to portray a junkie, look at haley berry, jamie foxx, joaquin pheonix. and theyve all been nominated and won FOR playing the junkie.
robin should be so lucky to be in this film, her career is…. wha? exactly. and wendy is on the come up.
i respect wendy especially considering where she came from and where she is now. and if you listen to her show, yes she does talk alot of ish, but her head is on straight and her life seems well put together, as a career woman and mother.

billiam, great point. Mistyma I think you may be looking at billiam’s point of view a bit too one sided. For instance Robin Givens always says she never wants to be portrayed as a selfish, scheming over processed woman, but she seems to always accept those roles–even in that old toni braxton video. True indeed, we are and were stereotyped as many things and some of us still choose to perpetuate those stereotypes in everyday life, but at what point is the line drawn between deciding to take a paying role that a few folks out there may see as stereotypical or taking a role that the actor feel smay be challenging and keep their resume current? Nobody’s arguing over Katt Williams stereotyping black men as perm wearing pimps or about Ice Cube and Tracey Morgan stereotyping bruthas as criminals in their new movie. If you’re going to be closed minded to one, be closed minded to all. If you are going to be open minded about one thing, be open minded about all things–then decide.

Wendy is not one of the few people who “tell it like it is”. She says what she says, not because she is trying to be honest, but because she wants the attention she gets after she says it. What she said about Queen was totally uncalled for. There was NO respect there. She could’ve said what she said in so many other ways. BUT she said….Queen is a dude. But once again….she says stuff like that in order to get attention. Then she talk about the way she speaks, like she is just so well spoken or something….Come on, she is as ebonically inclined as they come. 1. Wendy is a woman
2. Everyone has feelings even the devil
3. Radio is a career. What is your Career?
4. How much better can you do in a movie?
5. Yes the comments was wrong about the Queen, but you would not have listened if she didn’t make the comment.
6. Wendy use to get high on the regular and had her drugs delivered to her. How many of you out there that get high can say that?
7. She has a second chance at life because now she is married and a God fearing WOMAN.
Bottom line is this: Don’t beat anyone for being themselves an understandin that they did wrong and dang near lost everything that they had. Remeberr that could have been you!!
I am from NY and I am happy Wendy is back. Especailly after the fight between her and Angie MArtinez.
