Update II: An insider at L.A.’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has revealed to Usmagazine.com that nobody wanted to be Britney Spears’ monitor last night.
Spears was rushed to the hospital around 11 p.m. and was designated a “special needs” patient, meaning “they have either overdosed or tried to commit suicide,” the source says. (See her being wheeled on a stretcher here.)
With “special needs” patients, the hospital source said, “we watch them so they don’t hurt themselves and watch the people who come visit them to make sure they don’t pass anything to them.
“So we got a call to go have someone sit with her,” the source added. “None of us wanted to go sit with her.”
Update: Life & Style is exclusively reporting that Britney Spears’ blood tests at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center taken last night came back negative, despite earlier reports from police that she appeared to be under the influence of a substance when she was taken from her home after a custody dispute last night. Well thank God for that, at least now we know she’s just battling her mentally instability and not a drug addiction too!
“Her blood test just came back, and, thank God, it was clean. There are no traces of drugs or alcohol of any kind,” a source close to the Spears family tells Life & Style.

7 p.m.: Britney is scheduled time to hand over custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 15 months, to Kevin Federline’s bodyguard.
8:30 p.m.: Police arrive at Spears’ Beverly Hills home after being called about a “custodial dispute,” LAPD officer Jason Lee said. Shortly after, Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, arrives.
9 p.m.: Kaplan leaves Spears’ home. Spears’ lawyer — who filed a request to be released from representing the pop star Wednesday — Sorrell Trope, tells Us: “In a normal case when someone shows up with a certified court order saying the kids need to be somewhere else, the police see to it that the order is obeyed. But that is in a normal case.”
10:08 p.m.: News helicopters hover over Spears’ home. Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department told City News Service that Spears appeared to be under the influence of an “unknown substance.”
10:50 p.m.: The fire department arrives. LAPD Officer Jason Lee tells Us: “The officers are still there. They are trying to resolve this peacefully and legally, according to the court order. They’ve been there since 8 p.m., and it is in regards to Britney Spears’ custody battle.”
11:05 p.m.: Paramedics take a gurney and a backboard into Spears’ home. CBS reports a mental evaluator was also called.
11:25 p.m.: An ambulance pulls into Spears’ driveway, parking behind her car.
11:50 p.m.: An ambulance carrying Spears and other emergency vehicles leave the scene; it’s reported that Sean Preston and Jayden James are taken to Cedars Sinai as well to be evaluated.
12:40 a.m.: Spears arrives, via ambulance, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A. (Police had erected screens to shield her from waiting photographers.) Federline and Spears pal Sam Lufti soon arrive separately. Around time of mom’s arrival, son Jayden, sucking on a pacifier, is carried into the emergency room by a police officer.
1:10 a.m.: Britney’s father Jamie arrives.
3:45 a.m.: A hospital source confirms that Spears remains under observation as a “special needs” patient.
4:15 a.m.: Paparazzi follow a car carrying Jayden James and Sean Preston to Federline’s Tarzana home

Mama and Papa Spears better get their ish together before they are planning a funeral for their child. They need to get her OUT of LA to an undisclosed location with psychiatrist on call 24 muthaf’ing 7. It’s a horrible thing to watch a family member go through a mental illness, believe me I know… But they are not doing this girl justice.

Clearly this girl needs to move out of the country or something. She just has too much on her shoulders right now and not enough FAMILY support, which would make just about anyone go crazy. I hope she gets better and can get her kids back.

This is really sad.. However, the top priority is the safety of those kids and it seems at this time they need to be given to their father with supervised visits with Britney before she harms them and herself.

We all know that Britney isn’t under the influence of drugs!
It’s simply Post-partum,divorce, and stress of losing her kids.
She needs to be near someone who truely cares for her & not because their on pay role. She needs help immediately!!!
I hope that they keep her for about 2 months so that she can get herself together. Britney really is a sweet girl & it hurts me to see someone go down so quickly.

B. Scott, I’m sure you’re going to do a video about this situation and I really hope that you are sympathetic and understanding. I know you like to take a humorous approach to things but there is nothing funny about mental illness or suicide watch. Please don’t disappoint me. Mental illness is VERY SERIOUS. People don’t choose it. It’s just real life. I have spent time in a hospital for a “special needs” patient – and there is nothing funny or entertaining about it. Keep it real and focus on the real issue at hand.

GOD, yes my GOD, my heart goes out for her and her children; she’s a EMOTIONAL MESS; THANKS to her divorce & her kids being ripped out of her life; realizing that Fed used her, and these kids are his $$$$$ money in the bank,emotionally this trauma has caused her to SNAP…

I just wanna say that I think that Brittany Spears is a lovely person and I think that she is going to snap out of what she is going through and take good care of her kids. She is a strong person. She will get through this!!

Brittany is going to end up harming herself if she does not get the help she desperatly needs! The boys MUST be removed from her permanently before she ends it for all of them out of desperation of loosing them to Federline
