December 31, 2007 Best Of 2007: Biggest Diasappoints!
Being the optimist I am, I usually try to approach everything in life with a positive attitude but sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade. For every high expectation I had this year, there were equally horrible disappointment waiting around the corner. Nothing seemed to embody this sentiment more than Britney Spears at the VMAs. My Love Muffins know how I stuck my neck out for ther and then…well we all know what happened. Let’s hope next year ends on a more positive note. Here’s the video to remind you of the atrocity.
Here were the disappointments that topped the list.
- Britney Spears’ Horrendous VMA Performance
- Amy Winehouse Ruining Her Career Before It Ever Really Got Started
- Gwen Stefani’s Lackluster Sophmore Album “The Sweet Escape”
- Jessica Simpson’s Stalled Movie Career (If You Can Even Call It That)
- Nicole Scherzinger’s Failed Singles (”Whatever You Like”/”Baby Love”)
- Jennifer Lopez Movie and Album Disasters
- American Idol’s Horrible Season 6
Who or What Disappointed You Most This Year?

I had never seen Britney’s performance until now. I don’t think it was as bad as people were saying. It just looks like she’s really rusty, and compared to her previous performances, it was lackluster. It got a little better toward the end.

Nicole Scherzinger was a disappointment for me. Her lack of single success pushed back her album and I was definitely looking forward to her CD in 2007.
“The Sweet Escape” was a great CD to me.. I’m a sucker for 4 In Morning, Early Winter, and Wonderful Life. At least we have No Doubt’s new LP to look forward to!

this is my first time seeing Britney’s performance.. it’s a disappointment because Britney was a great entertainer and danced way better than that.. she looks disillusioned or something.. i couldn’t finish watching it.. had to stop half way through the performance.

Has to be Amy Winehouse… I love her sound. But she has some SERIOUS work to do if she wants to bring herself out of the mud.

Amy Winehouse ruining her career before it’s even started? B, I love you but get your facts right…
In the U.S this year shes sold 1.3million copies and is nominated for 6 Grammys, peaking at No.6 on Billboard and No.1 on digital sales.Thats pretty impressive if you ask me.
In the U.K alone shes sold 1.85million copies and, 58 weeks after it was first released is still at No.5 in the charts.
On the world charts it comes in at the No.1 album for 2007 with 6.3 million copies sold…..
Not exactly a ruined career….

I hadn’t seen that Britney performance either…
Love Rhianna’s expression though. She’s like, “da hail?!”

Amy has to be, for me, the biggest disappointment of ‘07. Her album is EVERYTHING & I’ma just need her to get it together. There’s too much talent there 4 her 2 just… be a mess.

I was dissapointed about Britt’s “comeback performance” and Kelly Rowland’s album sales.
