I'm not saying that this is an excuse, but if this is the case it could be very serious. Seemed like everybody just started kicking her once she starting falling down instead of looking at the why of the situation. As a mother, I feel for Brit. Britney Spears was worked into the ground and seems to have never had a break. It looks like she tried to have a normal life, by getting married and having children but everyone just wanted to know when her next albums is coming out. She doesn't seem to have permanent mental illness, all be it I am not there, but she seems to just be very lonely and incredible sad. I have personally experienced custody battles, and I can say for a mother to loose her children is absolutely heart renching. I wish someone, if not me, could just hug her and hold her hand and be more supportive and stop calling her a bad mother. That all would definitely help the situation, as well as family members being a lot more loyal and not speaking to the press. Everything her family has is because of her hard work, they didn't do anything but reap the benefits. God bless her. This seems really sad.
