January 10, 2008 Get To Know: Sia!
Love Muffins Get Into This! I did a post about my love for Sia back in November but her new album, Some People Have Real Problems, has touched my soul so much I have to post it again. There is so much crap out in music right now that it is so refreshing to hear such a true talent.
Although she has recently released her third album and her music has been used on countless TV shows, few people have heard of her. Her lyrics are so poignant, Even though Sia has put out quite a few albums already, you probably have never heard of her. This pop/folk singer has had her music featured on numerous TV shows like Gray’s Anatomy and Six Feet Under. Simply put… Sia is absolutely amazing. I really like the how her voice is both soulful and angelic at the same time. Her lyrics are always poignant and insightful as well. Lately I’ve been in a Sia kind of mood, so take a listen and enjoy. Here are some of my favorites from the new album, Some People Have Real Problems, and one of my favorite past hits “Breathe Me”.

…B, now you may already be hip to it, ‘cuz the music has been licensed by many ads and promotions, but sia also has vocals on an album, before her solo recordings, by a group called zero 7…it’s entitled, “simple things,” if you get the chance pick it up and listen…the album is so incredible from start to finish, just gorgeous, smooth, beautiful and inspiring music…kinda like…YOU…the definition of splendiferocity! do your ears a favor and check it out…sia’s on there, youtube zero 7, “destiny” is one of the songs with sia’s vocal, start there…an aural feast…you’ll just drift away!

Sia IS the business. Joss Stone reminds me of Sia vocally. Sia has been doing this thing for a minute…good for you giving her a little shine.
