I don’t know if you have seen this clip of “The Hunger Strike” Boondocks Episode that angered BET execs in its plot, “Huey takes a stand against cable network BET for its destruction of black people, and goes on a hunger strike. His protest catches the attention of media monger Rev Rollo Goodlove, much to the chagrin of the network’s inept executives, Weggie Rudlin & Deborah Leevil.” “The Hunger Strike” would have been the eleventh episode of the second season of the Adult Swim animated television series The Boondocks and the twenty-sixth episode overall. It was set to premiere on The Cartoon Network January 7, 2008, but this has changed, and the episode has not yet aired for unknown reasons.The names Weggie Rudlin & Deborah Leevil are references to the current programming chief of BET, Reggie Hudlin and current CEO of BET, Debra Lee. There is speculation that the episode may have been banned at the last minute, thoughts?

i say it is about high time someone but barely entertaning televison on blast. they have been giving black ppl a bad name for a good minute. i vote yes on this boondock episode. i laughed at the preveiw alone

This is hilarious and I love it. But I don’t think they’ll let it go through.. although it’s funny, if they were making fun of CMT I don’t think there would have been any issues.

They couldn’t air this episode the same week Hilllary was going to have Bob Johnson attack Barack. Now that that has passed maybe it will come on later.

I love the Boondocks, and I hope that they air this episode, I can’t stand BET anymore, and I refuse to watch it, and I won’t let my children watch it. They need to be put on blast. I find it ironic that they would try to pull this episode, yet the refuse to pull some of the bs that airs on BET daily!

BET is just mad cause it’s true. Besides this isn’t the first time Aaron (the creator) has blasted BET. BET needs to realize that by protesting the episode they’re just fueling the flames. The show is now getting free advertising (via the press and weblogs) because of it.

I really want this episode to air. The only people who get upset are the ones who don’t try to understand what Aaron is trying to say. So, I’m gonna pray to “white Jesus”(Remember the Passion of Ruckus episode?) that this does air.

This “Hunger Strike” episode of The Boondocks is set to air Monday, January 28 at 11:30p.m. I love this cartoon, it keeps me and my boyfriend rolling every time we watch it.

I can’t wait, I can’t stand BET – it has definitely gone down hill..not to say that it was ever on the hill, but they acted as though taking off BET UNCut was actually going to do something for the channel… I think NOT. It’s the same trash.
