January 15, 2008 YouTube Singer Spotlight: Takiyah
So starting this Monday and continuing every Monday from here on we will feature only one unsigned YouTube singer a week. I will create a sub-forum in the LBS forum for you love muffins to post links and descriptions informing me of Youtube singers that you think should be featured the upcoming week. Well, this week I have chosen to feature the warm-hearted extremely talented Takiyah singing Beyonce’s version of Des’ree’s 1996 “Still In Love (Kissing You)” hit song from Romeo + Juliet. I know this might sound crazy but I have listened to Takiyah’s version of the song almost everyday since I discovered it, I just can’t get enough of her voice! You want more? Takiyah is a true talent!! I have listened to this so over and over also, her version is so beautiful it just moves me to tears!!

…ummm, there’s this little contest called American Idol starting tonight…takiyah…HELLO…! her voice has that chill factor…gave me chills as i watched the video ‘cuz it was so moving…
